A fresh and inventive take on the world of Batman, Gotham tells the story of Commissioner Gordon and his rise to prominence in the years before Batman’s arrival. TV / Boxsets and Individual Episodes

Fargo Season 1

The Walking Dead Season 5

Mad Men Season 7

The announcement of Fargo, the series, caused consternation – why besmirch the legacy of a much-loved Coen brothers classic? However, this new TV incarnation give us something closer to the reigning spirit of today’s TV drama – violence, nihilism, and a whole lot of antiheroic W. Sit back and marvel at the wellwrought drama of each episode.

That The Walking Dead even managed to stumble to a fifth season is a testament to the show’s quality. Since the very first episode, a sort of zombie apocalypse has been taking place behind the scenes. Cast and crew infighting, budget problems and a revolving door of showrunners led to several near-cancellations – still the show remains, acclaim piling up faster than the bodies of the undead.

It’s been the show’s guiding tension since the very first episode – when will the 1960s hit? And not just the rock music, drugs and tiedyes, the familiar countercultural representations of that era; the 1960s was also the beginning of today’s corporate advertising culture and its discontents. In Season 7, it finally arrives – sit back and watch the future of Mad Men unravel.

TV Episodes It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia first hit our screens in 2005, and has become a cultural phenomenon, now on its 10th season. The series follows four (slightly arrogant) friends who manage an Irish bar. Two episodes are on board for your enjoyment. For something a little more factual, tune into Beer Geeks, hosted by master brewer, Michael Ferguson, or Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which investigates how we discovered the laws of nature. Sports fans shouldn’t miss Sporting Rivalries, which recounts the rivalry between the South African and New Zealand rugby teams, or The Fast Lane, which provides an entertaining insight into the glamorous life behind the F1 circuit. And finally, for drama lovers, two episodes of Game of Thrones are available, alongside a brand new episode of Gotham.
