Spinning, Producing, and Remixing Circuit, Vocal-House, Tribal, Top 40 Club tracks is only the very beginning of his talents. When not vibing at the clubs, Rob spends his time in the studio creating his own music, or working tracks for other artists. With his many years of work in the music scene, both locally and abroad, holding multiple residencies, he is often found at special events enjoying mass appeal and a well established celebrity. Rob has had a lot of time to develop his style and sound. His fans have compared his sets to that of riding a rollercoaster; the apprehension, the excitement, the thrill, throwing your hands in the air, and when it’s all over, leaving you wanting more. Rob describes his style “as hit em’ hard and keep on hitting them.” For Rob it’s all about the mood and the groove. Robs blend of uplifting house vocals, hard pounding bass lines, and punchy synth grooves, which allows you to let go of any troubles you may have, and takes you on a musical journey.

Robs achievements include being voted the best LGBTQ DJ in Jacksonville, Florida three years running by CityXtra Magazine(2014, 2015, 2016), 3rd place Best DJ in Jacksonville, FL by Folio Weekly Magazine (2019), as well as remixing artists such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, and Many more. Robs new Venture includes scouting for new artists, and releasing their productions on his label Moore Music LLC.

When asked what Rob does to prepare for a set, Robs answer is simple “nothing.” “Of course I have a list of the hottest remixes that I’m going to drop throughout the night, but no one can plan how the night is going to go. That’s why reading the crowd becomes more important than a pre-planned set list. Being Spontaneous keeps me on my toes, keeps it real, and keeps it exciting,” he explained.

When Robs starts spinning, don’t be surprised when you suddenly find yourself dancing. Check out some of Robs mix sets, remixes, and videos at;

It’s not uncommon for Rob to leave from behind the decks, hit the dance floor for a few minutes, and run back behind the decks, all while keeping the momentum going. When asked why he does that, he replies, “Because it’s fun. I get so excited when I see the crowd having a good time, that I want to be a part of that energy. It’s also a great way for me to meet and thank the patrons for coming out.”

New Album on Floating Records The Country Well—Drink More

Camo Brian

Floating Records is proud to announce the return of the sonic-ally-experimental musical collaboration known as “The County Well: Drink More” (Release Date: Tuesday, September 21).

Camo Brian’s music and style has been described in many ways, yet due to its truly eclectic and multiple genre-blended fusion of Rap, R&B, Country and Pop, crosses diverse musical boundaries for fans old and new.

“Drink More” follows the success of the release of their debut CD, “Future Country,” and second outing, “A Little Infinity,” which was paired with the creation of a uniquely-crafted infinity lager beer from the Sawtooth Brewery.

Recently signed to Average Joes Entertainment out of Nashville, Camo Brian is happy and excited about his latest release of his new hit single “Ever Been”, in this song he sings testament to a person finding joy and peace in being who they are meant to be. No malice, no anger, just good plain inner wisdom.

“Drink More” continues the creeds of Freedom and Fun. Having moved to the Wood River Valley of Idaho from Marin County, where The County Well was conceived, Don Zimmer, County Well co-founder, who is also producer, guitarist and songwriter, has continued his creative pursuit of the Tom-Waits-Mad-Professor-of-the-Recording Studio style.

Camo displays his penmanship skills brilliantly as he divulges into some of the simpler things that can put a smile on anyone’s face. Camo, hailing out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, proves with this single how you can be “Already Famous” in your own way, staying true to one’s self.

Painstakingly recording one track at a time with stalwart musicians from across the country, Zimmer has produced a twelve-song, thirty-twominute journey across multiple musical genres. Graham Guest, County Well co-founder (of Houston-based group Moses Guest) provides lead vocals, guitar, banjo, pedal steel and keyboard throughout—all while adding significant tone, texture and style to the tracks. Also featured: on drums, Josh Kelly (Bruce Willis Band); bass, Lyle Evans (Chris LeDoux); horns, Bob Hemenger; violin, Bill Panks; keyboards, Adam Rossi (Jeffrey Halford); local Paul Gregory on guitar, Mark Karan (from Bob Weir’s Ratdog); plus the aforementioned Guest and Zimmer. The uniqueness of “The County Well: Drink More” comes from the joy of the recording studio and the love of blending voices while keeping the rhythms and grooves tight. Drink More was produced at a time when session work was the only work around. Floating Records is honored to share the captured sounds of these incredibly talented artists. sunvalleyrecords.com

Shawn Owens discusses a few of the tracks on “Jazz Hands II.” “‘Owen's Loop’ is a nice, easy swing tune that is named after a local hiking trail that is a nice easy full loop trail in (Owen’s hometown of) St. George (Utah). The trail takes you to a high point that offers a great view of the city and is a fairly easy hike. The song being inspired by this trail has a nice easy bounce to it that reflects hiking the trail early morning to watch the sunrise.”

