Artists In The News Dane Louis Releases Catchy Country Track “Whiskey Wears Off” “Whiskey Wears Off” by Dane Louis is a country sing-along sure to make you stomp your boots. The song opens with Louis’s warm and twangy good ole boy voice accompanied by a classic electric guitar. The listener is immediately transported to a Nashville bar, which also happens to be the setting of the song.
The story begins with woman talking to Louis’ character at the bar and when the question arises about continuing the night, Louis warns her by singing, “Just looking for a little bit of healing tonight / something about it doesn’t feel right / like a radio played an old worn out song/ I might not love you when the whiskey wears off”. The story continues as the relationship goes sour. Louis poetically compares it to “a ship out at sea with no water to cross”.
Valerie Pascale releases new video for her epic track “Mollywood”
He forecasts the end of the relationship in the cleverly written bridge, “Whether its headaches whether its heartaches somewhere in between / there will never be an ever for you and me.” Turning a sad story into a honky tonk sing-along takes smart writing, and Louis accomplishes the job effortlessly.
The song “Mollywood” is sung in the character Molly (MDMA) who becomes jealous of the person it is attached to, because they are trying out new drugs. “Mollywood“, through different characters and a film-like feeling, explains the story of a person in a crowd trying to feel accepted and is willing to anything to fit in, even if it is selfdestructive.
“Whiskey Wears Off” is a classic country tune that is easy to dance to and difficult to get out of your head. Follow Dane Louis on Instagram @danelouisofficial https://www.instagram.com/danelouisofficial
As the song moves on, the story evolves and so does the main character, who realizes that Molly isn’t enough anymore to fill that void. In the bridge of the song, the person goes on a badtrip that ends with an overdose; mixing Molly with LSD (Lucy), adding alcohol and Marijuana (MaryJane) to the mix, followed by Crystal Meth (Christina) and finished with a shot of Heroine (Hero). By the end of the song, the character is revived, but we realize that they are still hooked, stuck in a loop, in search of that feeling and cries out “Molly, 6
Mollywood you help me” or “Molly, Molly would you help me?”, two different ways to see it.
Stars WW Awards and the Red Carpet Holland Awards. With the success of “Wildflower,” Hannyta has set the stage for her next single release.

The Perfect Union “Everything happens for a reason, Mykl and I trust each other, and we’ve taken the initiative to operate our products as a real record label.” said Henry. Last year in 2020, Henry released under Don Juan Entertainment, his smash hit “Pluto” on a mainstream level as a launching pad demonstrating what’s to come in 2021-23. “Pluto” aired on the 14 major Top 40 FM mainstream radio stations, cementing this record as the first new school freestyle track to air on radio for over a year on this level since 1992. Henry’s follow up records titled “Be My Chic” and “Abrazame” both landed No. 4 & 7 on the BDS Radio charts and in the top 10 of Rhythm 105.9fm, (a major top 40fm radio station). Music Sin Fronteras - International Music With Patrick O’Heffernan, Ph.D. Patrick O’Heffernan, PhD., is a music journalist and radio broadcaster based in Mexico, with a global following. He focuses on music in English and Spanish that combines rock and rap, blues and jazz and pop with music from Latin America, especially Mexico like cumbia, banda, son jarocho, and mariachi. He is a cyclist, dancing fiend and also likes to watch his friend drag race. He has relaunched his LA-based radio show Music Friday Live as Music Sin Fronteras- Music Without Borders - from Mexico - tune in every Friday at 1 PM Central the drums, and Juan Pi Medeles on violin and rattles. The band worked with the filmmaker to write the score and had recorded much of the music in advance. The magic emerged as Eleazar Soto (who is also a world-class saxophonist) played each file in coordination with the frames of the film, and the other musicians wove their unique sounds with the film and the audio files. It was fascinating to watch Emelia Galvéz switch between large and small drums, a digeridoo-like instrument, and rattles, coordinating live with other band members like free-form jazz – only it wasn’t; it was carefully composed.
