Brisbane City Council hosts Asia Pacific Cities Summit & Mayors’ Forum

The Brisbane City Council hosted Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum (2023APCS) recently. The 2023APCS was for city leaders and those involved in the business of cities, bringing together one of the largest and most diverse gatherings of mayors in the region. A record number of 118 mayors, representatives from 171 cities, and more than 1,200 delegates attended the event. Australia India News was the accredited media partner at the 2023 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors' Forum in Brisbane.

Brisbane’s reputation as the cleanest, the greenest, and the most sustainable city in Australia continues to win global recognition under the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals Cities Global Initiative.

Mayor, Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Aam Aadmi Party Councillor Dr Shellly Oberoi, who was in the city to attend the Summit, delivered a speech on ‘Advancing sustainability through resilience planning’.
