From time to time you might get confused about this. You might think you wake up to go to work or wake up to go swimming or wake up to go to the bathroom. You might get confused that something needs to be done in order to bring more love into your life. This is a conventional and common confusion. But it is wrong.!

All you need to do to have more love in your life is to commit yourself to one thing: to wake up inspired.!
!
Why does waking up inspired bring more love into your life? Because when you wake up inspired you’ve lived yesterday like a hero. You’ve lived with gratitude. You’ve eaten well and done well and have coached yourself well. And, because today, this day ahead is a day you have planned meticulously. Not just planned what you do, or how, but how you will think, feel and be toward others. You will have a heart that is open to love all day today. And finally, because right now, this second that you’ve opened your eyes, you are in the most wonderful place you could dream. You are here, in this place, right now and there is no greater perfection than to be here, in this amazing universe, with your heart beating, your eyes open, your mind ticking. You are alive.!

It’s a Beautiful Day It’s a beautiful day. You wake up with your heart full of love and your body feeling energised. You can’t wait to bounce out of bed and get started on the day ahead. You kiss your beautiful partner gently without speaking, slide out of bed and put on your robe and go to the kitchen and enjoy your morning ritual. !

! After you’ve had your health drink, and gone to the bathroom it’s time to sit and do a few minutes of thank you’s to wake up your spirit. You move to your sports clothing and prepare yourself for your morning nature time. And the day has begun perfectly.!
! Why would we have it any other way?! !
The quality of your day depends entirely on the quality of your wake-up. Your wake-up quality depends entirely on the quality of your yesterday. The quality of your yesterday depends entirely on you. Are you ready to take responsibility for yesterday and therefore create the perfect wake-up today?!

The greatest disturbance to our mind and therefore to our heart and consequently to our energy in life is to want one thing and to do another. For example; you might say I want to be healthy and then you might spend the whole day sitting in an office chair disconnected from nature eating bread for lunch and skipping healthy nutrition. That contradiction will create mind noise and there is no meditation on earth that can solve that contradiction. The only solution is for you to line up what you do and what you want.!

In the process of doing a vision quest for the future you visualise what you want and then work backwards to what you need to do today to create that future. It is not complicated but it does require sacrifice and commitment. If your vision is unworthy of sacrifice and commitment then it will not manifest because there are too many sidetracks and opportunities to take the easy road. This is not to suggest that living your vision is the hard path. No, living your vision is the easy path because you will be rewarded in the long term rather than the short term. Always remember that the pain of regret outweighs the pain of discipline. Sometimes it's easier to eat the ice cream but the regret will be a bloated fat stomach which will inevitably contradict any ambition to look good, feel good and do good. Those contradictions destroy self-worth.!

In waking up to a perfect day the Innerwealth routine simply glides you to do the things that will cause your dreams and visions to manifest. The ultimate realisation as to whether you are on-track is whether you are waking up in the morning inspired. If you wake up in the morning and can’t wait to bounce out of bed you are on track and you will be living your vision. If you wake up and wish to put your head back on the pillow and withdraw from the day you need to undertake some personal growth work in order to get you back on your own track. I hope some of the ideas in this little book help you stay on track and wake-up inspired every morning. There are no excuses you are in control of your reaction and actions to yesterday and this is what will determine the quality of your today.!

WHY MORNINGS ARE BEST ! Many people go out into life, and then they meet with all the contracted energies and every other complexity that could obstruct their efforts. And then, only after all that, do they to think about their spiritual practice as something to tack on when all the “important” things have been taken care of. Not surprisingly, by that point a person feels “Oh, I’m too tired already” and gives up on the idea of developing a spiritual practice.!

Start each day with your inner work, and as you move through the day, you will meet each opportunity that presents itself from your own centre, and then you establish a sense of joy, vitality and enthusiasm for life. You engage this joy, you dance with it: Then whatever the activity, it is not even work any more – it’s an act of love. You find that you’re tireless in it; you have all the energy you require for anything. It is a question of where you begin, and of what you understand your real work to be. STEP 1. TENACIOUS FLEXIBILITY

! When we climb a mountain, we're always looking for the best route. It's never a straight up walk. But we never give up. Sometimes you have to go down a bit to go up. Sometimes you feel like you are making no progress.!
! It takes a tenacious approach to flexibility to live on purpose. ! !
So be flexible about how things get done, but absolutely tenacious about getting things done.!

The easy thing about climbing a mountain is that there is a top, no question, there's a peak and all else is between you and the peak. You just go around resistance but in your life that peak shifts. Sometimes we get so dogged and determined on how we do stuff that we sacrifice what we want to achieve - the peak of our ambition - in order to be something “our way” or the way we’ve always done it. We need flexibility so we adapt to stuff and hold the vision.!

If you always do what you’ve always done - You’ll always get what you’ve always got.!

We determine whether you are in GOT TO or LOVE TO space. This is the difference between hype and an inspired start to your day.!

The key to Tenacious Flexibility is 100% mental. If you do one exercise everyday for ten minutes, with your wake up cuppa in your hand, you’ll eventually convince your mind to adapt and revert to this tenacious flexibility state. Then, nothing will piss you off during the day. You’ll be in a great space, irrespective of what nature/life sends your way.!

So, here’s the form below. It’s really easy to just stick one word into the something I don’t like about or in someone (like “they were CRUEL to me”) and you can skip the flower words and drill down to the one word, Cruel. !