Keeping the Legend of Michi-Cihualli alive Michi-Cihualli is the Goddess of the Lake. She commands the wind and the waves and protects the Riberas, the lands around Lake Chapala. She is also a great reason for people to make music and dance in film and art. This weekend that all came together in the Festival of Michi in Ajijic, Mexico. First, the legend. The eruption of a volcano in 1113 AD drove a warrior tribe called the Mexica to migrate to the Chapala lagoon where they found the Cocoa, a pacifist tribe who they then enslaved. They also practiced human sacrifice, throwing babies into the hot springs around the lake every May. Generations later, in 1472 AD, as the sacrifice began the lake began to rage as a huge, female deity emerged and commanded the winds and water to drive away the Mexica. Since then, her legend has continued in paintings, murals, songs, and dances, and to this day, she animates the environmental organizations who fight pollution and overdevelopment of the lake.
The last night we were treated to a local children’s rap group, The San Sebastian Rappers (named for the San Sebastian neighborhood La Cochera Cultural is located in.) They rapped their own lyrics in an set directed by Eleazar Soto. A legend dating from before the time of Columbus and the Conquistadors was kept alive with audio files, a computer controller, a drum kit, and a violin, and was passed on to the next generation with rap and dance… all keeping Michi-Cihualli alive. (Painting of Mich-Cihualli by Antonio López el Seco; Parade float by Alejandro Camacho Barrero. Thanks to Jesú Victorian López Vega for the Legend of Michi-Cihualli . See The Making of the Legend of Michi-Cihualli at https:// bit.ly/3qUPttE ).
This legend is kept alive with almost continual observance in the Riberas. It is hard to go anywhere in the town of Ajijic without seeing Michi-Cihualli. This weekend, the Goddess of the Lake was celebrated for three days with experimental video, audio files, and rappers at the La Cochera Cultural – a cultural center and artist’s residence. Patty Green, a talented young director from the University of Guadalajara, joined with the team at the Cochera to create an experimental film on Michi-Cihualli and a documentary on the making of the film. The Cochera staff built a three day festival of music, dance, and art around the film’s premier. The highlight of the festival, for me, was the live scoring of the film premier by an unusual band: Emelia Galvéz on a mixture of hand drums, rattles and indigenous noise makers; Eleazar Soto on a computer running sound files he had recorded over the past several months; Miguel Soto on

Ohio native Richard Lynch puts the success and inspiration behind his |influential album, My Guitar Drips Country in his own words with a powerful introspective and insightful reflection on how this album came to be. “I am extremely proud of this album, as I wrote or co-wrote all of the songs”, suggests Richard Lynch, as the songwriting structure has helped earn him many accolades within the Country music community. “The album is very personal for me as some of the songs are about real life and family members. This album was written with the intent the songs could help them and my audience.”
It was the family who inspired Richard to write My Guitar Drips Country in the first place. “My start in traditional country music came from my dad, Woody Lynch. He was a very talented singer and entertainer who performed for many years in our regional area. Country music was a way of life in our home, my father introduced me to the stage when I was 8 years old. He always supported and inspired me in playing music.” Richard Lynch also reflects on his father; “I get my work ethic from my Dad, I hear his words every day in how he taught me to work.” But not all his influences come from his father; “Besides my Dad, artists like Conway Twitty, Keith Whitley, Gary Stewart & Merle Haggard inspired me to make that real traditional country music I love.” In fact, from his masterful single Supernaw, Richard Lynch pays “a very heartfelt tribute to one of my country music heroes, Doug Supernaw.” Of course, these influences are even closer than that, “My wife influences me to be a go-getter like she is. We work hard to live the life we do.” To this end, Richard has penned “A special duet I wrote about my wife and recorded with a very talented
young lady, Katelyne Adams.” In the studio, Richard Lynch takes this hard work to heart, and for this Richard has had the privilege to work and share ideas with other greats in the industry. “It was a very satisfying accomplishment to be able to record with some of my country music heroes and friends, such as David Frizzell, Rhonda Vincent, Ronnie McDowell, and Leona Williams. They were all great to work with and we created some really good traditional country tunes.”
