INTERPRETATION OF DREAMS: INDUSTREAL CERAMICS “Everyone is inspired in a different way, but mostly by life and survival,” concur Industreal’s chairmen, Costanza Calvetti, Maurizio Meroni and George Sowden. These design legends developed a collective to ensure innovative ceramic artists will survive. Partnering with Italy’s ONEOFF and SowdenDesign and borrowing prose from Milanese philosophy Guiliano Corti, who declares “…all things, before becoming everyday objects live in a dream called the project,” Industreal’s 2006 exhibition at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano “Dream” called for 60 ceramic artists to consider the vortex of sound, light and objects that inspired their wares. Less interested in consumption than the process of production, Industreal is, in the words of its founders, “courageously exciting.” Industreal.it MAY 2007

Όλα ξεκινούν το 2004 στo Salone Internazionale del Mobile στο Μιλάνο, όπου η Industreal συμμετέχει με τον επαναστατικό τίτλο «In Dust We Trust», με 30 τολμηρούς designers να κάνουν δυναμική εμφάνιση. Το 2005 οι 30 γίνονται 60 και η έκθεση «Model Ideas» καθιστά το αρχικό εγχείρημα ως δεδομένο. Το 2006, μετά την έκθεση «Dream», η προσωπική συλλογή της Industreal είναι πια γεγονός, με κεραμικές, ξύλινες, γυάλινες και μεταλλικές δημιουργίες. Η Industreal το 2007 προκαλεί παλιά και νέα μέλη να πάρουν «ψαλίδι» και να κόψουν, να χαράξουν, αλλά και να ζωγραφίσουν πάνω σε οποιαδήποτε επιφάνεια. Και έτσι απλά παίρνει μορφή η έκθεση «First Cut».Η βασική αρχή της Industreal είναι η ολοκληρωτική απελευθέρωση από κάθε άγχος της βιομηχανικής, μαζικής κατασκευής και η ανάδειξη της προσωπικής ματιάς του σχεδιαστή.
