Quizzing shift to plantations Industry forum asks: is it viable?

THE viability of a transition to forest plantations will be questioned by industry and political leaders at a landmark forum in Tasmania on December 1. The forum, motivated by a ‘peace deal’ between industry, unions and environmentalists that could see a cessation of native forest logging in the state and an expansion of plantations, will bring together national and international speakers with backgrounds in science, industry, communities
