Admission Procedure Academic Year 2016 - 17 Eligibility A candidate is declared eligible for PGDM Courses, if he/she has passed the degree examination of a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks and minimum 45% marks for backward caste from any state in India. Such candidate's application must be accompanied with relevant caste certificates and non-creamy layer certificates at the time of confirming the admission. Absence of such certificates at the time of submitting the Admission application forms for admission to the course disqualifies them from reserved category seats, and such candidates will be considered for open/general category. Final year degree students, who have not received their result will be allowed to appear for the admission process, provided at the time of taking admission they have a certificate from their college/university about being a final year student awaiting result. Before applying for admission process registration, candidates must have a valid written test score of any of the following tests: AICTECMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to ISBS/IIMP PGDM courses based on: Indira Common Admission Process (ICAP) - 2016 Admission to ISBS/IIMP PGDM will be based on performance of candidates in following categories of ICAP:

Once selected, the candidate is required to pay the fees on or before the prescribed date and confirm their admission to the respective Institution; otherwise the next student in the waiting list would be offered admission. At the time of admission, all supporting and relevant documents / certificates as stated in the application must be submitted to the Institute. Process for ICAP – 2016 Stage 1: Registration for ICAP Candidates will fill up the ICAP online registration form for GD, PI and Counseling, available on www.icap.indiraedu.com Online registration will begin on 16 November, 2015 and it will close on 5th April 2016 for the candidates appearing in out of Pune locations and 12 April 2016 for the candidates appearing in Pune location. Stage 2: GD, PI & Counseling Process Candidates will be required to be present in their choice of the city for ICAP process of GD, PI and Counseling. The GD, PI and Counseling will be held in the following cities on the dates mentioned : 9th April 2016 Surat, Bhopal & Ranchi. 10th April 2016. Nagpur, Raipur, Indore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad. Eligibility for admission to PGDM also requires valid score obtained from any of the all India level examination, such as: AICTE - CMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ ATMA Candidates who appear for ICAP without a valid national level test score will be considered provisionally and put on waiting list till such time they are in a position to show a valid test score for confirmation of admission. A candidate whose result of the final year of degree course is not declared at the time of registration will be considered for application provisionally till such time the result is declared and the admission will be confirmed only after the fulfillment of 50% or 45% criteria whichever is applicable. Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) The PGDM course is approved by AICTE. This course is a two years full time program comprising of four semesters. The flexibility afforded to the PGDM program keeps the students abreast of the trends in the field of business and assures greater articulation of the same. PGDM is two years full time Program comprising of four semesters. Student from any stream of graduation can pursue PGDM Program. Specialization offered in PGDM Program - is Marketing, Finance & Human Resource. This coupled with a wide choice of electives provide flexibility in course selection and prepares students for placement in their choice of Industry Sector. Aided by modern communication and information technology, PGDM at ISBS has a high operational efficiency and effectiveness. The assessment for PGDM Program is Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) and its assessment is captured through Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA). Students from various academic backgrounds are eligible for admission to this course. Hence, in the first semester of the program students are exposed to the various fundamental concepts of Management. Along with the various fundamental concepts of management the student is also given exposure in the areas of Accounting, Statistics and Quantitative Techniques, Business Law, Communication Skills, Economic Environment of Business. Additionally, the skill based subjects such as Personality Lab, Language Leadership Lab., IT Lab, to name a few, help to enhance students' managerial skills.
Specialization starts in the second semester where the student learns about the functional area of their choice in detail. At the end of the first year, the students are required to undertake project work assignment in an organization. The project assignment is intended to give the students an opportunity to sharpen their knowledge and skills in their selected Industry Sectors of Business and also serves as a stepping stone for their final career. The Project Work Assignment is of 60 days duration and a detailed project report of dissertation is submitted for full grade evaluation at the start of the second year. The course outline for PGDM follows a choice based credit system. Essentials in management are delivered through core courses. Electives in specialization core courses offer the student an opportunity to choose inputs to design their career by focusing on higher end inputs from the sector or functional combination. The course design provides students an opportunity to gradually build competencies in verticals such as Sales; Consultancy; Projects; Analytics or Market Research, by choosing the connected subjects and they also get an opportunity to select cross functional electives. Continuous Evaluation of students forms an integral part of the curriculum. Forty percent of the evaluation is done on a continuous basis and sixty percent is devoted to semester end assessment.
