Bullitt County Judicial Center
Problem: The administrative office of the Circuit Court of Bullitt County, Kentucky was building a new courthouse and required a storage system to house items including file folders, binders, books, archival box storage, VHS tapes, and general office supplies.
Objective: Indoff Partner Mike Siegel has designed and installed more than 75 mobile storage and filing systems in various locations throughout Kentucky. Although the system was being installed in a new building, the design had to take into account space utilization to accommodate future expansion. Mike Siegel conducted an onsite survey and developed a design solution that went through several iterations before being finalized. His system layout for the Aurora Mobile high density system was then ‘dropped’ into the master architectural AutoCAD plans and presented to the architect and owner who were impressed with the work he had done.
Solution: Actual installation was conducted in two phases. First the track, deck, and ramps were installed early in the project to accommodate fitting the floor covering. When that phase was finished and more of the construction work completed, the carriages and shelving were installed to complete the system.
Benefits: The mobile storage system designed for the Bullitt County Circuit Clerk increased storage by 50% and allowed for future growth. Their new system was designed with selective security to keep confidential those files pertaining to juvenile cases, adoption records, and HIPAA-regulated mental health files. The unique modular system can accommodate addition of more carriages and shelving if the court chooses to expand at a later date. The staff of Bullitt County Judicial Center is pleased with their new Aurora Mobile System which works very well for their diverse storage needs.