Furthermore, Richard adds; “Whenever I have gone into the studio, the Nashville musicians have all been very complimentary of the music I have written and recorded because it is all true traditional country music, that they enjoy creating; the type of music they came to Nashville to produce. They haven't been able to play much real traditional country music in recent years.” So outside of music what drives Richard Lynch? “Travelling up and down the road with my band and my wife occupies most of my time, however, I love to work on my farm. My other hobbies are fishing and metal detecting old home sites.” And it is this that makes home so inviting to Richard Lynch. His residence in 10
As the owner of Keepin’ It Country Farm with his wife, Donna, Richard knows the meaning of a day’s hard work. As the co-founder of the Love Tattoo Foundation, which assists with veterans programs, Lynch understands the sacrifices of our service men and women and the importance of giving back to your community. In fact, his farm plays host to fundraising benefits for the organization featuring some of the biggest names in traditional country music. Richard also cherishes his love and respect for God, family, and his fellow hard-working Americans. The words of his songs speak to his values...values that his fans and lovers of country music everywhere hold dear. Over the past 3 decades, Richard Lynch has compiled a long list of country hits and chart-toppers on both domestic and international sales and radio airplay charts, including two #1 iTunes chart singles, multiple #1 New Music Weekly radio songs, #1 IndieWorld and Roots Music Report chart tracks and a Christian Music Weekly Top 20 single. Richard has been in Billboard Magazine, Taste Of Country, The Boot, CCM Magazine, Country Music People, and countless others. He has also appeared on WSM Radio Nashville, RFD TV, Fox TV and more. He has recorded popular duets with legendary artists like Ronnie McDowell and Leona Williams, as well as Grammy Winner, Rhonda Vincent. Richard Lynch is a proud member of the Ohio Country Music Hall of Fame and the Independent Country Music Hall of Fame.
Ohio “has been good to me in making a living, and living a nice life on a farm, the only thing that I don't like much is the cold damp unpredictable weather we can have here.”
To experience his single Grandpappy, and the rest of My Guitar Drips Country, join Richard Lynch on your favorite streaming service or visit his website community at https://www.richardlynchband.com/
Richard’s latest single Grandpappy is a culmination of home, family, and tradition which has shaped the heart of the music which given life to this emerging star. “I saw my Grandpa's picture hanging on the wall; remembering all his Eastern Kentucky ways and how much he influenced me, inspired me to write Grandpappy.” Upholding the traditions set forth by artists like Haggard, Strait, Jackson, Jennings and other legends, Richard Lynch has been flying the flag for this brand of country music for the past 30+ years. Residing in Waynesville, OH, Lynch not only sings about country music...he LIVES it. 11

ThinkBendy releases New Album
The Essence of Time - Review by Joseph Timmons The Essence of Time, although being his second album, is still a first where Bendy plays his native instrument the bass, in addition to keys and singing vocals. On “Time is of the Essence,” Bendy raised the bar for himself finding inspiration for this project in an old drawing of his brother’s featuring the car shown in CHANGE’s album art, as well. To Bendy, it represents the deceptively large amount of free will we have to form our beliefs and use ordinary tools to reach extraordinary purposes. Collaborating with Bendy to depict and honor the freedom that DIY creates, Tiffany Lusht returns to design the album art as well, giving us this modernmythical image of billowing sails atop the car. Liner art features lyrics on an assortment of timeweathered pages seemingly spread across a navigator’s desk, proudly showing the curious beauty of objects that manage to survive years of wear and tear. Contributing to this album’s recording is longtime friend and collaborator Robert Salzer on guitar (from U-melt), jazz and orchestral drummer Devon Leigh, and guest musician Dr. Thomas Manuel on trumpet. Together they assemble to create Adam Bendy’s full-length second album in the thinkbendy project, The Essence of Time.
Adam Bendy’s musical endeavors began when he took the role of bass player with the Long Island based rock quintet, a440, who toured extensively throughout the Northeast from 2001-2003 and recorded a self-titled album.
In Review: "The Essence of Time" is in my opinion a great album, using some calculated risks in reviving some of the 80’s composition structure made famous by artists like Billy Joel, Leon Redbone and Warren Zevon (my opinions here) he creates a fun and frisky sound that takes you in and bounces you around with the beats. There is some lyrical prowess similar top Joe Jackson and more modern artists like Weezer.
From there, he performed with U-melt from 20032013. The New York City based jam quartet’s credits include several regional and nationally based tours throughout the US, as well as three album releases: The Unbelievable Meltdown, The I’s Mind, and Perfect World.
Opening with the track “Why This Way,” we definitely hear the Long Island sound in his background, the song “One Day” reminds me of the album Cold Spring Harbor, one of Billy Joel’s earliest claims to fame, due to the inspirational music composition.