‘Taking Diagonal’ “is a song inspired by Diagonal Street that runs thru a part of historic downtown St. George, UT. Diagonal St. borders Ancestor Square, which is a piece of history to the locals, and houses several art galleries and high-end restaurants and cafes. The song was written in a Latin style to reflect class and sophistication that is the image this area exudes, but we also wanted to keep it fun and light as to not be too serious.” ’”Indigo’ is a ballad that is inspired by the night sky in Southern Utah. The high desert has some of the best skygazing in the country due to the lack of clouds and absence of light pollution. The song conveys the peace and tranquility experienced when laying under the stars and just letting yourself relax and enjoy the peace and quiet while staring at the heavens.”

THE SHAWN OWENS PROJECT TRIO RELEASES “JAZZ HANDS II” The Shawn Owens Project Trio releases “Jazz Hands II.” This adventurous project consists of drummer Shawn Owens, pianist Christian Bohnenstengel, and bassist Ryan Tilby. Music written by Christian Bohnenstengel, recording by Ryan Tilby. “Jazz Hands II” consists of nine tracks: “Owens Loop,” “Taking Diagonal,” “On Flood St.,” “Indigo,” “Turtle Wall,” “City Creek,” “Whiptail,” “Silver Reef,” and “Owen’s Loop (Take 2).”

“‘On Flood St.’: Although we don't typically get much rain in Southern Ut, we do have a monsoon season that can bring a lot of precipitation in a short time. The street 400 East, known as Flood St by the locals, is a street that when it rains a lot, in a short amount of time, quickly becomes a river of sorts earning it the name Flood St. The song is a very upbeat swing that captures the energy of the swiftly flowing water brought by the much-needed rain in the desert.” Drummer Shawn Owens is from Cincinnati, Ohio. He fell in love with jazz at an early age and was influenced by Art Blakey, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, and Dave Weckl. Shawn left music behind for a while, but when he moved to Utah he found his way back to jazz when a jazz group performing at a local restaurant didn't have a drummer and invited him to audition right then and there on the house drum set. Shawn got the gig and has been playing ever since. While Shawn's favorite genre is jazz, his touch and 8

musicality along with his professionalism has landed him on the first call list for fill in work (live and studio) for classic rock, country, gospel, and reggae bands. Shawn also loves sharing his love of drumming with the youth and is often called on to do clinics at local high schools working with the Jazz Bands and Drum Lines. German pianist Christian Bohnenstengel feels equally at home in a wide range of musical genres. He was recently featured as soloist in Ludwig van Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with the Orchestra of Southern Utah and in Richard Adinsell’s Warsaw Concerto with the Southern Nevada Symphony Orchestra. Christian is a founding member of Southern Utah University’s faculty jazz combo Kind of Blue and frequently performs with jazz ensembles and musicians throughout southern Utah. Praised as "...a master of contrasts..." (Aalener Nachrichten) and for his ability to "...put the audience into a state of sheer awe..." (Gmünder Tagespost), Christian’s performances have taken him all over the United States, to South America, to China, and to Europe. Christian’s collaboration Set No Limits with clarinetist Dr. Jessica Lindsey was released on Albany Records in 2018 and his debut jazz album with The Shawn Owens Project, Jazz Hands, was released in 2020. He also wrote a follow up album featuring original tunes titled Jazz Hands 2 with The Shawn Owens Project that was released in 2021. Christian received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Missouri Western State University. He earned Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Christian has been Director of Keyboard Studies at SUU since 2011 and teaches courses in classical and in jazz piano. Heavy Halo launches a New Music Video "Control You" & Announces Album Details