In the second column you can write “Where Have I Done That” because now you need to get off your high horse, self righteousness and recognise that you can’t see it in others if you haven’t got it in you. So, you need to get humble here and write around 20 or so initials of people who’ve see you do it so that you can say, “oh shit” I’ve done it to the same degree as them even though I might have done little bits, they add up to the same as them in intensity and hurt. So, now you are eating humble pie, your heart is opening and that’s good to get some tension out of your body.!

The next column is self explanatory. You are asking how their, for example “CRUELTY” is a benefit to you. Please don’t come up with rubbish like “it helps me see how bad it is” or “it helps me be more kind” that’s just rubbish reinforcing old thinking. Instead, find how you benefited, like: “woke me up, sent me deep, made me feel, revealed how I really didn’t want to be there, shook me out of complacency, told me the truth I needed to hear” !

The next column is a no brainer… if they have a cruel streak, and you now humble yourself to admit you have a cruel streak, and you already know that cruel hurts but you just found out from column 3 that there’s a balance to cruel, and that it helps, now we’re asking the obvious. “instead of beating yourself up and therefore others up for being cruel, what’s the benefit to you for doing it? Answer? Example? Ok lazy bones, here goes. Benefits to self for doing cruel are” “protects, feels strong, covers insecurity, gets the feeling out, honest, reveals where I am at, a form of communication, get my way, builds my wealth, is my inner guru speaking, intuitive” and that’s just a start.!

Now the last column is a doozy… it’s asking you to open your heart to that person who you’ve judged and be really, really, really thankful. Now that’s not just “oh, yeah, well yeah, I kinda see how it might not be as sorta bad as I used to think, sorta.” no way baby. Gratitude is nose dripping, eye tear inspiring, heart opened silence, eyes to the heavens awesomeness, feeling connected to that person sort of spookiness.” Comprende vous?!

In one year you can do 365 words and if you get really pissed off with someone you might do 20 or 30 negative words in one sitting so your heart doesn’t get all clogged up with your own rubbish. You need to clear fog as quickly as possible otherwise your mind isn’t your own.!
!
So, on the daily sheets I’ve omitted the last column, The thank you column. That’s because you need to remember that the whole mission of this column stuff is thank you. It’s about changing thoughts from a F…k you to a Th…K you….it’s important and takes seconds. !
!
That’s, in as short a possible explanation as possible, how to create Tenacious Flexibility in your mind. Learn to Unlearn… Unlearn your “Right” and “Wrong” by getting humble. Ok, yes, I hear you “Chris, does that mean it’s ok to be cruel?” answer “yup, it does but because it’s ok you will get two benefits: 1. You’ll be able to choose when 2. You won’t beat yourself up when you act it out.!

The key to this process is to do it daily. Take anything that’s cheesed you off about someone, something and get it down on paper, and out of your head. You can’t do this process in your head, you’ll go mad, you’ll start thinking you are thinking, being your own inner health and happiness coach. That’s a messed up space because life will pass you by if you live it in your head.!
!
Use a coaster, a toilet sheet, a scrap of bus ticket or your computer. No excuse … no need to store the result. Recycle the paper over and over. Blow your nose on it when you are done, wipe your backside with it, (unless you chose the bus ticket option) just do it.!
! Now, before we shut the door on Tenacious Flexibility it’s important for you to know:! !
1. The form above only deals with negative stuff. It’s equally important to kill your delusions and positive stuff because they are just as imbalanced and disconnected from

nature as your negative stuff. I haven’t introduced the delusion killer here but you can just flip the questions in that little chart and you’ll know what I mean.! 2. The form is not designed to fix things. No you can’t eliminate a trait. If someone is a bitch they will always be a bitch. The issue is that you are judging them, wanting them to change, expecting them to conform and you are implying that you aren’t a bitch (self righteous rubbish). The whole idea is to love that quality in others so you can love it in you.! 3. The big daddy form is called the Demartini Process … Dr John Demartini is the originator of the big daddy form. If you want to do a big daddy form then I can easily take you through it on a major issue. You’ll only need to do it once and you’ll know how. it’s for heartbreak, grief, violent anger, resentment and hate. It works like a charm and is also based on universal law, so it’s safe.!

STEP 2. ENERGY FOR LIFE BULLETPROOF CONNECTION
Coffey wakes you up but it doesn’t keep you going There are a growing number of personal trainers taking people outdoors and away from claustrophobic gymnasiums in order to gain their health and fitness. The more of this we see in the world the better we will be. Gymnasiums were built so that we could undertake training when the weather was terrible but they have become obsessions. They are totally unnecessary unless hell freezes over.!
!
You and I, and the world, we need to get outdoors as often as possible especially early in the morning. There are all sorts of implements and equipment that are designed for outdoor use but can be strapped to a tree or a pole to gain strength and size and shape for the body. There is really no need for a gym unless you are an Olympic super athlete.!
!
I believe that you can do all of your fitness training outdoors and therefore supplement the health of your body mind and spirit all in one go in 20 minutes a day. You can do more, Copyright 2013 Chris Walker www.chriswalker.com.au

why not? If you have the time it would be perfect. You can take meetings outdoors, you can take meals outdoors. So much more can be done away from the claustrophobic of an office wear fluorescent lights and synthetic air-conditioning destroy than true nature of inspiration and creativity.!