Bendy continued his musical career with his project thinkbendy releasing the album CHANGE in 2017, and now presents his second full-length studio album with this project, The Essence of Time. 14
The track “A Man, A Plan, A Canal Panama” has a big bouncy keyboard movement that swings in and out like the tide and takes you on an audio surf. “Time is Of the Essence” is a surrealistic jazz piece, with full breaths, and it transitions perfectly into the final track Pot of Gold Blues. As one who grew up on Long Island myself, this is definitely the suburban workingman’s song of longing for the Goodlife, but working too hard to enjoy the life one has.
Joe Satriani Announces Release of New Studio Album Marking the legendary guitarist’s 19th studio album in his 35+ year career in music, Joe Satriani is kicking off the new year with a brand-new single and newly announced release; “Sahara” is available now, and lands ahead of The Elephants of Mars — set to land April 8th, 2022. With “Sahara’s” video directed by ZZ Satriani, The Elephants of Mars album release also marks the debut of his new label partnership with earMUSIC — the international rock label of entertainment group Edel. Pre-orders are available now and include a special limited digi-pack CD release featuring seven double sided cards of original artwork by Satriani representing each song from the album. In addition, several colored vinyl options will be available as well to pre-order including an orange, pink (D2C only) and a Guitar Center Exclusive purple version.
Taking a track out of the album sequence is the song “Low Down,” which is also a very good song, but does not fit where it is. It should have been placed at the end of the album, completing the mix with the lyrics “Give me that Low Down of what’s been going on,” which asks the listener, “Have you been paying attention?” The Essence of Time is essential thinkbendy and is essential for your musical collection, if you love talented artists.
When the pandemic forced time away from the road, Joe Satriani had an admirably productive workingman’s holiday that ultimately gave him and his touring band, all recording remotely in separate areas of the world during lockdown, the ability to deliver an album length journey that never dulls. The Elephants of Mars crackles with an exciting new energy, briskly traveling through stylistic roads that feel freshly updated, viewed through new eyes.

The guitarist challenged himself to create a “new standard” for instrumental guitar albums to be measured against — one which would work from “a new platform of his own design,” as he terms it. “I want to show people that an instrumental guitar album can contain far more creative and entertaining elements than I think people are using right now.” From the gripping, sci-fi madness of “Through A Mother’s Day Darkly,” to the isolation felt in a decaying urban landscape, as depicted in first single “Sahara,” to the general endorphin levels that peak as the elephants finally roar in the title track, The Elephants of Mars will stampede across your mind, leaving a sonic imprint that doesn’t fade. In 2020 with all time constraints removed, The Elephants of Mars truly represents the album that Satriani himself hoped he could deliver with his band. “We did everything. We tried the craziest ideas. And we entertained every notion we had about turning something backwards, upside down, seeing what could happen.”
guitar extravaganza. Satriani’s studio and live recordings have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide to date and of his many solo albums, two have gone Platinum and four others went Gold, with 15 GRAMMY Award nominations between them. His side project, Chickenfoot, featuring former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, former bassist Michael Anthony, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith saw their debut album certified Gold and their second studio album debuted at #9. “Sahara” is available now. With this new album Satriani joins the eclectic and exciting roster of earMUSIC. “Some years ago, we were lucky to be the label chosen by Joe Satriani for the very fortunate Chickenfoot project,” General Manager Max Vaccaro remarks. “It was impossible not to notice and admire the dedication, the work ethic, and the monstrous talent in the recording studio and on stage. “We knew, though, that he had the same ‘home’ for his solo music for decades and that, for him, being signed to a record company meant loyalty and belonging. It is with great joy and sense of responsibility that now, some years later, we welcome Joe for his first solo work with earMUSIC. We thank him for having written and recorded very special music that will make a lot of fans happy, and we like to think this will be the first of many great albums to come.” For over three decades, the guitar virtuoso has traveled the world, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star “G3” 16

The moment we knew that beyond a doubt was when we played a sold out show in Paris and had an amazing audience of French people sing the chorus back at us in perfect Hindi. They were so loud and clear that we couldn’t hear Jayant!” And on the album: Rakshak means "protector" or "guardian" in Hindi. We've always been as passionate about the message of our music as much as the music itself, and our goal has and always will be to make a positive impact in people's lives and on the planet.