Heavy Halo is a Goth-Grunge blood-pact forged in the NYC underground between McKeever and Gosteffects. The band takes the spirit and existential angst of Alternative and Industrial and passes it through the shattered prism of the internet age, refracted and made new. Jagged guitars and raw electronics explode over gut-rattling 808's. But at their core, Heavy Halo are melody junkies, lacing tracks with shameless hooks and McKeever's 100% unfiltered vocals. Inspired by the sweaty Brooklyn, NY warehouse underground, Heavy Halo gathered many of their friends together to express their beautiful freakiness and individuality. The video is a snapshot of the 2021 NYC DIY spirit -- punks, goths, ravers, ballroom voguers, rappers, & fashion-heads all coming together in the name of chaos. Mike McKeever of Heavy Halo explains further.. “Control You” is about riding that thin line between spiraling into complete disorder but attempting to hold control over your fate. You grip the wheel, but it has ideas of its own. The tension threatens to tear you apart, but the adrenaline is undeniable" The music video for "Control You" premieres on Alternative Press and can be seen below. Heavy Halo's self-titled debut album will be released November 5th on Alternative/Electronic label Negative Gain.

Guild Award Nominee, an International Music and Entertainment Association Award Winner, an IMEA Award nominee and a Josie Show Awards winner. On top of that, Ed’s uniquely crafted songs have received regular rotation on more than 100 terrestrial radio stations across North America and more than 600 stations, worldwide.

Ed Roman—A Rough Happiness

Despite this, he doesn’t let it get to his head much, staying humble and grounded through his eccentricities and witticisms. In fact, he greatly appreciates his fans and the attention he gets, seeing it as a chance to express himself, his humor and his ideas on his craft.

So, what exactly does Ed Roman have in the works right now? For starters, he’s got a new album coming along tentatively titled ‘A Recipe For Perpetual Spring’. His last two singles “Stronger” & “Tomorrow Is Today” have been doing incredibly well receiving, attention on multiple radio stations, reviews and video acclamation awards.

Ed Roman is an eccentric; a unique personality in the world of music. The Canadian musician, quite like the music he writes, is a deep and introspective person with a taste for sharper humor and irony.

On top of that, he’s also working on another single releasing on October 1st, and one more after that he plans to release alongside the upcoming album. Finally, he’s working on an exciting new video for ‘Happiness’, which will embrace his more chaotic, Tom Waits-ian side. Ed claims “I’ve already started shooting a bunch of things in the last couple of weeks. I really like working in a video medium when it comes to painting a visual picture that helps accompany the lyrical content. It’s going to feel something more like the Clyde Beatty revolving circus meets Tom Waits nighthawks at the diner with overtones of fine dining and horrific images.”

It’s refreshing to see an artist that’s simply unabashedly himself. On the cover of his latest single, ‘Happiness,’ Ed’s face features prominently in what can only be described as an angry clown get-up. For a single cover, it’s pretty zany and out there and fitting with the Halloween mood. Ed explains it in a way that’s much deeper, showing a lot of thoughtfulness behind the choice. According to Ed, “the clown represents the dialectic emotional behavior we all vacillate in every day. The emotional barometer if you will. Tragedy and humor are interwoven all through our history as people. In my opinion, we live in tragic times and the greatest weapon you can wield of all is sarcasm and humor.” He believes that suppressing emotions are tantamount to limiting one’s self, and that transformation comes from expressing pent-anxieties. These beliefs and ideas come from his own experiences of laughing and crying by himself, and learning that these complex ideas lead to realization of new and better things. Aside from his banter and approach to songwriting, Ed has also done a lot of work for The Whole Dyslexia Society. As someone who suffers from dyslexia himself, Ed has always wanted to reach out and help others who have it, and with his work on Red Omen, he’s managed to achieve just that.

For now however, Ed is perfectly content continuing to make the music he loves and living his best life, even through difficulty, fear and adversity. Ed himself says it best, and we hope for the best in his future endeavors.

“Red Omen has become the mouthpiece and Vanguard for raising awareness for tutoring and facilitating programs for children that struggle with dyslexia. It’s been a bigger than me experience. The more I gave away the more came back,” says Roman.

“I’m never gonna stop writing or playing. Not until I push up the daisies. I feel more empowered as a human being today and at the same time heroically terrified to approach the next coming years with an open mind, a peripheral conscience and a big heart.” - Ed Roman

When it comes to achievements, Ed is an Artists Music

The Dark and Strange Singalongs of Bleek Noir Christopher Fox, native of the UK is a artist with a dark secret, one that shies from the light of day, yet thrives in the dark and shadowed alleys of a Gothic English Empire. Under the moniker of Bleek Noir, armed with his wit and a guitar that raises the veil between worlds, he is the night. The music of Bleek Noir has been, and continues to be, enticing and hypnotic, and his latest offering into the darkness within. The work of Bleek Noir has a very special place with us here at IndiePulse. Christopher Fox has created music that is for us, the Freaks and Geeks, the Sideshow Rejects and the Phantoms Trapped Within a Work That Understands Us Not, he is the voice that leads us to our sinful |salvations and creates a sound that is the darkness that cradles us and holds us in loving slumber, away from prying eyes and pointed fingers.

