Over
a
decade
ago
President
&
CEO
Chris
Peters
started
the
radio
show
“Native
Pulse”
at
 KHSU
90.5
on
the
Humboldt
State
University
campus
in
Arcata,
CA.
Now
years
later,
the
radio
 show
has
transferred
to
a
studio
in
the
SGF
Media
Department
and
transformed
into
a
multi‐ media
approach
featuring
news
and
current
 events
of
Seventh
Generation
Fund’s
work,
 it’s
Projects
and
AfQiliates.
It
now
includes
a
 variety
of
media
forms
such
as
publications,
 short
video
messages
and
radio
spots.
 Seventh
Generation
Fund’s
Media
 Department
has
been
actively
producing
 video’s,
radio
spots
and
leading
media
 training's
in
many
Indigenous
communities.
 The
most
recent
video,
produced
under
 contract,
was
with
the
Cheyenne
River
 Youth
Project
of
the
Cheyenne
River
Tribe
 in
Montana.
“The
SGF
Media
Department
 has
produced
a
good
amount
of
positive
 media
on
some
tough
issues
in
Indian
 Country,
challenging
issues
like
domestic
 violence
and
diabetes
prevention.
Next
month,
we
are
starting
a
meth
awareness
media
 campaign
video
production
with
the
Cheyenne
River
Lakota
Tribe,”
said

Hollis,
after
traveling
to
the
Cheyenne
River
Indian
 Reservation
for
a
week
of
Qilming
and
dialogue.

Generation
Fund
for
Indian
Development

and
the

youth,

tribal
philosophers,

Generation
Fund
is
the
 Qirst
Indigenous
Peoples’
 initiated
and
led
public
 foundation.
As
an
intermediary
 international
non‐proQit
 organization
we
are
uniquely
 situated
to
serve
Native
 community
initiatives
and
as
a
 bridge
and
translator
between
 the
Indigenous
World,
the
public
 sector,
and
philanthropy.