BLOODYWOOD Release New Single "Aaj" Off Upcoming Debut Album RAKSHAK Indian heavy metallers BLOODYWOOD have revealed another explosive track, "Aaj" from their upcoming debut full-length Rakshak, out February 18, 2022! "Aaj" can be streamed via The Pit and their YouTube Page. BLOODYWOOD is a Folk Metal band from India known for pioneering a sound that seamlessly fuses Indian Folk instruments with Metal to devastating effect. Expect to hear the percussive power of the mighty Dhol, the melancholic Flute, the single stringed Tumbi and several other uncommon yet distinctively characteristic sounds from India. A combination of thunderous Hindi/Punjabi Choruses and meaningful yet unforgiving Rap verses along with the ethnic instrumentation, makes BLOODYWOOD a truly unique experience.
You'll hear songs that talk about combating mental illness, overcoming divisive politics, battling the poverty crisis, crushing corruption, eliminating sexual assault, hope, belief, and undying determination. Musically we've taken more than a few risks and pushed the limits of our sound both vocally and instrumentally. Besides having a few songs with our signature sound, we have also experimented heavily by writing our fastest, heaviest and angriest music yet, while also incorporating elements and instruments from genres that lie on the other end of the musical spectrum. We were lucky enough to be in a position to do something positive with our time at home during the pandemic, now we're ready to explode outwards. Rakshak being our debut album, we've strived to deliver one with no fillers. Rakshak will be released on February 18, 2022. Copies can be pre-ordered at the following locations: US: www.bloodywoodstore.us EU/International: www.bloodywoodstore.com
“The decision to be bilingual, vocally speaking, was a natural one that we didn’t really think about,” the band told The Pit back in November. “It just felt like the way to go, and it definitely adds a different dimension to our sound. We’re happy to share that people feel the emotion and understand the sentiment even if they don’t speak the language (though we did get requests for translations and 17
WAX MEKANIX Releases Mobocracy At Name Your Price For A Limited Time
The Nomadic released a new single titled “Grand Mistakes”
Hard rocker WAX MEKANIX has released his critically acclaimed album Mobocracy digitally on Bandcamp for "name your price." After two weeks the album will revert to it's regular price of $7.99 and all funds will go towards making his next album!
“Grand Mistakes is, along with 'Under a Georgia Sky,' one of the first songs I wrote on piano,” says singer-songwriter Rob. “I am excited to see what Nomadic fans think of it! It is probably a little different to the singles we have put out so far. And I hope it moves and inspires people in different ways. It is really a song that captures the essence of the fact that we learn and grow from our greatest mistakes. And also, if we choose to, we can stop family trauma and repeat mistakes from continuing in a vicious cycle."
Get the album here: https://waxmekanix.bandcamp.com/releases Watch the video for the single "Victorious": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y2lYFjJ1sw Waxim “Wax” Ulysses Mekanix is an American musician, songwriter, performer, producer, and founding member of NWOBHM cult rockers Nitro. Wax’s perspective and work can best be described as raw, authentic, bold, uncompromising, and disconcerting. Never one to remain creatively static, and close on the heels of his critically acclaimed prescient debut album MOBOCRACY, Wax Mekanix and Electric Talon Records offer three new well-timed songs that illustrate a striking sonic and thematic evolution for this American rock artist. As if to invite them to follow his lead onward into bountiful undiscovered musical territory, Wax’s diverse, open-minded, brave, and adventurous audience are presented with HEAD, MANCHESTER STRAWBERRY BLONDE, and FREAK BOUTIQUE. Tribal, exotic, mysterious, fearless, contemporaneous connective tissue between what has come before and whatever Wax sees on his creative horizon.

He adds, "This is a song that addresses the theme of conflict, reconciliation and learning from mistakes. for most of my professional life, I have worked in situations of conflict, including Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Israel and Palestine. I have often paused to reflect on the damage such conflict does, not only on those who directly participate, but the trauma that gets passed on, to families from generation to generation. That is, more or less, the theme of Grand Mistakes!" Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band. 18
In the year 2019, Rob took a short leave from the UN to follow his musical passion and focus specifically on songwriting and live performance.
the U.S. That trek kicks off on February 21 and runs through March 20th. Tickets for these shows are on sale now at www.DropkickMurphys.com.
The Nomadic released its debut single "Drifting" in September of 2019, "Waiting" was released in April of 2020; "Beyond Blue" and "Manhattan View" in June; "Walk the Streets" in October; and "Jeannie" in January 2021. These were followed up by "Skaterpark," in February 2021 and "Under a Georgia Sky" in June 2021. “Grand Mistakes” released December 3, 2021, and the single "My Mind is Racing" will be released on 28 January 2022, accompanied by the album of the same name.
