“It feels like you have a stage, you have the attention, but you don’t have the fnal say. You don’t have the ultimate power, fnancially or otherwise, to make the changes that need to be made in every case. And so that’s why we’re here. That’s why I came from New York through a busy schedule to be on the stage, because when you are given the platform, you want to be able to talk about these things. You want to be able to make people more aware and you want to be able to make a diference. Yes. So visibility is huge. And this is this is a part of changing that narrative is us being here is happening right now.”

“People with disabilities need to be involved in every step of the process, every step. And that really does include from the beginning and utilizing focus groups and having voices heard by the population.”