People are different in nature. They are more generous, creative, open minded and visionary. The same person who would sit in a room in resistance to change may very well be the absolute inspiration for change when sitting outdoor in the appropriate environment. These outdoor environments do not have to be Himalayan mountain peaks or thousands of miles away from our home or office. They can be the nearest park, our backyard, the balcony or even the foyer of our office.!

There is no debate. We are suffering from nature deficit disorder. Nor is there a debate about the benefits to the human condition for being exposed to nature. Nor is there any debate about the benefits to productivity, health, communication and human well-being for exposure to nature. This is not a test or a trial or an experiment is a fact of life that has been known for centuries but is forgotten for some reason in modern times where leaders think that a TED talk will make a difference while people are confined to boxes that are denatured.!

our transport systems separate us from nature. And we pay an extremely high price for the stress that occurs from it. People sitting in cars with radios playing in windows wound up in traffic become hyper tense. People sitting in tunnels in underground train systems with advertising media blaring into their face from all corners of the carriage, sitting on buses locked and a condition in tight seats that have no connection to nature at all. This stress is adding to both the emotional and the physical deterioration in urban life. It is unnecessary. But you cannot change the world overnight all you can do is change your life and become a model for others.!

By getting outside every day before work and exercising, celebrating, respecting and valuing nature you can connect yourself to the greatest energy source available to mankind. You can tap the earth for your own rejuvenation and build an energy reservoir inside you like a battery that can power you throughout the whole day. You can take breaks from your desk and step outside the building, you can put nature on your screensaver, you can put pot plants and flowers in your offices, you can hang great paintings and pictures on the walls that demonstrate the beauty of nature and remind people of their deeper roots. This is not so hard you can do it and it will make a magnificent difference in the energy you bring to your work and the energy you bring home at night. So let’s now talk about this morning ritual getting out in nature and reconnecting to the greatest source of energy available to mankind.!

Self Respect Starts here
! Your physical body has rested overnight. It needs rest. Given half a chance, it would take a lot of rest. But rest isn’t the answer to everything. Movement is.!
!
Going for a morning walk has it’s benefits if done right. But it’s not exercise. Doing yoga, tai chi, push ups, bench press or Pilates is not going to build what we are looking for in Bullet Proof Connections. !
!
What we want is STAMINA… We need stamina to be a good parent, leader, friend, contributor, athlete and to get us over the unexpected illness, emotional crisis and frustrating heartache. So, push ups and going to the Gym are not going to cut it.!
!
You need stamina and stamina needs you. Stamina means that your energy stays brilliant all day. It means you come home from work with more energy than you left with. It means you don’t spend the whole of your life earning money and get so old and crabby that you end up single and debilitated with disease so you can’t spend it.!
!
You won’t find stamina in an ashram or in Byron bay. You don’t get it from a relationship or voting green or eating organic veggies. You don’t get stamina from busting your arse at the gym, doing hours of training or anything like that. You get stamina from Burst Training and it takes 3 minutes a day or every second day.!
!
It’s the new science. Look it up on the web. The Youtube - “the Truth about Exercise” is a great place to start. Your body needs to know how to deal with high intensity life or you will start gravitating to things that don't challenge you and that’s the start of the worst fight with nature you could ever curse yourself with.!
!
Burst training is a nature based stamina building process. First and foremost - unless you live in North Canada some icebound part of the planet, rain, hail or shine, you do your three minutes of Burst, 3-4 times a week, outdoors. DO NOT GO TO AN INDOOR GYM UNLESS THE WEATHER IS FREEZE ASS COLD.!

Burst training gets your heart rate pumping, blood rushing, brain confused, blood pressure rising, cardio thumping. We called this “burst training” because while you are doing it, you think you are going to burst.!
!
And that is what we mean when we say “build self respect.” You respect yourself enough to build a bulletproof connection to your own energy. It’s not the push-ups that make your breasts/pecs look bigger or smaller or sit ups that make your abs stand out, that’s all fine. Burst training is about BulletProof Connection to You and Nature. !

This is the first step - Before food and diet and creams and massages, we need to connect. We connect physically by strengthening the cardio stamina of our system so we can carry more of the energy nature intended for us. Food comes later because if your body is so slothed out, full of goop, sluggish and lacking stamina, all the healthy stuff in the world is just going in one orifice and out the other. You really want to absorb, nourish and store the gift of nature’s energy and guess what? It depends on your Stamina.!
!
Why you ask? Well nerves carry energy around your body. A slothed out body may be huge in size but the nervous currents travelling around the body are weak. In contrast, a person might become phobic about their looks or size and become almost anorexic by eating fruit alone. If you stand beside them they have the energy of a sheet of paper. Personal energy depends on stamina because stamina not only builds energy in the body but stores it too. This is a powerful insight for you. Distill all the teachings around wellbeing to stamina. The ability to absorb, generate, and store nature’s energy.!

The more sloth we do the most we leak energy. Sitting bad, standing bad, walking bad, talking bad are not illegal. They are actually stupid waste of energy. Then, when all the energy is gone the person will look for substitutes, like food, grog, pills, and Qigong. !
!
If you have stamina you have what most of those Chinese people standing on street corners at 5.00am waving their arms around are hoping to capture. You’ve got what those western yogi’s and tai chi people are working their ass of for. You got energy, life force, prana, qui, and miracle of all miracles, it’s really the only way to build and store that energy.!
!
Don’t mistake burst training for exercise or sport. That stuff has its place. Burst training is about you getting out of the way, early in the morning and plugging your body into the universe. Yup, running up and down on the spot, red faced, heart bursting out of your chest, blood pumping, huffing and puffing for 30 seconds times 6 is the ultimate Stamina building, life force generating martial art. And no books, machines, teachers, gym membership, coach, needed. !

