Carlos Monroe, Jr. was born July 22, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois. When he was 3 years old, Carlos moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Even at such a young age, he felt the passion to compete. By age 5, he was ranked as the #5 blue belt in the state of Georgia. Carlos began training to become a boxer at 10 years old, working with Al Brown, Terry Moss and elite trainer, Xavier Biggs. Xavier Biggs is the brother of Olympian Boxier Tyrell Biggs. Carlos went on to Win 9 Golden Gloves Championships in Georgia, along with many other accolades. Carlos Monroe moved to Florida and began working with professional trainers, Jun Morales and Jason Garloza, where he won Florida Golden Gloves championships two times in a row.
