"PILGRIMS TRAIN"
DESCRIPTION:
Canfranc is the hometown of the most famous train station of Spain. This huge historical building will host one of Sargantana Association activities, which are focused in edudation and training of young people.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The tasks to be carried out during the next work camps in summer 2023 will focus on improving the maintenance of two train cars, finishing the first phase and painting, since no workings were carried out for about two summers. In order to get this done, the volunteers will do in teams doors and exterior windows enclosing, painting, cleaning and protection of doors and roft.

Jorearte is a Festival of Performing Arts in the rural environment. "ARCHAELOGICAL SITE 'EL SOLADO' "
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The voluntary action will take place at the site itself on the outskirts of the town of Rielves, where the mosaics were found.
Participate in carrying out archaeological surveys in search of the remains of the Roman villa guided by the results provided by the georadar. The excavation work at the site will be directed by an archaeologist. Archaeological drawing and cataloging of the materials found. Application of new technologies for archaeological study: photogrammetry and drone.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The general objective of the workcamp will be the excavation and archaeological documentation of the Roman villa of "El Prado II" (Viver, Castellón). The workcamp aims to give a global vision of archaeology, from its praxis to its function as a catalyst for tourism. To this end, work such as cleaning and cataloging of recovered materials will be carried out; cultural visits to sites and talks related to archaeology, ending with an example of enhancement and presentation of the results to the population that hosts it.

"PARQUE NATURAL CHERASOT DE CHERA"

Chera is a municipality in the Comunitat Valenciana, in the province of Valencia, in the Requena-Utiel region. It is located 17 km from Requena, in the interior of the province of Valencia, and less than an hour from Valencia capital. Immersed in an enveloping tranquility and stillness, the town is located inside a huge tectonic trench formed sixty-five million years ago and surrounded by steep peaks up to 1,176 m high. Its economy is fundamentally based on rural tourism and mountain agriculture. It is the seat of the Chera-Sot de Chera Natural Park, also the first geological park in the Valencian Community and one of the three existing in Spain.

The volunteers together with an expert archaeologist will identify, catalog and study the past of the Dolméns of Alto das Mámoas complex, as well as facilitate its access. Unite through a route the heritage already existing in the municipality with the set of Dolmens that are going to be valued. Residents of the Council will be asked to participate and be involved in the route. Creation of a video about the entire archaeological and heritage complex of the Council, as well as the work done by the volunteers.
Creation of content for social networks through different publications to disseminate the tasks that are carried out day by day.
Creation of a digital magazine that promotes the different points of interest of the Outes Council.
Creation of infographic with the results achieved in this camp.

We intend to make known the material and cultural heritage of the City of Mesía, specifically the Arboretum or Botanical Garden for its fifteenth anniversary.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
1. Help plant a sensory garden and build a pond in the Messiah Arboretum or Botanical Garden. Creation of a sensory garden, with specimens of plants and aromatic herbs that stimulate the sense of smell as well as the other senses, and that can be visited by groups that increasingly use these spaces as a place of learning. To stimulate the ear we will build a pond with waterfalls, and inside we will plant different species of aquatic plants.
2. Collaborate in the planting of an edible forest and signaling of species.
3. Build insect hotels, bird nest houses and bat houses. The group of participants will make, at the end of the work camp, a guided tour of the neighborhood of Mesía.

DESCRIPTION :
The objective of this work camp is the conservation and recovery of the forests along the Eume River and the dissemination of the Atlantic forests so that future generations can enjoy a landscape and a wealth of biodiversity that are at least as good or better than the one we collect.

• Cleaning and maintenance of an area of the Vilarbó forest.

