In March we commemorate Freedom day and before you know it we're celebrating Easter. It's no coincidence that in both instances we are acknowledging the great sacrifice paid for Freedom. Sacrifice is a daily act of love and freedom is the sweet reward of unselfish living. What does sacrifice really mean and what should it cost us? The fact that "cost" and "money" often go hand in hand creates a stumbling block in our sacrifice. The true cost of sacrifice is time, it's me before you, it's love and kindness in motion and it's an intentional pathway embedded in our minds. The deliberate choice to allow someone ahead of you, turn a deaf ear to the noise that pollutes our thoughts and the ability to control our response; are practical ways or small acts of sacrifice. This I believe is the progressive journey that leads us to live a life liberated from the status quo. Our freedom is a choice, decide on the outcome you want and remember to always make a difference.

FREEDOM DAY Freedom Day on 27 April is a celebration of South Africa's first non-racial democratic elections of 1994. It’s significance marks the end of over three hundred years of colonialism, segregation and white minority rule and the establishment of a new democratic government led by Nelson Mandela and a new state subject to a new constitution.