The Music of Bleek Noir is a masterpiece of dark and broody fun. With mystery and shadows, Bleek Noir has brought a Victorian Era and Nuevo Goth sound to the light of day. Imagine if Halloween had an emotional cry of love. To sum up the work of this artist would be in phrasing “what if Edgar Allen Poe had been a lyricist” or “what if Tom Waits had a thing for Vampires,” the sound of Bleek Noir from the UK is breaking boundaries

A euphoric and quite exotic sound that is, in itself, refreshing, there are so many that claim an experimental sound, but this is truly imperial. I would put this to mind, and I am not sure that the artist would have expected to come up with a new type of music, but if I could give it a name, I would honestly call it “Audiorotica” – Yes, Sound Porn is now a thing! 13

A sound that may include echoes of rockabilly, surf, early roots of jazz music, and even tones of Goth, while being none of the above, its influences are wide, ranging from early jazz to a modern rock. His music is a carnival ride of the senses, with an upbeat tempo making you imagine a sideshow barker, all in black, inviting you into the freak show, with the freaks not in the cages, but surrounding the cages, placed there to protect the innocent within. Over the years since we first found Bleek Noir, we have been very impressed with his music with his originality and enduring powerful prose/lyrical Combination. So, it is no surprise that his latest musical monstrous creation is so delightfully sinister and moving. Recorded in summer 2021, “Strange Singalongs " might be the ultimate Bleek Noir record to date. A somewhat less angular offering, this collection of songs captures a newly refined version of Bleek Noirs' unmistakable sound. More proudly demonstrating Fox's interest in more traditional songwriting, and classic alternative music sensibilities, "Strange Singalongs" is a departure, presenting a more complete Bleek Noir. The Album opens with a track called Kicking The Cage, with an upbeat tempo, but embracing his unique dark sound, Bleek gives us a song that is both introspective and exposes inner peeks and dives. It is also danceable. A Goth Dance TrackUnheard-of, yes?

Strange Singalongs is a brilliant collection of original songs by Christopher Fox, and is so worth every sinfully dark moment of obsession. This album comes after a recent and a rare Bleek Noir cover of Echo & The Bunnymen's "All My Colours", from their masterful second album "Heaven Up Here".

We then get a taste of an 80’s beat, almost storytelling ballad of…a Love Song? The track All Over, the protagonist opens himself to the whiles of a love that seeks to rearrange him, figurative and literally.

One would think we at IndiePulse have a flair for the Dramatic, possibly, but we love music that is unafraid to encourage the senses, and the work of Bleek Noir does just that, by captivating the images of a Victorian Era horror story and releasing it to an audience that takes that imagery and uses it to define themselves to cope with a world so mad, it makes Edgar Allen Poe’s work look like Nursery Rhymes.

Give It A Name is very Oingo-Bongo/Danny Elfman Inspired. It sounds like a lost track from Nightmare Before Christmas; brilliant, and like a sexy dominatrix, delicious and oh so wonderfully vile and bewitching. Then we find a softer Bleek Ballad, with an opening and score in the style of Spanish guitar. It’s a song that Gomez Adams would sing to his beloved Morticia – Lend Me Your Lips is Just so beautiful to hear.

It’s an unrequited love story, referencing some of the imagery from the movies. It’s about feeling out of step with the world and thinking you’ve found someone who is a good match, but it doesn’t work out.” McCoy worked with video artist Daniel Ouellette to create a gorgeous, trippy animated video designed to put viewers in the Halloween spirit. “He could make a fiddle scream when he picked up his bow or set the strings on fire when he played his banjo,” how fitting of Richard Lynch to utilize the tempo and swing that he did to pay homage to this figure. So, as we continue to explore My Guitar Drips Country, and replaying “Grandpappy” over and over again, trying to pick out the nuances of this style, we eagerly await more from this artist, and feel live performance would be the best way to truly appreciate the larger-than-life sound.

Richard Lynch Delivers “Grandpappy” From Best Country Album Of 2021 Nominated and awarded best Country album of 2021 titled My Guitar Drips Country, Richard Lynch released what would be considered a sleeper track off his latest album.