"DUNAS DE CORRUBEDO"

This volunteer camp is located in the Corrubedo dune complex and the Carregal and Vixán lagoons. The Natural Park is located entirely in the municipality of Ribeira (A Coruña). The SCI (place of community interest) also covers the island of Sálvora (Ribeira), which belongs to the Atlantic Islands Maritime-Terrestrial National Park. Corrubedo has the largest dune in Galicia.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The work will be environmental and will consist of reconstruction work, maintenance of the trails; information and awareness of the visitor and specific interventions to improve the dune complex, as well as on the Island of Sálvora, which belongs to the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of the Atlantic Islands. There will also be intervention in the elimination of invasive species and collaboration with fire surveillance.

"O BATÁN DE MEZONZO"
DESCRIPTION :
It is located in the parish of Mezonzo, belonging to the City of Vilasantar (A Coruña) where he professed and took the nickname San Pedro de Mezonzo. This fulling mill is located on the banks of the river Gándara, a tributary of the Tambre, next to a beautiful waterfall and surrounded by a dense forest of native forests.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Assist in the tasks of cleaning the accesses, removing spontaneous vegetation, conditioning the railings and stairs and signaling the Batán de Mezonzo.

The Castro de Lupario, also known as the Castro de Beca, is a Galician fort located between the parishes of San Julián de Bastavales (Brión) and Ribasar (Rois). It was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in December 2009. It is easily accessible and remains of the walls can be seen. The Jacobean legend places in this castro the residence of the Raiña Lupa (a character from Galician mythology who appears in the Codex Calixtinus, in which it is told how once the remains of the apostle Santiago arrived at Iria Flavia, they were deposited in the property of a lady named Lupa).
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The archaeological intervention in the castro de Lupario will consist mainly of excavation tasks, cleaning practices, sigla and archaeological drawing.

A Laracha is a municipality located in the eastern part of the Bergantiños region, in the province of A Coruña, Galician region.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The archaeological and environmental work camp "Castro de Montes Claros", will offer participants an exceptional opportunity to share different types of cultures, customs, ways of life, etc. They will know the castrexa culture, the Celtiberian way of life, etc, highlighting the social component. The area where the castro is located, its surroundings, its history, the origin, the meaning of the fortified towns of the Iron Age, etc. will be studied. We will clean the perimeter area of the castro, conditioning the access road, signage, etc.

Coirós is a municipality located in the northwest of the province of A Coruña. There are several archaeological remains found within the limits of the town hall that testify that it was inhabited since the time of the castrexa culture.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Cleaning of weeds and elimination of nonnative species such as acacias and eucalyptus.
Care of specimens of native species present such as chestnut or oak trees.
Cleaning and conditioning of roads, trails and structures such as walls.
Elimination of weeds in the vicinity of an archaeological structure, without affecting it at all, as a preliminary step for a future excavation.

DESCRIPTION :
In Friol, important megalithic and castreño vestiges are preserved, among others, the best known being the fortress of San Paio de Narla. This land was also occupied by Romans and Visigoths.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Work on the improvement and enhancement of the Castro Friulio, and help in the restoration and consolidation of various structures.
Active participation in the organization and execution of the II Malla in Castro Friulio, an event that took place for the first time in 2022, coinciding with the first edition of this Work Camp. It is about recovering the tradition of the wheat mesh, which was much more than the sifting of cereals. LA MALLA, what is?: Before the harvesting machines did everything: mowing, extracting the grain, packing the straw,... it was done manually. One of the most important cooperative works in rural agriculture was "LA MALLA". This communion between all the neighbours, uniting effort and sweat,... takes the step of becoming an almost extinct secular tradition in a good part of our Galicia.

The municipality of Guitiriz is located in the Terra Chá region, one of the best examples of the Galician rural landscape. The Pardiñas Festival is celebrated on the first weekend of August. One of the most important folk festivals nationwide, the "Festival Internacional Folk de Pardiñas". It is the second oldest folk music festival in Galicia (1980), behind Ortigueira (1978).

The volunteers of this work camp will collaborate with the organization of this Pardiñas festival: preparation of the venues, assembly of structures, collection and cleaning of the festival field; maintenance work on the Lavadoiro de Forxá; Maintenance of the hiking trail PRG-99 “A ruta da auga”. The participants will also collaborate with local volunteers by carrying out environmental awareness actions with the people attending this Pardiñas festival.