Is it safe? Well, i put it to you like this. If you are going to die doing burst training then you are going to die anyway. So don’t blame the process. If you are nervous about your blood pressure or heart exploding, then do the burst like this. Set aside the same 20 minutes we all do, then do one 30 second burst, and measure your heart rate (fingers to the neck pulse is best). Wait now until your heart rate gets back to less than 80BPM (assumes standing still HR of 72 or less) … you might only get one burst done in 20 min. That’s ok. !
!
For the rest of us, you burst for 30 seconds and wait for your pulse to get under 100BPM and then go again. This can mean 3 or 4 bursts in 20 min at first but soon you’ll be doing 6 bursts easy.!

Bulletproof connection of your body to nature is best built by burst training. It used to be natural, burst training was just a part of everyday life. It wasn’t called burst training, it was called living and people enjoyed it. Like my grandma who, at 90 still loved to chop wood and carry water. Once, upon a time, we’d walk down to the wood heap, chop the crap out of some logs, carry it home and build a fire. There, six burst training sessions 30 seconds long with recovery in between. No rush, just work and rest, and in nature, just getting the fire going for cooking. Compare that to my client whose most challenging daily exercise before I met him was opening the car door. His energy was toxic even though his bank account was full. After 30 days everyone was noticing the shift, both in his appearance and in his energy. More importantly, he did too.!
!
So, he just did six by 30 second max cardio efforts, driving his heart rate to almost MAX and then he allowed the time for recovery to below 100BPM. In the recovery time he went to the toilet, drink tea, had sex, made breakfast, did some yoga, mediated, wrote emails, spoke on the phone and whatever. See how easy it can be?!
!
I love playing with recovery skills. I just do some recovery skills to actively control and bring my heart rate down faster. Some breathing techniques, postural stuff. So, I get 30 seconds of max effort (145 - 150 BPM for me) separated by 5 breaks of reduced HR to 100 done in 10 minutes. followed by a 10 minute corpse sleep (ooops I mean lying down meditation).!
!
There’s a limit to how much you can do in a day. But the 30 second times 6 bursts is a no brainer, no option start to the day. Brings stamina up quick, raises your metabolism, improves your mind, increases the length of your life and makes you better in bed… enough benefits yet?!
!
You can run on the spot, jump on a standing bike, sprint up a hill, rip over the sand, but please, don’t re-invent the wheel. Push ups, chin ups, sit ups, or fluff ups - done fast, are not burst training.!
!
Eat For Self Respect You are not what you eat. But what you eat is certainly the single most vulnerable variable in the quality of your life. Nothing comes close to being of more influence in: How you think, feel, emote, hope, depress, inspire, lead, love, touch others, do right or wrong, be wise or dumb. !
!
You can, if you choose, skip most exercise, not play sport, think like an idiot and not have any connection to a power greater than you (your purpose), but if you eat like a frog, you'll feel like a frog. !
!
The single most nutritionally important meal of the day is breakfast. A few days back I posted my two favourite breakfasts. I don't vary those two breakfasts. You will not hear

me say "I'm sick of those breakfasts" I have both of them everyday. Yes, both. I have the smoothie as soon as I finish my burst training and the eggs later, mostly mid morning. !
!
But the single most important disciplined meal to have is dinner. If you eat after 7.00pm then you are unwise to go to bed before 12. and if you are going to bed at 12 how can you get up at or before sunrise to do your Innerwealth inspired day routine? You can't - no sustainably. And then everything goes to crap.!
!
So, the evening meal? Stay away from anything that contains: Carbohydrate, sugar (its a carb), fruit (it's a carb) red meat, eggs, poultry, caffeine, gluten, alcohol (one red wine is ok), and there's a bunch more don't eats. The generic principle is eat nothing after 7.00pm and if you're really cool, nothing after 6.00pm. My evening snack is avocado on rice cakes, or goats cheese on rice cakes or a small amount of smoked salmon with avocado on a gluten free water cracker. When I break this routine, I pay dearly the next morning....!

Waking up inspired is not option. It's a matter of self-respect. you owe it to yourself. You owe it to whatever created you. !
!
You need to wake up and bounce out of bed, busting to get started on the day. But if you wake up and don't bounce out of bed you are dying young, killing yourself mentally, physically, emotionally and worse still, spiritually. It's this last one people seem to forget. A man or woman with a vision, a dream a real sense of purpose just can't wait to get out of bed in the morning, they are unstoppable and the Innerwealth great day routine becomes automatic. But a person whose lost their mojo, who is using substitutes for energy instead of the natural vitality of spiritual vision, inspiration and purpose, they are just temporarily engaged in a game that's going to cost them dearly.!

Sustainability is the word. If your mornings are sustainably inspired then you have nothing to fear. Your day will not be filled with delusion. You start with your Innerwealth practice and your day will be authentic and "shit might happen" but you'll be mindful and authentic enough to deal with it in the most beautiful and non reactive, inspired way.!

