INFORMAL URBAN PRACTICE
1. articulate your aspirations for the studio and propose a means for self-assessment
Student name: Emi Hinago s3130689
What do you aspire to learn through the studio? Clearly propose the most important 6 or more aspects of learning and achievement (in few words) that you aspire to measure your work against.
What is likely to indicate different levels of your performance and achievement against each criteria? Describe in detail the indicators (evidence) of quality at the level of performance that you aspire to achieve. In less detail, describe what will indicate if you have achieved above or below your aspired level.

What indicates the current levels of your performance and achievement in the studio against each criteria? Describe in detail the indicators (evidence) of quality at the level of performance you honestly believe you have achieved so far. In less detail, describe what would indicate if you had achieved above or below your proposed level. ‘SATISFACTORY’ ‘GOOD’ ‘VERY GOOD’ ‘OUTSTANDING’ PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCE PERFORMANCE INDICATORS INDICATORS INDICATORS INDICATORS I have developed clear vision of what I am trying to learn and observe from product design students and the brief of informal urban practice. To achieve better comprehension of IUP, I need to explore the fundamental aspects of interaction design in public. I believe my group have accurately presented most sources of documentation, video, graphics to support the credibility and authority of our opinions. To improve, I personally need to develop my verbal presentation skills. Learning tactics of positive participation and interaction design is my goal in this studio. I believe that I generated this idea to my trading market project, using a creative method of passing a soft message of less consumption. During our dockland project, using colour memory, and Modular colour seating, we tested various locations, duration, and problem shots why our project did not
appeal and discovered through improvisation how to make it work. Received team member ideas quickly and develop tactics to facilitate problem shooting. 5
Developed and achieved proposed design concepts and scenarios through Informal urban practice.
6
Applied and generated technical component skills from workshops.
CRITERIA RELEVANT UP TO MID SEMESTER ONLY
1 2
List criteria (if any) that you believe only relates to your work up to mid-semester. Developed and achieved proposed design concepts and scenarios through Informal urban practice.
I believe my experience and exploration during my small projects has helped me in Development of my project concept. I have attend all workshops, but have not able to use laser cut machine (I have had trouble with the fingerprint reader not recognising me and have not been able to go back and re-register) To achieve a higher performance, I need to practice using rhino, and the laser cut machine, and explore fabrication techniques.