The follow-up to their critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2021 fifth studio album 'Hestia' (which introduced new singer/ songwriter Mike Rivkees on lead vocals and rejuvenated the band's collaborative spirit, and marked an explosive new era of energy and creative release), the upcoming 'Brass for Gold' EP finds The Rumjacks capitalizing off their new sense of artistry.
Influenced by artists like Oasis, Radiohead, The Verve, Bruce Springsteen, Phosphorescent, The War on Drugs, Arizona and The 1975, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.
“After the amazing response we had from Hestia’s release, we knew we had to back it up, do it justice and show we aren’t messing around with any of this,” says bassist Johnny McKelvey.

IndiePulse Reviews: La Paix: Live at the Village, Vol. 2 by Marlon Hoffman La Paix: Live at the Village, Vol. 2 by Marlon Hoffman is a vibrant and powerful, emotionally driving album, with some reverence to a classic Rock & Roll style with infusions of blues and modern folk style beats. The album, though only 8 tracks, does run the gambit of meanings and messages.

One track that really has it all is a song titled Lady In Paris, which has a strong feeling of the 80’s power pop that was brought over the pond by bands from England and other European countries, to find a home here. All in all a great album to introduce you to the work of a phenomenal artist. Marlon Hoffman started his musical path as a drummer in the 60s, then a wandering troubadour with a guitar cross country in the 70s, including a stint with Kinky Friedman. Then in the 80’s as “Marlon Monroe '' with the Clones and The St. Louis Mopes in the 90s. In the early 2000’s he made LA his home and has been playing gigs all over Los Angeles from the House of Blues, The Mint, The Saban Theatre, Silverlake Lounge, Rock N’ Roll Pizza and The Canyon in Agoura. After opening for Johnny Rivers, Ambrosia and the Guess Who he is ready to take the show on the road with his merry band in support of their second studio album La Paix, Live at the Village, Vol. II.
IndiePulse Reviews: Good Things by Wild Ride
His friend Davey Johnstone from Elton John Band recently asked Marlon to sing two of his new songs. Marlon’s friend Bernard Fowler from the
Power Rock group Wild Ride have brought forth their recent release Good Things to the clamor of 26
fand new and old. 9 rocking tracks of feel-good rock, wonderfully written and performed by Marek & Kerri in their signature style. A truly international rock’n’roll band, Wild Ride is based in Los Angeles, California, where they have shared the stage with some of the greatest artists ever.
headlined at the Zlotoryja Days Festival. Finally, their resume also includes recent and upcoming opening gigs for Adler’s Appetite, Albert Lee, Mark Farner, LA Guns, Bulletboys, Y&T, and Buckcherry. Wild Ride’s signature sound is a musical mix of multiple rock music sub-genres. Marek lists his early sources of inspiration as AC/DC, Kiss, UFO, Iron Maiden, and Jimi Hendrix. Kerri was initially influenced by Bob Marley, Prince, UB40, and after being exposed to the live music scene in London, other acts such as Boy George, Eddie Grant, Maxi Priest, and Diana Ross.
“I Wanna Know Where I’m Going” is less hard rock and more of a personal piece that sounds as if it focuses on their relationship. They pick things up a little bit on “Hotter Than Fire.” This is another previously released track. This also reflects on the couple’s burgeoning relationship. It features Connie Early, Paul Raskin, and Makeda Hawkins on background vocals.
She also adds acts such as The Beatles, Abba, the Rolling Stones, Blondie, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Police, “and reggae music in general.” Finally, she also likes Motörhead’s drummer Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor, Richie Ramone, Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real and Steve Adler too.
"I'm Still Alive" by Wild Ride is inspired by Marek working hard to make a living as a musician, by playing music on weekends, at bars, and the Santa Monica Pier. It was also inspired by Kerri who survived a stroke, both continuing to live their dream of playing music, and hoping to inspire others to overcome their own obstacles and reach for their dreams.
The entire album is an amazing journey, and wild Ride takes you along to enjoy all the ups and downs in the music world they love. Good Things is an album is a new presentation of largely previously-released material. This is why it often sounds as if they have been playing the material for years. Hardcore fans will find the release to be welcomingly familiar and newcomers will be able to get an accurate idea of just what this tuneful twosome can do. It’s highlighted by hard rock with strong riffs, exuberant guitar solos, and memorable melodies to boot.