Quiroga is a municipality in the province of Lugo. IThe A Pedriña Waterfall is located above the Pombar Waterfall in which action has already been taken in 2019. For this 2022 volunteer camp, the aim is to make the access between the two waterfalls as well as to signpost the route and prepare the A Pedriña Waterfall for a natural bathing place in Quiroga.

DESCRIPTION: Muíños is a municipality in the south of the province of Ourense located in the Baixa Limia region, right on the border with Portugal. Esgos is a small municipality that sits in a valley near the last foothills of the Massif Central. It is an area with many rivers and streams that move the stones of the mills. The landscape is of enormous beauty, highlighting the granite outcrops and the thick trees, which create fantastic scenes set with old oaks and chestnut trees.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
It is an ethnographic work camp that will put volunteers in contact with the "Ribeira Sacra ourensá", based on the knowledge of the history of Esgos in particular and Galicia in general. An important aspect in this camp will be the photographic compilation of the past of Esgos, tales and legends still alive told by our grandmothers and grandfathers. The volunteers will be part of a team of archeology professionals who have been searching for the oldest remains of the fortress for some time.

Record of Lapidary Signs: an archaeological research project whose special mission is to locate, record and identify the lapidary signs present on the walls of the fortress of Monterrei.
Photogrammetic Survey: photogrammetric record of the Fortaleza de Monterrei which will later facilitate the spatial location of the identified lapidary signs. Placement of boxes-nest: new nest boxes will be manufactured and placed in the natural surroundings of the Castle, with the aim of stopping the progress of the overpopulation of Thaumetopoea pityocampa, commonly known as processionary; as well as preserving the poultry species present there. Cleaning areas: creation of an informative catalog for all audiences, with the results of the campaign.

O Pereiro de Aguiar is a town in the province of Ourense where a modern theory would place one of the possible locations of the mythical “Monte Medulio”, on the mountain that is now known as
O Castelo.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Ethnographic recovery: the ethnographic festival of Loñoá. Loñoá, a small village Pereiro de Aguiar was famous for its pottery. The ethnographic festival (on August 6) aims to recover and show the old trades in order to put them in value and prevent their loss. The participants will actively collaborate with the neighborhood of Loñoá in the organization of the ethnographic party, helping in the recovery of old ethnographic objects, making and recovering traditional games to recreate them.
Action will also be taken to recover its traditional barrier: Loñoá had an old barrier where clay was traditionally extracted to make pottery. This barrier was lost in oblivion and to this day has no accessibility.

The municipality of Celanova has an important historical heritage that has the singularity of being a reflection of time and a magnificent example of the historical evolution of Galicia.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The elaboration of different non-fiction pieces that reflect the patrimonial, cultural, artistic and literary wealth of the Celanova Council, involving the Celanova people in this project, through the realization of different interviews and collection of testimonies. The different pieces must meet a series of technical requirements (shots, sequences, angles...) as well as geographical ones (filming locations). Together with the audiovisual team, the participants will go through the three stages of audiovisual creation: preproduction, production and subsequent assembly. At the same time, they must take advantage of the technical means (cameras, sound equipment, tripods, computers, drones...) to film small individual pieces that they will present at the final short film festival.

DESCRIPTION:
TThe municipality of Larouco has important archaeological sites from different periods. The Castro de Castrillón stands out for its monumentality, which will focus the action of this work camp. But the Roman presence is the most evident, both in the toponymy and in various remains found.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL SURVEY: locate materials and structures that can help them date the important archaeological remains of the municipality.

Contrebia Leucade is the most important archaeological site in La Rioja and one of the most spectacular and significant in pre-Roman Spain. The monumentality and the exceptional state of conservation of the elements present in its interior exert a great attraction and suggestion on the visitors. Contrebia Leucade provides, also, information hardly observable in other archaeological sites on the Roman conquest of Hispania and what it meant for the indigenous communities..

