FROM THE EDITOR'S DESK

This newsletter issue is dedicated to sports. It takes a team of coaches, teachers, administrators, counselors, support staff and parents to help mould and mentor all students. The connections and bridges built between the classroom and the field of play help mould and modify the student’s outlook towards life. Playing outside and enjoying sports and games is one of the great thrills that any student looks forward to. Spending time outside doesn’t just make our kids stronger and healthier, it teaches important values of hard work, leadership and working together to reach common goals. Most won’t grow up to be professional athletes, but the positive lessons learned while on a ball field or in friends’ backyards will stay with our young athletes well into their adult lives. The children of our school participated in various games and sports related events as a part of the Inter House Sports Competition held in the month of February. I must say it was a pleasure to see the enthusiasm and fervour each and every child had for the games. Not only did they participate, they made everyone proud of their accomplishments. INS also had the Annual Concert in the month of December where children of Std. I to V got to showcase their acting, dancing and other skills in Fine Arts. The kids of Std. VI to VIII organized the Fun Fair, wherein they arranged games, put up food stalls of different delicacies and enticed the taste buds of the entire school. Amidst all the joyous events, we sadly bid farewell to the second batch of INS. The students of Class IX geared up for the event and ensured that each and every student of Class X was made to feel special. We are grateful to Chetan Sir who honored us with his gracious presence and shared his experiences with the children. I, on behalf of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, take this opportunity to wish the students of Class X “ALL THE BEST” for their future endeavours. The Republic Day was celebrated with great fanfare. Our Chairperson, Tarita M’am graced the function and hoisted the flag. She inspired all the children and staff present with her very motivational words. National Science Day was celebrated on 28th February and the children of Class VI to IX exhibited some simple science based experiments and the children of Std. IV and V were taken for a tour of the same. We have completed another eventful and successful year and have stepped in to the next academic year. I would like to thank all the parents and children for contributing to the newsletter. All the teachers and admin staff also deserve to be thanked for their unconditional help. Last, but not the least, I would like to thank Joshi M’am and Geeta M’am for their continuous support and encouragement. So readers, sit back, relax and bask in the glory of your child’s achievements and feats. Mrs. Gayatri Raut