Kerri plays bass here on “Hello Monsieur Mon Ami.” It’s the dynamic duo’s first French song and was reportedly inspired by Marek’s time in France and by someone known as “the ‘Superhero Reader’ Tapahia Heke.” This one provides the disc with a memorable change-up. It features background vocals by Sistar Harmony a.k.a. Julie Rado. With a real "do it yourself" band approach, they made their own video for YouTube, "Wild Ride, I'm Still Alive" near the pier with one of their bass players, Mark Ludmer.

Marek, once a member of the EMI-signed French rock band Tipsy Wit. Their sole release is titled Songs and Dreams. The band also opened for Iron Maiden. After relocating to L.A. to start fresh, Marek joined a cover band. Marek met Kerri and asked her to be his songwriting partner and lyricist. Kerri, a native New Zealander raised amidst Maori culture, had previously come to L.A. after discovering a sincere interest in a career in music. When the regular drummer left one night in 2010, Kerri was asked to sit in with the band. The show was a success. Marek bought her a drum-kit of her own and Wild Ride was born. The performing pair’s rockin’ resume includes a number of independently produced singles and albums. Marek was included in an ensemble of artists who set a Guinness World Book Record for “the largest guitar ensemble” at the popular Thanks Jimi Festival in Wroclaw, Poland. The act also 27

Upon her coming of age, she and the band moved to LA where they played the local blues/rock festivals. Unfortunately, before realizing any commercial success, the rigors of the music business saw the band break up, with most of the members going home to Michigan. Sandy however, persevered, staying in Los Angeles and assembling another band – one with the right musical chemistry that showcases Sandy’s unique fusion of Gospel and Contemporary Blues. Along the way, she has shared the stage with Contemporary Blues stars like Teresa James, Coco Montoya, Tommy Castro, John Nemeth, and many others. As a member of Detroit’s popular rock band, The Rockets, Haley performed with musical giants Joe Walsh, The Beach Boys, and Sammy Hagar. Sandy talks about the songs on “Feels Like Freedom.” “Never Sleep Your Way to the Middle,” a tongue-incheek, true story of an office worker’s romance with the married boss with a humorous message and advice to girls of all ages and is currently getting international blues radio airplay around the world from USA to UK and Europe, The Netherlands and Australia! SoCal Blues Vocalist Sandy Haley Wins SCVBS IBC, Releases New Album “Feels Like Freedom”
“Feels Like Freedom” is an anthem for hard-working people that want to celebrate life, love and friendship. Feel the vibe of ” No work all play” and you’ll get swept away. Sandy wrote this song while inspired on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise. “The waves and the wonderful people all enjoying the bands gave me the realization that “I want to live my life this way, how about you?!”
Southern California-based blues vocalist Sandy Haley has proudly released her new album “Feels Like Freedom,” independently on CD, Vinyl, and Digitally this past January 17, 2022, which is available at sandyhaleymusic.com. Produced by Grammy-winning artist Tony Braunagel, Haley describes the recording as “a testament to life, living and kicking ass in the 21st Century.” According to Sandy, “I was a gospel singer until I got my heart shattered in a breakup. Then I craved the blues as an ointment for my soul.” Sandy Haley and the band exude a high-energy, soulful, blues entertainment experience with powerful vocals that gets the crowd up on their feet dancing. They present their original music with a deep connection to Chicago blues and Rhythm and Soul Blues.
“Love Me Right or Cut Me Loose,” is a soulful ballad and personal story, dedicated to all the single parents who have protected and raised their kids with love through lonely nights. “Dirty Dog” is always a crowd favorite, with its catchy Swing/Blues beat and humorous look at what goes on after midnight! The entire album is wonderful, and is truly a breath of fresh air in a music industry that is filled with mediocrity, Sandy Haley is definitely one to watch, and love in the 2022 Music Season.
The vivacious Haley won the Santa Clarita Valley Blues Society’s 2021 “Best Blues Band” at their recent yearly IBC (International Blues Competition) and was getting ready to travel with her band to Memphis to compete nationally, when it was announced on New Year’s Eve the Memphis IBC was being postponed due to the latest Omicron outbreak.
