The United Kingdom The UK is a Sovereign State member of the European Union It formed by the island of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) and the northeastern of the island of Ireland (Northern Ireland), together with many smaller islands. The official name of the U.K is “The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.” The capital of the U.K is London. London is one of the most popular city in the world. The UK's form of government is a constitutional monarchy with parliamentary government. The population of the U.K reaches 60,020,000 Religion: people. The official language in the United ~ Christian: 55% ~ Muslim: 3% Kindom is the English. The most popular ~ Hinduism: 1% ~ No: 33% religion in the U.K is the Christian. ~ other: 8%
Neighbouring countries, oceans and seas The neighbouring countries of the United Kingdom are Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium and France. The UK lies between the North Atlantic ocean and the North Sea, and comes of the northwest coast of France, from which it is separated by the English Channel. Northern Ireland shares a international land boundary with the Republic of Ireland.
Monetary unit The UK's monetary unit is the pound sterling and the pence. The pound is made up of 100 pence.

Islands of the United Kingdom In the United Kingdom there are a lot of islands. The following islands are the most important in the UK: England: Portsea Island, Isle of Wight, Isle of Sheppey, Canvey Island and Hayling Island. Scotland: Orkney, Mainland, Shetland and Rockall. Wales: Anglesey, Church Island, Cribinau and East Mouse. N. Ireland: Canon Rock, Copeland Islands, Big Copeland Island and Lighthouse Island.
Mountains and pikes Ben Nevis (Aonach Mòr) is the highest pike in The United Kingdom (1,344 metres) It's situated in Scotland. The following pikes and mountains are some of the highest in the UK: Snowdon (Snowdonia 1,085 metres) (Wales) Scafell Pike (Cumbrian Mountains) (977 metres) (England) Slieve Donard (Mourne Mountains) (852 metres) (Northern Ireland)
Rivers The River Thames is the most famous and most important river in England (its major tributary is River Darent, but the River Severn (354 km) is the longest river in the UK. Its major tributary is the river Tern. The following rivers are some of the longest rivers in United Kingdom: River Tay (Scotland) (88 km), River Bann ( N. Ireland) (122 km), River Tywi (103 km) (Wales)
Lakes The Rutland Water Lake is one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe. By surface area it is the largest reservoir in England, but by capacity it is exceeded by Kielder Water. The following lakes are some of the deepest and the largest lakes in the UK: Lough Neagh (N. Ireland), Loch Lomond (Scotland), Windermere (England).

Natural wonders In the UK there are many natural wonders, but now we will show eight wonders of them. Pistyll Rhaeadr: It is the tallest waterfall in Wales. The river runs over a cliffface with a drop of nearly 75 metres. Giant's Causeway: it is a bunch of 40,000 enormous, mainly hexagonal columns of basalt on the Antrim coast. It is in Northern Ireland. Cheddar Gorge: It is the England's deepest gorge, at the Mendip Hills' southern edge, its limestone cliff walls rising to more than 150 metres.
Natural Wonders Scafell Pike, Lake District: It is the England's highest peak, in the middle of The Lake District. The Needles in Alum Bay, Isle of Wight: they are the remnants of a chalk ridge that once joined mainland Britain to the Isle of Wight. Needles is a 19thcentury lighthouse. Flamborough Head in Yorkshire: It is a beautiful, sevenmile long headland with soaring white chalk cliffs.
Natural wonders Winnats Pass, Peak District, Derbyshire: It is a pair of towering limestone pinnacles rising up from Hope Valley. Loch Lomond in Scotland: In terms of surface area, it's the UK mainland's biggest freshwater body of water, 24 miles long and five miles at its widest point. Its maximum depth is an incredible 190 metres.
Llyn Peninsula This fringe of land enters 38 miles into the Irish Sea.It is surrounded by spectacular cliffs on its north side and it is surrounded by beaches on its south side.
Itineraries We have proposed a itinerary of 12 days in the UK: Days 1 to 2 the UK: London London is a city with many tourist attractions. The first day you can visit the British Museum, which has many antiques. The second day you can visit the United Kingdom Parliament on the banks of the Thames. There is the Big Ben, a great and famous symbol of the city clock. The last day you can visit the London Bridge Day 3 of the UK: Canterbury Canterbury is a small town. You can visit Canterbury Cathedral. Inside the cathedral is the church of St. Thomas Becket. Day 4 of the UK: StratforduponAvon StratforduponAvon is a town south of Birmingham. You can visit the birthplace of William Shakespeare and Holy Trinity Church of StarforduponAvon. Day 5 in the UK: Birmingham Birmingham is an essential destination. You can visit the Bull Ring Shopping Centre, The Museum of Jewelry, the Cadbury World chocolate factory and the National Aquarium Sea Life Centre.
Itineraries Day 6 in the UK: Liverpool Liverpool is a city in northwest England. You can visit the Royal Liver Building, 50 meters high. You can visit the town hall and the Palais de la Bourse. Day 7 in the UK: Manchester In Manchester you can visit the Museum of Industry and Science. Days 8 and 9 in the UK: Edinburgh Edinburgh is a city trained. You can visit the famous Edinburgh Castle and Saint Giles Cathedral. Then you can visite Ben Nevis Pike, the River Tay and Loch Lomond that are in Scotland, too.