Released as a single in September 2021, six months after the album release, “Grandpappy” is a clever, witty tribute piece to Richard Lynch’s late grandfather. This is rocking, guitar swinging, up-tempo Country jam. The call and response guitar playing over the melody offers some very unique blues-inspired fills and licks that snap the listeners to attention rapidly. These bluesy, fast licks really have no place on a track of this nostalgic subject matter, yet as a tribute to the man his “Grandpappy” was, the guitar offers the contrast of personality which allows the listener to create imagery of the man he really was. Of course, these superlative guitar licks are the highlight of this track, but the backing band needs the shout-out, as the underlying funk, syncopated with the downbeat play is exquisitely in the pocket with the drummer, allowing Richard to explore these musical phrases with ease, knowing he always has that steady rhythm box to fall back into. Lyrically, Richard is telling the narrative of the man to which he is paying tribute. However, instead of allowing his words to fall unchallenged, he mixes strong metaphor, and vibrant imagery into to his phrases, each one carefully penned to be captivating and to achieve his desired impact.

I'm A New Man by Fred Hostetler Six Time Losers Release First Installment from Upcoming Americana/Folk Record Six Time Losers isn’t just another band. Their sound includes that of Country, Bluegrass, Blues, and old school Rock N’ Roll that displays their uniqueness as a group. The six piece band contains 2 guitars, bass, pedal steel, saxophone, and drums. They’ve had the opportunity to share a stage with Gary Allan, David Allan Coe, American Aquarium, Langhorne Slim, Bill Kirchen, and many more. “What’s Left” is the pre-amp to their upcoming album Only First Names Die, scheduled to release on November 12th. The single replicates their inspiration, the Dave Mathews Band, while managing to create their own eccentric sound that leaves you wanting more.

Living Blues Legend Fred Hostetler has released the first single from his new album Fortuna Redux. On his website, it is said that this will be the third album release by Fred Hostetler since returning in 2018 from 17 years in India. His latest effort is a compilation of his released singles which have been either remixed with additional recording or given a fresh arrangement. The exception is a new original song “Lady Luck Fortuna Redux” which is the title track.

We got the opportunity to hear the new single “I'm A New Man.” This truly all acoustic rendition is hearing Fred in his element, his voice bringing emotional presence and life to the words, while the guitar plays in full splendor, no other instruments, no effects, just Fred and his talent, life in the moment in the purist sense, this song breathes and lives with a spirit of its own.

The black and white music video draws you back in time and displays the bands classic indie vibe. “Six Time Losers” is available on Spotify.

This track and the entire album on Mukthiland Records can be found and bought through his website http://www.fredsheartradio.com, as well as his prior releases.

IndiePulse Album Review: by Joseph Timmons: IndiePulse Music Magazine journalist

The release of Field Trip by the band Cassius King is a monumental point in the Indie Music Scene. The band itself is a veritable who’s-who in the Metal Music world. Cassius King is Dan Lorenzo, Ron Lipnicki, Jimmy Schulman, with Jason McMaster on vocals. Jason McMaster, as you must know, was the power behind the band Dangerous Toys, and Lorenzo, Lipnicki and Schulman are core members of the band Vessel Of Light and former members of the bands Hades, NonFiction and Overkill. All of them Masters of Metal The album Field Trip has just been released on Nomads Eel Records, an Independent Record Label that has gone above and beyond to represent the best independent artists to be found across America. The album opens with a smash in the face, the track King of Lies, has a massive driving beat, guitars flail with angst and fire, the track is ominous and hits hard. Followed by Cleopatra’s Needle, opening with guitar riff that harkens to the sound of early Black Sabbath, it tells the story of The Ripper’s story from an outside perspective. Below The Stones takes you into lore and the secrets taken into eternity. Join The Exodus is a drum grave stomper, the guitars drone in dark rhythm. The bass guitar opens Traveler and then the vocals of McMaster ensnare you into the story with lyrical perfection. 20

Apocalyptic Nations is a pile driver song with a drum beat that is a war march, off to imminent doom. I Move With The Moon, the lyrics tell a tale of Bloodlust, the lyrics seem to tell of the werewolf’s path, and the strings burn with passion.

The next track SIX, is a tale of when the sins of man come to bear witness. Leave Of Absence, a blues style, power-dive track a song of Madness is as Madness does, get the white coats ready, your mind is now jelly to be spread on toast.