DESCRIPTION:
The Paular Valley has been historically linked to Los Batanes estate as an industrial development model linked to sustainable use of resources, such as the use of different hydraulic devices to harness water power. Don Quixote was first edited with galley proofs coming from Los Batanes. The participants will carry out specific archaelogical tasks.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Removal and cleaning of existing vegetation, both inside and outside as well as on the perimeter of the archaeological structures.
Manual cleaning and scraping building elements (walls, floors, etc.), in order to remove harmful vegetation that may damage architectural elements. All archaeological objects found will be collected, documented and stored for further study.
Implementing archaeological methodology to excavate certain structures. During this process, all archaeological material will be collected. An archaeological sounding is also planned. Recording all the archaeological materials collected, for further research and subsequent storage in the Museo Arqueológico Regional de la Comunidad de Madrid (Regional Archaeological Museum in Madrid Region), as regulatory required.

"AN ORGANIC VEGETABLE"
DESCRIPTION:
La Fuenfría valley is located in the central area of Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, on its Southern slope. It belongs to the municipality of Cercedilla, in Madrid Region.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The volunteers will create a space for the organic garden by preparing the land and installing the irrigation system.
Construction of terraces for planting and sowing.
They will carry out maintenance and care tasks for agroecological spaces such as the vegetable garden area.
Design and assembly of the "Biodiversity Trail" in the hostel, building nest boxes and shelters for other animals such as bats.

"OPENING PATHWAYS"
DESCRIPTION:
This volunteer camp will be held in LozoyuelaNavas-Sieteiglesias, a municipality located in the Sierra Norte mountains, in Madrid region. There is a traditional path "Camino a Sieteiglesias" which connects both villages, which is part of the tourist route called “Surrounding the municipality”.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Cleaning, pruning, clearing and placement of stones on the ground will be carried out to prevent flooding and allow people transit. The path will be delimited by stone blocks, creating a curb to mark the passage for walkers.
Participants will consolidate the pavement of the pathway.

"VILLAREJO EDUCATES"
DESCRIPTION:
Villarejo de Salvanés is located in the Southeast of Madrid Region. Your volunteering will promote healthy leisure in children, having fun and learning with the different activities that you will plan together.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The volunteers will work with children and young people from the town and will carry out a parallel program to improve their socio-educational skills, while learning about the history and heritage of Villarejo de Salvanés, becoming its ambassadors in their own towns.
During 15 days, you will enjoy very special holidays, and will meet people from other regions and countries.

"YOUNG PEOPLE WHO CHANGE THE WORLD"
DESCRIPTION:
The “Young people who change the World” volunteer camp will be held in Madrid, a city of youth leadership, innovation and social entrepreneurship. You will have the opportunity to participate in social entrepreneurial projects, as well as in "Impact Hub", one of the largest social networks in the world.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Identifying their most motivating challenges and will link them to larger initiatives such as the 2030 Agenda and its implementation at a local level.
Designing their own projects, with implementation capacity for their local settings. Participants will develop leadership, entrepreneurship, participation and social innovation skills, for their own comprehensive growth as well as that of the community, promoting social responsibility awareness.

"DONKEY CARAVAN"
DESCRIPTION:
The Donkey Caravan is aimed at children from 10 to 14 years old, and seeks to value biodiversity and the rural world, using the donkey as a symbol of this communion.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Creation of a script of a theater play for performance. The first part of the camp will consist of a communication workshop in English and Spanish. Volunteers will enhance their creativity and leadership skills.
Design and application of makeup and costumes for the play performance. -Volunteers will create a performance, combining music, dance, theater and plastic arts.
Organization of several performances in various mountain villages: stage, materials, costumes, etc. After the performance, the volunteers will carry out dynamization workshops with children of the mountain villages: face painting, demonstration of musical instruments and dances, care of donkeys.
