Transglobal Airline Company - Brand Identity
Sketching process
01. The concept The excellent international airline, born from the merger of several companies. The new communication must not take into account neither the previous brands nor the nationality, aiming more than anything else to the perception of internationality. I started the work initially with a deep research of brand metaphors and attributes to apply, which I came up with a good metaphor which synthesizes visually the structure of a plane (the Airplane Body and his Tail) and an attribute of union, between the words “trans” and “global” (period of transition moving to international), the union it‘s because the company born from the merger of several companies, represented with a typographic ligature between the G and S.

01. Logo Construction
The Transglobal logotype has a grid construction extracted from the kerning of the typeface. The logo is built to be dynamic into his whole identity to be able to work internationally with every city and continue to be recognized without reading the company‘s name. 01. Poppins‘s story Geometric sans serif typefaces have been a popular design tool ever since these actors took to the world’s stage. Poppins is one of the new comers to this long tradition. With support for the Devanagari and Latin writing systems, it is an internationalist take on the genre. Many of the Latin glyphs (such as the ampersand) are more constructed and rationalist than is typical. The Devanagari design is particularly new, and is the first ever Devanagari typeface with a range of weights in this genre. Just like the Latin, the Devanagari is based on pure geometry, particularly circles. Each letterform is nearly monolinear, with optical corrections applied to stroke joints where necessary to maintain an even typographic color. The Devanagari base character height and the Latin ascender height are equal; Latin capital letters are shorter than the Devanagari characters, and the Latin x-height is set rather high.

01. Roboto‘s story Roboto has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves. While some grotesks distort their letterforms to force a rigid rhythm, Roboto doesn’t compromise, allowing letters to be settled into their natural width. This makes for a more natural reading rhythm more commonly found in humanist and serif types. This is the regular family, which can be used alongside the Roboto Condensed family and the Roboto Slab family.
