Introduction MDS wines are the result of a hard and permanent work in a familiar farm that counts already with centuries of history.
This farm, called Monte de Salicos, is located between Lagoa and Carvoeiro beach and forms a sublime landscape where the vinyard grows punctuated by typical algarvian trees and by their vernacular houses. The solo with limestone and clay and the influence of the sea breeze allow the existence of ideal terroir for the development of the grapes Aragonez, Touriga Nacional, Verdelho, Syrah, Cabernet Souvignon, Souvignon Blanc, Moscatel Galego and Pinot Gris. With an extension of approximately 8 hectares, it is from Monte de Salicos’ vinyards that it is possible to obtain the excellent wines in which we can feel the dedication to the vinyard, the taste of the tradition and the passion for the wine in every drag.
Our wines Made with a selection of the best grapes in the Monte de Salicos each year, we try to improve our wines and our offer so it will suit different kinds of taste.
Our range of main wines include two different red wines, two different white wines and one rosĂŠ. The wines may suffer slight changes every year depending on the particular conditions of the weather each year, that influence the terroir. Although, we try to maintain the particular characteristics of each wine making them special.