So, a commitment to a great morning starts with a commitment to a great night. And a great night means eating at the right time in the day (Breakfast for nutrition, lunch for fun, dinner for release), proper preparation before sleep (Innerwealth deep sleep programme) and environment (making the space perfect for your night when your angels come out to play)!

Fat people quite often simply lack self-respect. They don’t have an eating problem, they have a self-respect problem. What use is a mind, a spirit, money and love without a body to house it? Fat people are dying young, committing suicide slowly, even faster than smokers. So, self-respect starts with thin (below 20% body fat). !

Breakfast is the Most Important Meal of the Day
! During the 30 day challenge all clients go on a SLOW CARB diet and it's often a real challenge for breakfast as it is undoubtedly one of the main culprits when it comes to poor diet. Ironically it is the one meal that people are most resistant to change and often they are horrified when I ask them to consider a healthier alternative. “If I can’t have toast and cereal for breakfast what will I eat?” They are always pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to whip up a quick healthy breakfast and often these small changes in diet are the ones that they continue on with over the years which makes a significant impact to long term health.!

In my local cafe, scrambled eggs with spinach and without toast costs $9.00 while a gluten filled "healthy" muffin is $4.50 - one is food the other is simply "packing."!

In other cultures breakfast is a proper balanced meal, not something that you bolt down from a cardboard box before you run out the door in the morning. The traditional Asian culture often have a quick stir fried breakfast of vegetables and eggs, whereas some European cultures enjoy a selection of meat, cheese and fish.!

The poorest places on earth, where self-respect is at an all time low, eat the most carbohydrate - so shit food goes hand in hand with shit attitudes. We can change both ….!
!
I often see people struggling to come up with easy, fast, healthy breakfasts, so here’s my top 2 kick-start breakfasts. Scrambled Eggs with Kale and My "The High Protein Breakfast of Champions" - the smoothie of all smoothies. (like me)!

Most commercial breakfast cereals are full of sugar and while that may give you a quick pick-me-up in the morning it doesn’t sustain your energy and it's disgustingly fattening. I am always disappointed with our Western fixation on toast and cereal for breakfast. Our over consumption of wheat and dairy in this country undoubtedly contributes to absenteeism, mental health problems and emotional un-groundedness.!

Plus, that breakfast of cereal and toast and or fruit demands another quick fix to prop up flagging energy levels by morning tea. This can ultimately lead to wild fluctuations in energy and blood sugar levels throughout the day and ultimately contributes to weight gain and fatigue.!

Here’s my top two suggestions to kick start your day, that are quick, tasty and packed with nutrients to keep you going throughout the day and benefit your health!

Add a hand full of berries such as blue berries and strawberries and blitz with a stick blender! Drink it sitting in nature or, if you are in a rush, as your heading out the door.!

The whole process should take you less time that it takes to toast bread in the morning and is guaranteed to help you power through your day, providing you with protein, fibre, valuable nutrients and essential fatty acids to give you the energy you need to get through your day.!

This protein packed breakfast is high in nutrients and will keep you full until lunch time. It is ideal for those people who want to lose a few kilos and get rid of the dreaded muffin top.!

(for those with too much time on their hands - chop up a selection of your favorite vegetables, including capsicum, mushrooms, onion, asparagus and zucchini into small pieces to speed cooking time. The more vegetables you have in your diet the better so be generous. I generally do this the night before while I’m cooking dinner and keep in the fridge over night.)!

In the morning put a small amount on olive oil in a pan and set on a low – medium heat. Add your vegetables and stir occasionally as you are getting ready for work. !
!
When vegetables are cooked through toss in a hand full of baby spinach leaves (kale is my favourite) and once they have started to wilt crack in two fresh eggs – organic and free range are definitely the best.!
!
Stir through until eggs have scrambled, sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh ground black pepper and enjoy!
! For another variation of this dish you could add tofu! !
* Note there is no need to have toast with this breakfast as there are low glycemic index carbohydrates in the vegetables to provide nutrients and energy.!

Yoga And Meditation I love yoga and I do it daily for five minutes and once or twice a week for longer. I do yoga on the bus, train, taxi, at my desk, in a lift, on the dunny, when I’m walking and talking. I used to do Yoga in a class but I rather live yoga that do it. Standing tall, walking balanced, sitting upright, moving well, stretching my hammies, doing a twist. Mate, I don’t have to wait till I’m in some expensive yoga room wearing my see through lycra tights to do a twist, I can be twisted all day if I want, free.!

My meditation is life. The ultimate end of meditation is gratitude. If you can do gratitude and turn up, you are meditating. I don’t have hours and hours to bruise my butt sitting waiting for something, or nothing to happen. I can do that in a taxi, bus, train, or at my office chair like right now while I am typing this. I am in the “zone” thankful and inspired - full turned up.!

Body Mind Spirit Bulletproof connection is the root of non intellectual spirituality. So, even your spirituality starts with your body .. it’s not Mind Body then Spirit… is it? It’s Body, Mind and then Spirit. Your body is the dumbest of the three. It seeks pleasure and avoids pain even when pain might mean achieving something good, your body is trained and conditioned to run away from pain and seek pleasure. That’s why the “hippies” end up with nothing. They follow the “pleasure trail” and end up in pain. It’s really pretty simple really… there is no pleasure without a pain, but because your body is dumb it doesn’t know that. And there’s nothing you can do to stop your body hunting for that imbalanced state. All you can do is smile at your habits and say “ahh there’s that body of mine wanting to head off on another illusion, a tangent.” You don’t have to surrender to your body. !

