A NOTE FROM TAMRYN Our recent crusade in YIRGA ALEM, Ethiopia (4 - 7 October) was superb from beginning to end. It felt as if the Lord threw a massive dragnet around this precious town and pulled it into His embrace. The place where my husband and I were staying sat at one side of the town and the crusade field at the other. As we drove through the town on our way to the final service, the streets were deserted. Everyone, it seemed, was on that blessed field, waiting to receive whatever they needed from His hands, be it salvation, healing, deliverance or the Holy Spirit baptism. After they had received their fill, those people danced home. One group of young men bounced and leapt and chanted: “Proclaim Jesus! He is the Son of God!” Yes indeed, shout Him from the rooftops, young men. He is Lord of all! Yours in His service, EV. TAMRYN KLINTWORTH and the In His Name Team

YIRGA ALEM: SMALL TOWN, BIG GOD Our team has returned home from a red-hot, Spirit-saturated Gospel Crusade in YIRGA ALEM. A small town in southern Ethiopia surrounded by dense jungle, such was splendidly shaken by the power of our Saviour King. Young and old listened to each Gospel message with tremendous attentiveness, hanging on every word, waiting with baited breath it seemed for the moment in which they could call on the name that our Heavenly Father has raised above every other name. Tens of thousands did just that, 22,387 receiving follow-up material and our ushers working hard to collect personal details. The pastors are eagerly connecting with these precious new converts, pulling them into local congregations and rooting them in the family of God. How exciting! Night after night our crowd doubled, Jesus pouring His goodness out upon the people of YIRGA ALEM too wonderfully. Demons skedaddled. Mighty miracles manifested. So many testified of being healed from diseases that had tormented them from childhood. One young woman was born with a severe nervous disorder that caused her to shake constantly. She could neither stand nor walk without assistance and her speech was impeded. Jesus touched her with such power that she fell to the ground, trembling under His might. This divine shaking shook all the bad shaking out of her. When she arose, she was perfectly well! Impacted by this show

of God’s love for her, she returned to the crusade the following evening, received the Lord as Saviour and came forward to testify. The young man who often assisted her was by her side, bouncing with exuberance. He had needed to stabilise her before but now, she stood firmly on her own two feet, speaking with absolute clarity, beaming with joy. What a mighty miracle! Another young lady had never been able to see clearly. Her sight was so poor in fact that she no longer attended school. During prayer, she explained how she felt something falling out of her eyes and then suddenly, she could see perfectly. Hallelujah! An elderly gentleman had been fighting kidney disease for the past five years, in and out of clinics. The pain is now gone, the torture over. He has been completely healed. Praise the Lord! A young man had been unable to walk on his one leg without pain since childhood. His right knee was a constant torment. Leaping up and down on stage, bending and flexing that limb, he bounced for joy. How fantastic! A teenager shared that tumours on his ears had disappeared. A young man told us that an operation on his stomach months earlier had resulted in painful wounds that refused to heal. Such had incapacitated him. He started doing

push-ups on stage to the delight of the crowd, eager to show us that Jesus had healed him completely. A young girl testified that she was set free from demonic spirits and had given her heart to Jesus. She wept with emotion. Each evening, the crowd danced home down the main street, blocking traffic and singing songs of praise to the Lord, young and old together. The atmosphere was electric! Sunday was fire-filled from beginning to end. In the morning, our mass church service was glorious. All the congregations that took hands with us closed their doors and gathered together on the crusade field. Thousands scattered across the stadium, huddled beneath trees or umbrellas, escaping the heat. That evening, we handed Certificates of Appreciation to the key crusade committee members on stage and embraced them with great joy. Then, following the Gospel message and a final teaching on the Holy Spirit, prayer for the Holy Spirit baptism yielded an army of surrendered soul-winners. Tamryn had taught on the Holy Spirit during two previous services, building layer upon layer. What holy chaos ensued as we prayed for the fire to fall! Men and women, young and old were

saturated in His power, presence and personality, never to be the same again. When things settled a little, Tamryn asked who would surrender their lives into the hands of God, going wherever He would send them, doing whatever He would bid them, committing themselves to being wholly His vessels and His alone. It looked as if every hand lifted skyward, promising all to Jesus. Oh yes, precious Lord, please use each one of them for your glory!

so faithful. Heartfelt thanks, dear friend. Your prayers and giving have swept another African town into the Kingdom of God. And so, rejoice with us. Jesus is alive and mighty to save!

Our intercessors prayed back the rain in a fantastic fashion. We often watched as storm clouds passed over our heads and lightning flashed in the distance, yet other than the first service starting a little late due to a downpour, no meeting felt a raindrop. After a forecast of heavy, daily showers, this is a miracle. In fact, as we drove home from one of the services down the main street, the rain started falling. The pastors who were in the vehicle with us began exclaiming, “God is with us! God is with us! Yes indeed, our Jesus was
