Welcome

Welcome to the 2018 Indoff National Sales Meeting and Vendor Expo – our 27th consecutive year of hosting this event! We look forward to this gathering and the opportunity to learn, to share and to reconnect with friends both old and new. Much about this weekend will be very familiar – faces, agendas, discussions, even some laughter. We are blessed to have so many long-time Partners, Vendor Partners and Corporate Staff – it provides a foundation for all we do. It is a tremendous advantage to work with quality people who care about what they are doing and have been doing it with us for years and years. If you are one of our many veterans, please take the time to introduce yourself to the “first timer” Partners – you’ll know them by the pin on their name badge. It’s never easy to be the new kid (although we don’t have a lot of shy folks), so go ahead and make that new connection and help draw the newbie into the group. The greatest benefits from this event come from everyone’s participation – ask your questions, share your stories, join a discussion, attend the seminars. Your next great idea may come from a chat over appetizers, or it could come from visiting that booth which doesn’t look too inviting at first glance. It is only through your active involvement in this weekend that we all maximize the value of our time together. This meeting is a lot of work – by Corporate Staff, by our Vendors, by the presenters. We do the work because we believe the return is worth it – this weekend, more than anything else we do all year, helps bind us together. It reminds us all of who we’re working with, and it energizes us by showcasing the incredible talent we are privileged to interact with daily. Seek out the people you deal with every day – the Partner who helps you out on the list server, the credit clerk who always tries to expedite your request, the Vendor rep who bails you out when you need help. Reconnect and strengthen the bonds that unite us. Finally – participate! You will get out of the weekend what you put into it – join in! Your experiences and knowledge are unique and valuable – share them. Attend the classes, go to the Vendor show, mingle over cocktails – your stories and experiences matter. Thank you for being here this weekend – if a show is held without attendees, did the show really happen? If there is anything we can do to make your weekend better, please ask. I look forward to spending time with each of you, and I thank you for all you do for Indoff throughout the year!

Pro-Line and Indoff a winning combination. .

2018 NSM Theme Switch it up!?! What’s up with that as a theme? Indoff is enjoying a record year on the heels of a record year – why make changes? Tempting as it may be to sit back, relax and milk the good times, the reality is that the world continues to change, and if we don’t change with it, the good times will end. One of our great advantages is our diversity – of personnel, of products, of markets. This weekend is designed to help you add to your sales and marketing tool kit: • Add a product to your arsenal – really take your time going through the Vendor show and find a new product to add to your mix. We’ll have over 100 booths – there must be something there your customers could really use. • Make a friend with an Indoff Partner from another division. Your Material Handling customers could surely use furniture or promotional products or office supplies – introduce them to a fellow Indoff Partner. Your customers know and trust you; deepen your relationship through an introduction to another Indoff Partner. • BUSINESS PRODUCTS PARTNERS – you really need to diversify. Look at lighting, furniture or promo – make a friend with an Indoff Partner from another division. Yes, office supplies are declining, but you have a tremendously loyal customer base – start helping them in areas other than basic supplies. This weekend is your golden opportunity! • The Internet isn’t going away; you need to up your game and your marketing efforts. If you are not participating in our e-marketing programs, please make the time to speak with Elizabeth or Morgan this weekend about getting started. Customers want to know what you can do for them; this is one more way to let them know. • Guaranteed growth markets – aging and health care! Figure out your entrance into these markets; talk with Partners who have succeeded. Retirement and health care facilities use shelving, lockers, appliances, furnishings – their owners use supplies and promotional materials. Target these prospects in your area and go and make yourself useful to them. Let me repeat – we’re enjoying a record year on top of our record year in 2017 – life is good! The economy will slow, and your customers will change. We all need to be doing the same, so go ahead, Switch It Up a little bit – you may be surprised at the results!

Working a Trade Show One of the highlights of our meeting is the Vendor Show. We have over 100 Vendor Partners participating in our multi-divisional show, affording our Sales Partners an unparalleled opportunity to network with those folks who allow us to service our customers. Our Vendors display here at considerable expense to themselves – the cost of the show, transportation, lodging, displays and time away from their other duties and opportunities. Please attend their seminars, visit their booths and thank them with your attention and business. Review the enclosed floor plan and list of vendors included in this guide. Please take the time to plan your day. Don’t only visit with those Vendors whom you have dealt with in the past; visit with those whose products might help you to extend your reach into your accounts with new products and solutions. Also visit with vendors from other divisions if you are interested in expanding your product offering. Pace yourself. Our Vendors have committed to the entire show time frame; please reciprocate by doing the same. We are only as good as our suppliers. Take the time to strengthen your relationships with these important Vendor Partners, and let them know you appreciate their participation this weekend and support throughout the year. Have fun and take advantage of this opportunity to meet with people who supply us with the products and solutions we need to take care of our customers.