Some fat people think they are going to die if they don’t eat. No, they could survive for months on their fat. But their blood sugar can’t survive on fat. So, the old idea of not eating, starving in order to lose weight is a real bummer. To lose weight we need to feel the body not what it wants but what it needs and there’s the big winner here. Give your body what it needs not what it wants. You be the judge. !

In the slow carb diet there’s plenty of tucker. Lots to eat, but it’s not crud. And there is the big shift. The body of a fat person is hooked on crud, and that’s therefore what it wants but the body of a healthy person is hooked on food, and that’s what it needs. Do you know the difference between food and crud?! Crud is most dairy.! Crud is all white flour!

! Sleep is easy when you treat yourself with self-respect. The pillow is such a welcome sight. ! ! !
! A bulletproof connection to nature comes through your body, not your mind. So there are some areas of life that you need to stay Neanderthal about. I mean we know there’s no need to live in GOT TO like our cave dwelling ancestors because we’ve evolved to a better mindset than that. But when it comes to energy, the best energy source is absolutely PRIMAL. !

Nature is still the governor of your energy. Energy comes to you RAW. It comes in sunlight, real food (not crud), earth, air and water. ! "Ok, I'll do it when I get home tonight."! ! Those were the last words her family heard from her... the accident was, at least, quick.! ! In the morning it is a once in a daytime, (and for the lady above one last chance in her lifetime) chance to be in touch with our deeper gratitude, connect to those we love, be present in nature and build a more powerful personal presence - Your Innerwealth. !

Once the day has begun it is more and more difficult to find that connection within yourself and with your energy source.!

It's also important because it helps you to establish the ground rules for the night before. If you are destined to wake really early and want to have clarity, then the routine at night becomes incredibly simple: don't eat, early bed, clear your heart, sleep deep.!

Deeper Space - Your Innerwealth through Nature
! There comes a time when you realise that life without some sort of spirituality is mundane. For me, the idea of going to work without getting out in nature and exercising my body, mind and heart is abhorrent. It would be like presenting my less than best self to

the world. The time to do your spiritual practice is in the morning, before or at sunrise. It is best to do it outdoor. During the day, if you want to check whether you have become all ugly and horrible to yourself and others just step outside the office and see if you can appreciate nature. If the beauty of a leaf, a flower or an old wise tree has gone from your view, so have you.!

At the end of your day, a day achieving a lot but driven by desperation, reaction or heartless logic will not be rewarding, at any level, least of all to your family.!
! We are not interested in a morning hit and a day of mundane: are we?! !
I have met thousands of “spiritual” westerners.. they drive me nuts. They get into a group and chant and call it spiritual, or read the Bhagavadgita or the Bible and sprout the words but rarely integrate it into their relationships or work or family. It’s like a separate thing. What sort of nonsense is that/!
!
You get outside in the morning and throw your statues in the river and then go swimming or hug a tree or touch a leaf, witness the beauty and you are being the saint, the enlightened one, the mystic. Don’t worry about all the rest. A grateful heart in a body that’s connected to its PRIMAL energy source, nature, is as good as it gets. I promise, I’ve done it and seen it. There is no greater reality than the primal reality of nature.!

You don’t have to dress up or stand in a special way or be looking for universal energy. The warmth is Love. You don’t need buildings, temples or Yoga rooms - the tree is your guru, the Buddha is in everything so, God is light, so simply stop, breathe, open your arms and let it in. You can do this all day when you eat with reverence, touch with respect, be thankful for nature and you are then refilling the fuel tanks all day. You are not separate. You are not separate from other people or from the guru, nor from nature. You are permanently plugged into the power socket. It just takes a bit of mindfulness. !

We walk in the mountains and people talk and talk about anything that’s not right where we are. They’ll compare the tree to a tree they once met, they’ll worry about their shares, the kids, their sleep for tonight. Goodness, one person was so worried about getting altitude sickness they actually got sick. That’s what we can do, we can disconnect from the power source by being in our body in one place and our head is in another place.!

Mindfulness simply means being in your body in the same place that your head is at. If you are standing on an elevator be on the elevator, talk about the view from the elevator, feel the elevator, smell the elevator. If you are at dinner with a friend or lover talk about them, their values, what they love, what they feel, how they look, what you eat, what you like and how they smell and how nice the table is. The more you drill down to celebrate being where you are the more energy you tap into.!

If you are going for a run or a swim in the morning be there. Don’t be thinking about Christmas at Easter. Or worried about tonight’s flight. Be in the run, be in the swim, feel it, touch it, smell it, hear it. The more you experience the NOW in the event the more energy you’ll gain from it.!
!
Like when you stand in the morning on some place to see the sunrise. Stand bare foot and feel the earth the energy of the earth. Come on, you can be that subtle I know it. Feel the heat from the sun, that’s love and light and good energy pouring into the crown of your head and the depth of your heart, going down your body meeting the energy coming up from the earth right in your belly. You can smell the sunrise, smell the earth, see the light and the beauty. Hear it at all levels.!

We are the good and the bad we see. We are nature and in the morning, cripes for just ten minutes go roll around on the grass with the dog, or take your shoes off on the sand. Connect, feel the Sun, celebrate the love that is YOUR PRIMAL ENERGY SOURCE.!

