NOTE FROM TAMRYN Our team loves crusading in places where other ministries do not go. MNINGINISI is such a place: remote, poverty-stricken, forgotten by the world but dear to the heart of our Jesus! From 5 - 9 April, the Lord poured Himself out upon this isolated village location. The hunger of the people for His touch was intense. They grabbed hold of Him with everything they are and He did not disappoint! Now, we move on to GAMBELA, Ethiopia. Sitting on the western border of that nation, many South Sudanese refugees call it home. The potential impact we can make in this town is extreme. Together with you, Gambela shall be saved! Yours in His service, EV. TAMRYN KLINTWORTH and the In His Name Team

The village of MNINGINISI sits deep in the bushveld of the Limpopo province of South Africa. The dust roads leading thereto are so rough that they can only be navigated with an off-road vehicle. And yet, regardless of its remoteness, thousands of hungry hearts poured onto our crusade field each evening, desperate for a touch from heaven. The crusade had been promoted not only in Mninginisi but in twenty surrounding villages. Men and women flooded in from all sides. What an outpouring of the Holy Spirit we experienced, salvation, healing and deliverance flowing in abundance! A glorious total of 10 815 decision cards have been handed over to the local pastors for follow-up, such being the result of both the crusade itself and our pre-crusade outreaches. Each decision card represents a precious new believer. Hallelujah! One middle-aged gentleman approached us one evening, just having given his life to the Lord. “I thought I could never be good,” he expressed. “Now, I am good because of Jesus.” Amen and amen, we all need to be washed clean by the blood of the Lamb! Miracles manifested in abundance, long queues quickly forming after prayer for the sick of those eager to testify. On some evenings, almost an hour was spent working through these lines of eager voices. JUDUS (43) received the Lord as Saviour on the Wednesday evening. He works as a mechanic and in January this year, an exploding car battery resulted in his eyes being so badly injured that continuing in his skillset was nearly impossible, a serious consequence for this family breadwinner. Now, the pain is gone, his sight crystal clear. “I thank God,” he

Thousands listen eagerly to the Gospel exclaimed, “I thank God!” SOPHY (70) had walked stooped over since 1978. She relied on a set of crutches to lift herself up. After prayer, this dear old lady bounced about on stage, her back perfectly straight. “I am healed!” she declared. “I will burn my crutches!” ROSE (75) had suffered from sores in her mouth for almost four decades. “I would always spit out blood,” she explained. Jubilant, these sores are no more. NICE (20) had broken her collarbone in 2012. The bone had never healed properly and caused her both pain and limited movement. During the crusade, she not only accepted Jesus as Lord but that shoulder was perfectly healed. NORIAH (53) had broken her left arm some years back. She showed us the scar on her elbow as proof of the resultant operation. That arm had never been the same. It was weak and often trembled. Physical work, even lifting the arm for longer than a moment, posed a problem. Now, all that has changed. Noriah is completely well! ANNA (65) had broken her ankle in 2011. The bones had not healed properly and the ankle caused her constant pain. Now, she is free! SAMUEL (60) had been thrown from a train in 1993. He could not lift his left arm as a result nor bend his back
Precious believers are baptised with the Holy Spirit
An African mama dances before the Lord in her traditional Tsonga dress without serious difficulty. He demonstrated his newfound liberty, the crowd rejoicing with him. As is our custom, I taught on the Holy Spirit on three of the evenings (following the Gospel message) and prayed for the baptism of the Holy Spirit after the final teaching. What a floodtide of His glory ensued! One elderly woman was brutally honest: “Whenever I heard people praying in tongues, I would always think they were hypocrites. But tonight, I spoke in tongues myself! In fact, the Holy Spirit touched me so powerfully, I even lost my shoe.” She chuckled with glee and held up her one shoeless foot for the crowd to see. A young man shared, “I always wanted to pray for the sick but I was afraid. Tonight, I have been baptised with the Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time. I am no longer afraid. I feel filled with His power. I will go out and let the Lord use me mightily!” Dear friends, your prayers and generous giving have made this crusade possible. The pastors of Mninginisi cannot stop saying thank you. Our Jesus has done great things for this village community and we are rejoicing. Rejoice together with us!

Isaiah 53 is one of the most powerful chapters in Scripture. Therein, the prophet foretells the sufferings of the coming Messiah with intense detail. For the first portion of the chapter, his focus is on the physical torment of the lashings and cross: “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him and by His stripes we are healed” (v 5). Yet, from verse 10, the prophet shifts emphasis. Now, his focus is on the soul of Christ: “When You make His soul an offering for sin” (v 10); “He shall see the labour of His soul and be satisfied” (v 11); “He poured out His soul unto death” (v 12). Now, why the shift from the body of Christ to the soul of Christ? You see, while the physical torment of our Saviour was indeed horrific, the torture of His soul was even more so. When Jesus was nailed to the cross, He was the perfect Lamb of God, His soul spotless and blemish-free, utterly void of sin. However, for His sac-
rifice to have any meaning, all the sin of all the world – past, present and future – needed to be put upon that soul, so Christ could die in our place, paying the price for our transgressions. Such was done, its weight being so horrific, it saturated Him to the point that the Bible teaches Jesus became sin (2 Cor 5:21). “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Christ cried, a veil of sin having been drawn between Him and His Father, a veil that His sacrifice would soon shred for whomsoever would call upon His name. Because, while our Lord died under that wicked weight, His righteousness ultimately won the fight, Him rising from the dead on the third day to be forever victorious over sin and death. Hallelujah! And so, while we mourn what He suffered, we rejoice over the victory. Calling on His name makes His victory our victory. Oh death, where is your sting? Oh sin, where is your shame? We are free, free forevermore!
