The Impossible Dream

What if every day was seen as a challenge to live a better life? What if every single morning when the sun rises, a fire ignites and steadily blazes from within, carrying until the day fizzles to an exhausted, satisfying end? What would happen if fear never once had a grip on the heart or the mind of someone fighting to be better, to be stronger, to accomplish something?

There is a widespread notion life and greatness simply happen to people, if we just wake up and coast through the hours wonderful things will magically happen and the huge lives we imagine for ourselves will somehow fall into place. Some people seem to believe they can just sit around and wait and the world will be delivered to them on their doorstep.

There also exists a wildly untrue and unfortunately popular belief everything people face just happens to them and there is nothing they can do about it, or they somehow aren’t good enough to overcome it. That is NOT how life works, and it IS NEVER going to be unless people actively choose to make it that way.

The people who want to accomplish things, who have goals and dreams and ideas, the ones who ACTUALLY change the world are the ones who wake up with a fire in their belly and the decision to actually do something about it. People waste their lives dreaming of the day things will be different, when they need to walk outside and fearlessly chase down and tackle their desires. Everything desire worthy of being obtained requires diligent effort. Be it relationships, fitness, a job, a dream, art, overcoming a problem, facing a challenge, or rising above in a competition. No one accomplishes anything worthwhile by simply going through the motions. Incredible things come when they are fought for, no matter how many attempts it takes to reach them or how impossible that reach may appear.

If each and every day, people chose to wake up and fight for whatever makes their heart beat faster and sends blood rushing through their veins, the world would be an unbelievable place full of truly remarkable people. That is the kind of fight that spurs radical change. That is the kind of passion that drastically moves hearts and souls. It isn’t afraid, insecure, or doubtful; it is confident, it is powerful, it is determined, and it is undeniable. There is no expectation that cannot be risen above. There is no limitation to the level of greatness which can be achieved in anything. There is always more, there is always better, there is always stronger, and even the most impossible dreams can be made reality when they are fought for and believed above everything else.
