A NOTE FROM TAMRYN This will be our last newsletter to you this year and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude. We are grateful to the Lord for using each one of our crusades to usher thousands into His Kingdom. We are grateful to you for making these crusades possible through your fervent prayers and generous giving. Yes indeed, Africa is being washed in the precious blood of the Lamb! This issue includes a full report on our final crusade for the year: Arba Minch, Ethiopia (7 - 10 Dec). Thereafter, we remember the four crusades that came before this one. On the back page, the revised and expanded version of my book, Spirit of Fire is promoted. Yours in His service, EV. TAMRYN KLINTWORTH and the In His Name Team

ARBA MINCH ON FIRE FOR JESUS Arba Minch lies just over 400km south of Addis Ababa, right up against the massive lakes of Abaya and Chamo. While the natural scenery is stunning, the spiritual atmosphere is intense with opposition. We faced many challenges in the planning of this crusade and the spiritual battle was fierce. Nonetheless, we prevailed – and the results were spectacular! Our crowd grew service after service until the venue swelled with 40,000 on the Sunday night. In a town of only 100,000 inhabitants – many being students at the university – such attendance is stunning. Throughout the crusade week, our ushers laboured to collect the details of those who received Jesus as Lord. Follow-up material was distributed and the pastors are now hard at work pulling these fledgling believers into the local churches. A fantastic total of 20,346 precious people called upon His name and received material. The pastors are thrilled. Throughout our time in their town, they kept thanking us for preaching the pure Gospel, voicing how so many coming to Arba Minch have preached a twisted, corrupted version. “You have shown us how the Gospel should be preached,” they say. On the final night, one whispered in my ear: “Pray for me, I am going to preach this Gospel!” Such compels us. We need to push harder and harder, declaring the truth until all Africa knows our Saviour King! From the first service to the last, we witnessed fantastic miracles. A young man, Behalu was born deaf and dumb, communicating only through sign language. On the Thursday night, his ears opened and his tongue was loosed. Overwhelmed, he trembled on stage, eyes brimming with tears, utterly emotional. One of his classmates joined him and they gesticulated wildly, soon bouncing up and down together in joyous celebration.

Thousands gather on a dusty field in Arba Minch.

Multitudes call upon the name of the Lord.

Alemitra bending and stretching on stage, glorifying God for healing her.

Volunteers dressed in “Ethiopia for Jesus” t-shirts collect the details of new converts.

When he began responding to words spoken behind him, repeating what was said, the crowd exploded with exuberance. What a mighty God we serve! Alemitra (28 years old) had been fighting kidney disease for the past three years. She was in constant pain. Traveling for long distances was torture. During prayer, she felt fire running through her body followed by the disappearance of all pain. “Suddenly the pain was gone. I just could not find it,” she expressed. Bending and stretching on stage, she glowed with joy, glorifying God. Asrat (35 years old) is a builder. He had severely injured his left arm and hand in a work accident some years ago. The discomfort was neverending and he could not move the shoulder nor flex the hand. He struggled to sleep. He could not work. Now, all that has changed. Testifying on stage, Asrat swung that arm like a windmill, opening and clenching his fist, eagerly showing off what the Lord has done. Breaking into a dance, he celebrated, the crowd equally ecstatic. Etagegu (29 years old) had partial blindness in one eye and excruciating pain in her legs and back. She described with glee how during prayer, she felt all pain leaving her body in a wave of Holy Spirit power and the thrilling sensation of sight returning to that one eye. Mother of two, Meseret, had

been battling a dangerous strain of malaria. “It was attacking my mind,” she explained. “I felt like I was going crazy.” The Lord healed her completely. She stood before us perfectly sound with no fever or signs of ill health at all. Ato, a 60-year-old businessman had been struggling with serious back pain for years. No doctor could help him. Frustrated, he attended our crusade on Thursday night declaring to the Lord that if He was indeed God, He could heal him. Heal him our Jesus did!

Ev. Tamryn shares the Gospel at a combined service held by all the churches involved.

Every vantage point is used, including an obliging tree!

On the Sunday morning, a combined service was held with all the churches who worked with us for this crusade. Such is something unique to Ethiopia and we have never seen it done in any other African country. The unity among believers is glorious. Ev. Tamryn ministered to a sea of umbrellas and the lost were saved and captives set free. On the Sunday evening, the baptism of the Holy Spirit was prayed for after Ev. Tamryn preached a final message on this glorious gift. Magnificent, holy chaos broke out. The Spirit fell upon the tens of thousands gathered and they received Him with desperate hunger. An army of eager soulwinners has been born. Arba Minch – and Ethiopia – shall never be the same!

LOOKING BACK AT 2017 It is always important at the end of each year to look back and consider what our Lord has done. Through your prayers, your giving and the hard work of our team, He has produced five red-hot, hell-emptying Gospel Crusades. Hallelujah! First, DILLA, Ethiopia. This was our first crusade in Ethiopia and we encountered a desperation for the Gospel that we had never seen before. The churches we laboured with begged us to host a combined service on the crusade field on the Sunday morning. We did just that and witnessed congregations worshipping together in exquisite unity. How thrilling! MNINGISINI followed, a remote village in rural South Africa. We will never forget one precious lady who was touched so mightily by the Holy Spirit that she lost her shoe. “Whenever I heard people praying in tongues,” she said, “I would always think they were hypocrites. But tonight, I spoke in tongues myself! In fact, the Holy Spirit touched me so powerfully, I even lost my shoe.” She had chuckled with glee and held up her one shoeless foot for the crowd to see. GAMBELA, Ethiopia was our third crusade for the year. The people blocked the roads making their way back to their homes after each service, dancing and singing with exuberance. We remember the young man who had tried committing suicide by jumping from a bridge six years earlier. He broke his leg as a result and such never healed properly, making walking extremely difficult. The suicidal thoughts continued. At our crusade, he testified with great joy. Not only was his leg perfectly healed but that horrible depression had disappeared. GABA came next, a rural community in South Africa. We will never forget how the queen of Gaba received the Lord, boldly responding to the altar call in front of the whole crowd. Finally, ARBA MINCH, Ethiopia. A full report thereon precedes this one. Our salvation count for 2017 stands at 67,655. Each of these precious people received follow-up material and have been filtered into the local church for discipleship with the assistance of decision cards. Let us rejoice, dear friend. This has been a magnificent year!
