Christmas concert Middle School Choir and Band at the Christmas concert

In the rehearsal room, Nell has been working with the many singers at KAS. Senior students took on a full Gershwin Musical delivering great performances in ‘Crazy for You’.

Jazz and Chamber choir have performed their classical and contemporary repertoire in all the main school concerts; proving once again how much we have all missed singing together. The KAS Bellas and The Baby Bellas have reformed with many new recruits creating some magical ‘accaperfect’ harmonies.

Two of our Y12 singers are members of the National Youth Choir of GB and Helena was also a finalist in the BBC 3 Christmas Carol Competition while Ellie performed as a soloist for ‘Aylesbury Opera’ and won the ‘Opera Aria Class’ and ‘The Young Singer of the Year’ at Milton Keynes Music Festival 2022.

WORKSHOP WITH EOB

A level and GCSE Music/Music Tech students were honored to receive a seminar from Radiohead band member and solo artist, Ed O’Brien. They were treated to a fascinating insight into his compositional and sound making process. Ed also spoke about his influences, gave a demo of his playing style, and explained the functionality of his effects pedals before answering student questions. Inspirational!
