James Feilders is a person who has worked a multitude of jobs, a handy 'Jack of all Trades' and has now found enjoyment in his store on the Lancaster Military Road (Main Street). He was born and raised in NDG, Montreal and worked as an engraver in the 70's and taught himself computer languages in the 80's then worked on a team as a software designer in a dot.com industry. He retired from everything in 2000 and moved from the busy city life to the quiet life of Apple Hill. When James saw this building on Main Street Lancaster, he fell in love with it, bought it. Then he spent a year working on it.

He opened the store in 2003 as a gift and home decor store. It was a busy little place with many locals and summer campers coming in to pick up things. Sue is one who came in often and by January of 2008 a partnership was formed. James admired her quick wit and her ideas for the store.