Field Trip is as a fantastic album by music’s mega talents, killer riffs, blazing beats and hypnotic vocals, just the best possible blend on both modern and classical rock / metal styles with a healthy helping of DOOM Get Your Copy at https:// www.nomadeelrecords.com

The album ends with This Side Of Forever, this is a living nightmare, a ghost story, the song of the damned to walk in the fires of hell forever, the dead may never die in this devil’s paradise.

DAVID A Lights a Focused Hard Rockin’ Blues Fuse on His Upcoming EP ‘LIT’ Hot on the explosive heels of epic back to back albums – Rockin’ Roulette (2018) and Chameleon Wheelhouse (2020) – that fully embodied his reputation as an “irresponsibly eclectic” rocker, David A’s focus on the hard rockin’ blues side of his artistry while itching to get back to recording during the darkest days of the pandemic is so strong that it inspired an artist‘s moniker change (to David A) and the praise of his new bassist Robert Wegmann who told him he “really reinvented himself” on his perfectly titled upcoming EP, Lit. Even before the first songs for the project began formulating in his head, David was getting the itching feeling it was going to be grittier and rawer than anything he had recorded before. All the pent-up frustration and energy from being locked down for so long inspired him to push his voice harder than ever. The key to bringing this incendiary vision to life was assembling the perfect band. Wegmann played on some previous albums, but this is the singer’s first time working with guitarist George Harris (longtime member of Florida’s famed Greg Billings Band) and veteran Nashville studio drummer Angelo Collura (Thompson Square, Lady A). David is paving the way for the release of the EP and the rollout of his new sound with a two-sided single featuring jamming cuts that reflect this fresh and fiery aesthetic. IndiePulse Music checked out these Molotov Cocktails of verse and we have to say that this is definitely an artist to hear in the times to come.

the philosophical “shot of truth whiskey,” much in the way Jim Morrison did in The Doors, he does for the blues, no held back punches of blows, he lays you out cold. A modern poet for the hard times in which we live. Launching with a brief propulsive drum solo, the unusually named “Balustrade” is an intense, slow burning reflection on feeling the loneliness of distance in a relationship, using the imagery of the song’s title (a vertical molded shaft, square, or lathe-turned form found in stairways on balconies, parapets, etc.) as a symbol of feeling shut out. David’s colorful, powerfully rendered lyrics include lines like “like a homemade bomb/sweatin’ hard lemonade” and “Where’s all the truth? / Someone musta left it in a burning phone booth.” The singer is currently working with a director on what will be a “highly cinematic” video for the song.

The sheer guttural vocal catharsis and raucous band energy of “If I’m So Strange” is a jawdropping wonder to behold, forcing us to ponder just how serious David is when he asks over and over again, “If I’m so strange, baby, why don’t you just string me up?”

The sheer raw power and masterful composition of this track sets a visual image in the listeners mind, images of dark and silent streets doused with fog and the smell of smoke and fire. The slow and hypnotic tempo with eerie guitar stylings makes this a well-rounded trip into Alpha A’s mind. It is dark and mystical. The blues gods are strong here.

Our opinion of this blazing hot track, it is like a trip back into a time in music where the artist did not just “Play Music” or worry about “Top Of The Pops” but weaved a story that placed you in the center of the action, with honest emotion and a satirical and sideways glance of David A’s voice give you

“The songs on Lit sound different from anything I’ve done before, and the vibe is more cohesive,” David says. “I’m eclectic by nature but had started feeling I might be too eclectic for my own good, with fans commenting that my albums often sound like I’m working with two completely different bands. It

was both fun and electrifying working on every track with these guys, and my style is truly wrapped in theirs. Among the reasons I’m calling the EP Lit is the fact that these sessions were flush with good vibes and energy, and singing these songs with all I’ve got gets me pumped. I borrowed the concept from the last line in ‘Light the Rockets’ from Chameleon Wheelhouse about lighting the fuse in my face – and it perfectly applies to what I’m doing now.” “My only inspirations are life and reality,” he adds. “I think of my songs as brief, dramatic bursts of passion expressing those. In an era of music drowning in artificially generated sounds and an overload of needless motor-mouthing, it only makes sense to me to sing and play; real voice and real instruments — raw, clean, honest and driven hard. I think a great rock song is engaging and moving, with intensity, not grandstanding, and that’s what took me back to my oldschool hard rock roots. Belting these songs gives me tremendous cathartic deliverance, and I hope that comes through enough to do the same for listeners.” This album is available on Bandcamp at: https://davidalpha.bandcamp.com