Etiquette

We look forward to this weekend, and we have great fun. This is a wonderful gathering for sharing stories, knowledge and ideas, and it can be easy to get carried away. Here are a few simple reminders for the weekend: • Our vendors are here at considerable expense. Please spend time with them to enhance your own knowledge of their products and services to better serve your customers. Please respect their investment by only attending functions with Vendors with whom you will do business. • Please plan your Friday afternoon to stay for the entire Vendor Show. Challenge yourself to add 3 new products or services; spend time with those manufacturers on Friday afternoon. Switch it Up! • In presentations, be respectful of speakers. Hold questions until the appropriate time, and don’t hijack the presentation – let the speaker have his or her say. • Remember that we represent Indoff at all times this weekend. Be professional, respectful of others and try to leave a positive impression on everyone we come in contact with this weekend. Remember – enjoy your Sales Meeting responsibly!!!

Thank You for the Referrals! Thanks to all of our Indoff Partners and Vendors for attending the 2018 National Sales meeting! As most of you know, we devote significant effort to hiring new Sales Partners, and it is these new Partners who keep Indoff a strong and vibrant Company.

Referrals from Partners and Vendors are the future of Indoff. Year after year, your referrals are our #1 hiring source. In the last 2 years we have hired 89 Sales Partners and 54 were from Partner and Vendor referrals. Our most successful new Partners are often near veteran Partners - multiple Partners in an area help establish the Indoff brand. If you know of a talented and professional sales rep in your market, it helps your own cause if they become an Indoff Partner. For Indoff Partners, keep in mind if your competitor joins Indoff, your accounts are protected! For our Vendors, referring an Indoff Partner builds your overall business with Indoff and in your territory specifically. If you are thinking about retirement, don’t forget our Mentor Programs which are designed to facilitate this transfer! We love to maintain a retiring Partner’s book of business, and the Mentor Program helps do this while compensating the Partner for the business built up over a career - email Angela.Suntrup@Indoff.com for more information. Thank you again for your help in the past, and if you have any questions this weekend about our recruiting efforts or programs, please just speak with one of us. - 28 -

BRINGING WORK HOME #PAILOBYSENATOR

Thank You

We’ve been holding these gatherings since 1992, and it is amazing and awe-inspiring to see the collection of talented individuals that attend this year after year after year. It is a joy and a blessing to work with so many dedicated professionals; it takes everyone’s participation and contributions to make Indoff the special company that it is. This meeting is a major undertaking, and it is the culmination of several months of hard work. Many, many, many people contribute to its success, but I do want to acknowledge a few in particular: • • • • • • • • •

Robin Migdal – after 30 years of working together, I have learned many lessons from Robin. This weekend is possible only due to her dedication and attention to detail; the rest of us just follow her lead. Adam Heck – Adam has taken on much of the responsibility for this weekend. He handles everything related to the Vendors’ participation, and he works with Robin on most aspects of the meeting. We are fortunate to have Adam’s talents contributing to this event. Morgan Powers – our marketing coordinator has learned much about our Company in her year with us; the signs, banners, show guide and anything visual are thanks to her efforts. Vendors – yes, we have countless Partners who have been with us for many years, but we are also blessed with many Vendors who have been supporting our Partners and customers for 20 or more years now as well. The gift of their time this weekend helps to make it special for all of us. Focus Groups – our meeting is for our Partners, and it is our Focus Groups that help keep us on point and making the small changes that hopefully make each meeting better than the last. Vendor selection, class schedules, general structure – they help keep all aspects properly focused on our Partners. The IT Group – gone are the days of the overhead projectors and manual slides; everything we do is technology based or dependent. This weekend, Shawn, Colin, Courtney and David will be running around keeping things running; year-round, they do the same for all of our systems so we can do our jobs. Julie Frank, Pam Hake, Cherrie Bledsoe, Maureen Maxwell and Angela Suntrup – guides, greeters, helping out where they can – their presence and enthusiasm keep us on point and on time this weekend. Our Sales Partners – without you, we have no meeting. Your efforts all year long drive our Company forward, and your presence here this weekend represents your ongoing investment in yourselves to improve and adapt to the changing economy. Thank you for all you do for Indoff throughout the year! John Ross and John Temple -since 1991, they have trusted us to faithfully execute their vision of the Partner program. Their foresight, their patience and their tutelage has gifted us with a glorious opportunity to succeed.

No listing is complete, so thank you to everyone who contributes to this weekend – our presenters, the corporate staff who helped with preparations, and our attendees. It takes all of us to make the Indoff model work, and that is true with the National Sales Meeting also. Thank you all for all you do for Indoff, this weekend and throughout the year!
