NEW DELHI: India has conveyed its concerns to the US pertaining to their immigration reforms currently under consideration and sought greater access for its highlyskilled non-immigrants. Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai and US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns also discussed ways to take forward Indo-US nuclear cooperation with India reaffirming its commitment to pursuing nuclear cooperation with

the US, official sources said here. Burns' visit is in preparation for the forthcoming Indo-US Strategic Dialogue scheduled to be held here in the latter half of June and during the discussions, both reviewed the full range of bilateral relations and agreed to focus further on the economic issues, the sources said.

WASHINGTON: The police officer who risked his life to save victims of the Wisconsin Gurdwara shootout last year was honored by US President Barack Obama at a White House award ceremony. Six people were shot dead while three others injured when gunman Wade Michael Page went on a shooting rampage last August. The toll could have been much

higher if not for Lieutenant Brian Murphy of the Oak Creek Police Department who saved several lives after being shot 12 times from a close range. "When a gunman opened fire on a temple in Wisconsin and Brian was the first to arrive, he did not consider his own safety," Obama said during the ceremony. Brian Murphy
