NOTE FROM TAMRYN As we near the middle of 2017, we look behind us with joy and before us with eager anticipation. Three crusades have come and gone – DILLA, MNINGINISI, GAMBELA – and three still lie on the calendar for this year. Tens of thousands have already been impacted with the Gospel and yet, the cries of those who have not yet heard are ever in our ears. Slowing down is not an option, remaining at the same pace is undesirable. Rather, we will push harder, stretch further, aim higher, dig deeper. We live to make Him known. His truth is the only truth that can truly save this world. Yours in His service, EV. TAMRYN KLINTWORTH and the In His Name Team

G AMBELA RESPONDS TO THE GOSPEL Our Gospel Crusade in GAMBELA, Ethiopia took place from 18 - 21 May and we witnessed the Lord moving mightily from beginning to end. Situated in the western part of Ethiopia, Gambela lies very near to the border of South Sudan. Refugees have flooded the town and consequently, our crowd each day consisted of a splendid mix of both Ethiopians and South Sudanese, all hungry for the preaching of the word. Preach we did and respond they did. Thousands received Jesus as Lord and decision cards were distributed among the involved churches, precious pastors following up each new convert. The details of these fledgling believers were collected by an eager team of 1000 ushers, looking very smart in their “Ethiopia for Jesus” t-shirts. Our official salvation count amounted to 14 687. How glorious! The rainy season in Gambela begins with great intensity come June. Hence, our intercessors were hard at work praying that the season would not begin earlier than expected. Our first service kicked-off two hours late due to a torrential downpour that lasted several hours. Thereafter however, day after day yielded beautiful sunshine. We praise the Lord for this and heartfelt thanks to all of you who prayed. Not only were the salvations fantastic, but prayer for the sick resulted in a deluge of terrific testimonies. For the past six years, AGUDE (60) had been plagued by back pains so terrible that she was unable to bend and knee problems so severe that she walked with great difficulty. On the first night of our crusade, all that changed. With no more pains in her body, Agude bounced about with glee praising the Lord. How splendid!

THANA (38) had suffered for the past year from such serious kidney problems that she needed to go for an operation. She was in constant pain. “God told me He would heal me at this crusade,” she shared. Our Jesus did not disappoint and worked a mighty miracle. Thana wept and ululated on stage, all pain having ceased, her body completely whole. OMOT (35) had been plagued by a severe headache for years. “My head felt like it was on fire,” he shared. “Now, I feel such a coolness, like rivers of water have washed over me.” AZARIAS (26) is a student. He not only accepted Jesus as Lord but was healed from two years of debilitating back pain. He stretched with great enthusiasm and demonstrated his newfound mobility. Healed and saved, he professed, “I feel free from the bondage of sin. I am now a child of God!” One young man tried to commit suicide six years ago, jumping from a bridge in Gambela. He broke his leg as a result and such never healed properly, making walking extremely difficult. The suicidal thoughts continued. During our Saturday evening service, he testified with great joy. Not only is his leg perfectly healed but his heart overflows with supernatural

peace. This is so wonderful! Another gentleman testified as to how he had struggled with severe asthma since childhood. “During prayer, I felt something coming out of my nose,” he said, trying to explain the experience. “I can breathe easily now, my chest is open, I am free!” A young lady had not been able to hear out of her right ear since childhood. She is healed as well, that ear having popped open. On the Sunday morning of the crusade week, a combined service was held with all the involved churches at which Ev. Tamryn ministered. During the evening service, the baptism of the Holy Spirit was prayed for with phenomenal results. Thousands were filled from on high, torrents of tongues rising to heaven. What joy filled the crowd! They jumped and sung with such gusto that even upon leaving the stadium, they continued celebrating. Roads were jammed-packed with newly Spirit-filled men and women, glorifying the Lord. It looked as if the whole of Gambela was out and about, so many packed the streets, dancing, leaping and praising God. Our hearts are full, dear friends. Rejoice together with us. Your faithful prayers and generous support have made this all possible!

THEIR BLOOD, OUR HANDS “Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:2627). In the above verse, Paul was addressing the Ephesian elders before he departed from them to Jerusalem, a city in which he fully anticipated to suffer and even die for the faith. His speech to them was one of farewell. “I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem,” he said in verse 22, “not knowing the things that will happen to me there, except that the Holy Spirit testifies in every city, saying that chains and tribulations await me.” What Paul said regarding being innocent of the blood of all men, reflects what God declared through the prophet in Ezekiel 3:18-19. “When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your

hand. Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.” What Paul was saying was this: “I have proclaimed the Gospel with all that is within me. I have given my all. I have held nothing back. I have shouted from the rooftops that Jesus saves. I have warned the wicked man. Should he continue in his sin, it will not be because he did not know the truth about the Redeemer of this world.” Can you say this about your life, dear friend? Can I say this about mine? What we read in Ezekiel is sobering. While the Lord is not trying to scare us here, he is trying to communicate the urgency of the task at hand and the role his children are to play in it. We are guilty of the blood of the unsaved if we do not share the Good News with them. For their sake, for ours and for the sake of our Jesus who died to set all men free, the Gospel must be preached!