Watch the Substitutes
! Then, during the day, recognise the substitutes. When your connection to your primal energy starts to fizzle, recognise that you and all of us grab for substitutes: Food (especially CRUD), greed (holding on, no flexibility), Sex (plumbing the bottom of the

harbour for a connection to anything) and spirituality (trying to escape reality by defining spirituality as anything but what you are living right in this moment of time and life).!

During the day If you start to feel burnt out during the day, get some Sun, Get a few Z’sss. Eat some primal food, enjoy the real world and recognise that those fluro tubes, the fake chats at work and the masks we wear to protect ourselves in busy cities are not real, they are just the essential masks we wear for life in public. !
!
Get to a flower, hold a rock, take your shoes and sox off under the desk, look out the window, be in awe. Touch a leaf. All these things and more will become your primal energy source and you can let go of the synthetic substitutes that might be costing you your relationship, health, longevity and heart.!
!
During the day drink water that is clean and pure from a beautiful glass sitting on your desk. Be mindful of the benefits of this water to your system. Acknowledges the minerals and the health benefits and the sunlight that is been absorbed by the water. If you eat it mindfully considering the nourishment that has come from the food. Avoid crud, and food that has been processed and denatured. Anything that’s been heated above boiling point is usually ruined nutritionally. Food that is been frozen or packed in plastic has lost its vitality and although it may taste and feel nourishing the energy has gone. This is what we mean when we say get back to nature. It’s not about being a “greenie" or choosing expensive organic food it’s about really valuing the process of eating, selecting, and digesting nutritious food, mindfully.!

So, before you begin eating anything take a moment to be thankful for it. Consider its journey to your plate. Consider the sunlight that has gone into creating that product whether it be a fish or an apple. Consider the nourishment that is in the food before you bite into it and swallow it down. This is genuine mindfulness and it is an way to reconnect to nature during your day to refuel your energy tanks with vitality. It is a way of guaranteeing that you guard from work with more energy than you came to work with in the morning.!

You need to break corporate cycle of running an eating mindlessly. People have business lunches during which they talk and eat and at the end of the meal they would hardly know what has gone down their throat. So it’s important that you break this cycle. Even if it is a business meeting over lunch you can still stop and value and appreciate what is about to go down your mouth just for a few seconds consider the nourishment and the journey that this food has taken from the sun to your mouth. This is a powerful way to reconnect with nature even in the midst of a busy city. A!

STEP 3: EMOTIONAL POWER TURNING UP 110% ! What impacts your morning more than anything else? ! ! Yes, that’s right … YESTERDAY! ! You yesterday, the food you ate, the decisions you made, the emotions you carried, the reactions you had the love you lost, the self respect you forgot to own: all of these and more create today’s waking moment.!
! A person who had a great yesterday just can’t wait to jump out of bed in the morning. ! ! So lets go through the things you can do yesterday (which is today for tomorrow) that almost guarantee you’ll spiring out of bed, busting to get started on the day.!
! !
1. First and Foremost…. Your Emotional State of Mind when you go to bed impacts tomorrow more than any other variable.
! Anything you can’t be thankful for, before you go to bed, you need a process and get over it. If you are elated (hey, look at me, no hands) or depressed (boo hoo, poor me) you are definitely not grateful. !
!
But rather than leave your processing to the night before bed, you’re even smarter if you process stuff during the day when it happens. All emotions we have during the day can multiply. They are like bottom feeding fish, they eat anything and therefore, if you’re feeling angry, there will be plenty of fuel to feed it as the day goes on. So, process before bed if there’s any remaining unfinished business but process when it happens will save you time and a lot of arguments.!

Let me explain why: In nature, you will get balanced. You’ll get support and challenge. No matter how beautiful the place, there’s always something, some nature based challenge to just sitting there minding your own business. Whether it’s flies, snakes, altitude, cold, a tummy bug, your hair falling out, slipper paths, or annoying fellow hikers… something grounds us. We get a balance even if we don’t want it.!

But when we live in urban jungles, we can live in our head, separate from nature and this is a really dangerous place to live. There are more crocodiles in our head than in the bush. For example: you might be at work and think, “wow, how clever am I today. What a bloody genius I am. How amazing am I? I am a real life, full time, fire breathing, hero.” So, with you head swelled up like a Halloween Pumpkin, you buy some Champaign and head home to celebrate. You walk in the door and all hell breaks loose. Your partner feels bad, the kids are over hyped, and you are knocked down to size. It’s not the fault of the household, it’s the fact that you’ve come home out of balance and the family are doing what nature intends, balancing your swollen head. !
!
Everyday in our life nature brings a perfect balance of support and challenge. When we are neanderthal, we want support and try to cut challenge. That’s why many people are single for life. They want to cut challenge out. Unfortunately if challenge doesn’t come in the form or work or partner, it comes in health and or other areas. We can’t eliminate challenge, just shift it.!
!
Grateful means you appreciate people, places and things - supporting and challenging you. How do you know if you a grateful? Well if it passes the “pay it forward test” you’ve really thankful….!
!
Pay it forward means you’d happily give the person or person’s you love most, the gift of whatever has challenged you. For example: you miss the bus… are you thankful? Well in theory yes, but would you wish this on your children? That’s real appreciation and way beyond the Oprah version… see how you go doing it.!
!
Make today Your Perfect Day In the Back to Nature programme I ask people to write down the details of their perfect day. After a few days of doing this I ask “why is your perfect day not today?” So, instead of walking the streets of Paris shopping with a lover, what about make today your perfect day? What’s in the way? Well we often lack appreciation for what’s happening today and see walking in Paris as an all good - all support - no challenge day, which of course, can’t exist except in our imagination.!

