ISSUE # 4 / SEPTEMBER 2016
A NOTE FROM TAMRYN MUMIAS now lies behind us, together with MUDABULA and MALAMULELE. All three crusades were marvellous, all three were channels for the Lord to work wonders. Before us lie NTLHAVENI (South Africa) and DILLA (Ethiopia). Together with your prayers and support, dear friend, Africa is being lifted into the arms of our Saviour King! We shall labour until her “righteous goes forth as brightness and her salvation as a lamp that burns” (Isaiah 62:1). We shall labour until “violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise” (Isaiah 60:18). In His name, it shall be so! Yours in His service, EV. TAMRYN KLINTWORTH and the In His Name Team
MIRACLES MANIFEST IN MUMIAS What a spectacular five-day crusade we have had in the village community of MUMIAS, Kenya (24 - 28 August). We are rejoicing! Do rejoice with us, dear friend, as you browse through the newsletter that follows. Without your faithful support, these meetings would not have taken place. Never has there been such a crusade in Mumias, worked on by all the churches. Their differences were put aside and unity shone. Mumias lies in the western part of Kenya, sitting less than 70km from the Ugandan border. Its area is well-known for sugarcane farming, rain falling on average throughout the year for half of every month. Your prayers worked wonders, resulting in three services throughout which we enjoyed

Men and women flocked to the crusade field in their thousands night after night
beautiful weather and two in which we ended up getting a little wet. The Gospel was preached regardless however night after night, 1 653 precious souls saying “Yes!” to Jesus and completing a decision card. The pastors are thrilled. With their churches being between twenty and one hundred members in size, this for them is a mighty floodtide of salvation. Many eagerly shared with us how their Sunday morning services were already attended by many newcomers, all who received the Lord as Saviour during the crusade week. How this delights our hearts, churches exploding with new growth! Of course, prayer for the sick each evening resulted in a deluge of miracles, precious people queuing to testify of the greatness of God.

Ev. Tamryn preaches the Gospel, her interpreter at her side
Multiple young men testified of being set free from lung ailments, some not having been able to breathe with ease or without pain for several years. A young woman had suffered from a longstanding heart ailment, her chest permanently tight and her heart beating with uncomfortable intensity. She was completely set free. “It beats now as it should,” she expressed, so very happily. During the prayer, I felt tears running down my cheeks, I felt Jesus touching my body.” A certain teenager had suffered from a skin ailment, the skin on certain parts of her body appearing white and flaky. After prayer, she checked herself to discover with astonishment that the troublesome spots were smooth and perfect. BUSOLO (32) had not been able to see properly for ten years. Now, his eyesight is perfect. “I can read again!” he exclaimed. “During prayer, I felt my eyes tearing and then I could see.” SHAKILA (29) had suffered from terrible, constant abdominal pains since 2014. They were so severe, she explained, that even her back would ache. “I felt a breeze blowing through my body,” she shared, “and then, the pain disappeared. I am so very happy. I am healed!” BEATRICE (40) bent and stretched on stage, touching her toes and smiling with glee. “For three years I could not
bend or work effectively. During prayer, I felt the pain in my back melt away, I thank God!” ALICE (56) had not been able to walk since 2006, diabetes and high blood pressure having wreaked havoc on her body. She had been discharged from hospital just recently but was no better until she happened to attend our crusade. “I can walk again,” she exclaimed. “Jesus has healed me!”
Ev. Samuel, our Crusade Director, preaches the Gospel on the Sunday evening of our crusade week
A little rain did not quench the enthusiasm of our praise and worship team
As is our custom, following the Gospel message on three of the evenings, Ev. Tamryn taught on the Holy Spirit. The baptism was prayed for after the final teaching with the fire of God falling and filling from the front of the crowd to the back. Truly, Mumias has been set ablaze to continue the good work started by these crusade meetings. We are looking forward to hearing glorious reports of believers moving in their community with power, witnessing of His love, praying for the sick and casting out demons. Hallelujah! Let us keep Mumias in our hearts, praying for its believers, both those who laboured together with us and those who have just come to know the Lord. May they all be called “oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendour” (Isaiah 61:3).

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding. Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.” – Psalm 32:8-9 The Lord both encourages and pleads in the above quoted verses. He first shares how eager He is to direct His children, how earnestly He desires to save them from the pain of stumbling along confused and off course. He then pleads for them not to fight Him in the process. “Do not be like the horse or mule which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,” He says. I have done some horseback riding in my day and can testify to the frustration of an unruly animal. Neither stead
nor rider enjoy the journey. The experience is a constant battle of wills. Dear friend, are you fighting God? He desires only your good, be assured of that. Do not fight, rather follow. Do not frustrate your Maker, do not frustrate the One who bled and died to set you free. The direction in which He leads you ends in pleasant pastures. Listen for His voice, obey His word, pursue what pleases Him. Draw near to Him and He shall draw near to you.
