A NOTE FROM TAMRYN As we embark upon yet another year, my mind – and no doubt yours – is already racing to anticipate what lies ahead. Challenges, whether great or small, have already presented themselves in the lives of most. And so, I would like to encourage you with a verse than has recently encouraged me. In Hebrews 3:4 we read: “For every house is built by someone, but He who builds all things is God.” Such communicates an essential truth. God is the Master Builder and we His co-labourers, His fellow-workmen. When we build what He delights in, He is right there with us, ever at work. Naturally, when challenges arise we are required to fight. “You must run in such a way that you may be victorious,” 1 Corinthians 9:24 tells us. After all, believers should never curl up in defeat and wait for the end. And yet, be assured that God is running by our sides, fighting at our sides. Some of His movings are subtle, others more dramatic. However, He is at all times travailing away next to His children, ensuring that their genuine efforts reap genuine fruit. Knowledge of this wonderful truth is a great comfort. At In His Name, the year before us includes five crusades, the first kicking-off this March. Together with you, dear friend, we shall again bear witness to thousands of precious people being catapulted from darkness and devilish deception into His marvellous light! Let us not draw back, let us never shift our foot off the accelerator. Your partnership makes each crusade possible, every salvation an exquisite reality. Be blessed by the newsletter that follows. Therein you will find some information regarding upcoming crusades as well as details regarding my new book, just released. In fact, its eBook version can be downloaded from spiritoffire.global for FREE. Such is my eagerness to get the contents thereof into your hands and heart! The book will inspire and thrill you, empower and equip you. The book shall surely change you, as writing it has changed me. Until next time, EV. tamryn klintworth and the In His Name Team

excerpt from chapter 4 Many Christians are intimidated by the idea of witnessing to unbelievers or praying for the sick. They are afraid that they will perhaps say the wrong thing or that their prayer will be poorly worded and powerless. Let us return to John 15:26-27. Remember how I explained that you and the Holy Spirit are partners or team members in the miraculous? The dynamics of this relationship are incredibly simple. Just like in any team or partnership, each person involved has different responsibilities. Take the game of soccer for example. Should the goalkeeper suddenly decide to start scoring goals instead of defending the goal posts, disaster and chaos would quickly ensue. Similarly, in the relationship between believer and Holy Spirit, each should understand their role and adhere to that role. Of course, the Spirit is not confused about His role at all. Rather, it is the believer who is often uncertain. Take for example a scenario in which the
Holy Spirit wants to testify that Jesus saves. Now, does He bellow out from somewhere in the clouds and say, “Hello, you down there. Do you know who Jesus is?” No, He does not. While we do hear stories of the Lord appearing to people in visions and dreams and introducing Himself to them in person, it is not the norm. Rather, the norm is this: the Holy Spirit comes to you or He comes to me – the born-again, Spirit-filled believer – and He begins to prompt us, whispering to our hearts, “Speak to that one. That one needs to know that Jesus loves him. That one needs to know that Jesus saves.” Then, should we be obedient to His nudging and speak to the person in question from the heart, the Holy Spirit wraps Himself around our simple sentences and sets them on fire, turning them into mighty arrows of deliverance. How fantastic! Even the simplest of words become a means of transport for God Almighty to penetrate a human heart.
what inspired tamryn to write the book?
“
I wrote this book with the believer heavy on my heart. How tragic is the Christian who thinks God cannot use them or does not want to use them! In fact, God not only wants to use every believer but is in desperate need of them allowing Him to do so. The salvation message needs proclaiming and we are His chosen vessels. Should we kept silent, the world perishes. Yet, if we allow Him to flow through us, the captive is set free. The purpose of “Spirit of Fire” is to equip you, dear friend, for one simple, extraordinary privilege: being used by God.

“That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.” – John 1 v 9
the already saved to witness to the unsaved. He rides these words as electricity rides a cable.
Jesus does not only save the sinner, but first leads the sinner to Himself. He is both Saviour and Usher all at the same time. In the above verse, we read that Jesus is the true Light who gives light to all men. This “gives light” can also be translated as “illuminate”. You see, He first illuminates the heart of a man, showing both the sin and the need for salvation. When that man recognises his need, calling on the name of the Lord, Jesus gives him not just light but the one true Light, namely Himself. Hallelujah! We must remember however that in order for Jesus to illuminate, He needs
The verse quoted above is immediately preceded by the mention of John the Baptist. “This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.” This we read in John 1 v 7 – 8. Jesus needs our witness. He needs it to illuminate so that He can save. Our role in the process is essential. Our role is necessary. Our role is fundamental.