Lets just say today is your perfect day so you don’t want anything to go wrong. Today can be made perfect but you will need to do some mental gymnastics. You need to know how to “re-frame” whatever happens to you so that the challenges you didn’t plan, don’t screw

with your headspace, close your heart and turn the day to mud. That sort of vulnerability is unacceptable if you are planning to live life on purpose.!

Things do go wrong on your perfect day but you can, with practice, spin those negative situations into thankful ones.!

For example: say you get fired from your job. You can be all boo hoo but that’s not going to allow you to have your perfect day is it? Or you can try to find the positive in that negative, like, wow, new beginnings, or “nobody does to me more than I do to myself” meaning “I fired myself long before they did” - there’s a million ways to reframe. Some people even use religion, “it’s what God wanted” and that’s perfect. Any reframe that keeps you thankful is a great reframe. Because thankfulness builds your life and unthankfulness destroys it. You really do get a choice.!

This process, we call an emotional shower. If something is making you judgemental or critical or down or angry or frustrated there’s an opportunity to sort it and expand your mind.!
!
Unprocessed stuff is the primary reason why people get stuck in their life. They have a hard punch in the guts and they just can’t process it. And all the therapy and self-help guff on earth is at best a 50/50 chance of nailing it over an extended period of time.!
! ! Ask yourself today, what am I thankful for? Ask yourself again in seven weeks. ! ! A massive transformation can take place in this dimension of your life just by a commitment to being thankful for whatever gets sent your way.!

Did you know that thankfulness is tied to immune strength? Ironic that, such an important measure of our life should be tied to our survival in it.!

Daily Emotional Shower If you worked in a poo farm, you’d shower before you came home, right?!
! Well, in some ways you do work in a poo farm.! !
You get covered in everybody’s energy at work, either in meetings, phone calls, papers, emails, leaders, followers, and more. And each of those people has a mark they leave on you.!
!
If you take that stuff home, you’re going to end up dealing with family matters that you just can’t understand. Well, understand now. It’s your forgetfulness to take a shower between work and home.!
!
Don’t think, just because you don’t recognise where the cockroach has been, or the fly has landed, that the germs are not there. Everybody in the workplace has “stuff” either from home or work, and they just love to deposit it on “naive” recipients. Poop, it’s yours now.!
! You also have poop you drop. So you can do some dry cleaning before you get home.! !
Your Work to Home Shower is at first a written exercise (do it for 30 days on paper) and then it will become an automatic mental habit. I suggest that those who drive home need to stop and run through the emotional shower before they hit the front door. It goes something like this:!

The emotional shower needs soap, 15 minutes and honesty.!

Soap - the four column process.! 15 minutes! Integrity to do it constantly!

Background
! If you walk in the door of your house, either praising yourself, or beating yourself up about the day gone past, you carry with you toxins that will cause your family to respond. !

If your family responds to your unfinished business, they either bring you down off your high horse, or cuddle you to put you back up if you’ve fallen.!
!

! For example, one lady used to come home complaining about work. Her partner would feel sorry for her and care. She knew how to get his attention. She also knew that if she came home inspired, he’d flip out, become insecure and ignore her. She didn’t know how to take an emotional shower so that those games could stop.!

Another guy went around telling everyone how wonderful things were. He thought he was fooling everyone at home. When the police turned up with one of the kids under arrest for street crime, he was shocked to find out how angry his family was about his “bluff.” There was no family trust.!
!
So, the importance of an Emotional Shower is unmistakable. It breeds romance, trust, authenticity, calm, creativity and friendship in a home. An authentic dynamic in a family home starts with an authentic parent coming home and turning up.!
!
Turning up - The Result of an Emotional Shower
! Emotions - the feelings that people use to communicate.! ! Love - The opposite to all emotion! ! Emotions come from imbalanced thoughts. Most people live their life based on their emotions and the feelings those emotions generate. To that end emotions are authentic feedback loops showing where we are stuck - separated from nature - in life.!
! To turn up, you must balance the thoughts behind the emotions.! ! ! Emotional Balance
! Say, you think something is good. Is it good, or is it an emotion?! ! It is an emotion.! ! Good does exist. But never in isolation. Bad is always attached to it.! ! To the emotionally driven person if it looks good, tastes good, feels good and smells good, then it is good. They are not in control of their emotions, their emotions control them.!

Say you are at dinner with you new partner and they take a call from their ex-husband. The ex-husband starts to be critical. Your new partner gets upset. You get left sitting like a

shag on a rock at the table. Food arrives, it goes cold and so does your night. What happened?!

Well for a start, the ex-partner was balancing the elation of your dinner date. She was elated (support) and he (the ex) balanced it with challenge. So, your dinner date, with or without the phone call didn’t turn up. They were excited, elated, over the moon, which is a sure fire guarantee that they would, in their private times, be depressed. (elations breed depressions).!
!
But what about You. Are you pissed off? If so, you are part of the emotional game too. You being pissed off at your date sends a message to nature to send some support to her and that might come in the form of the ex changing his mood or, your dinner date’s child on the other line.!
!
You can see that emotional life is really confusing. We think we are functioning in isolation but every single blade of grass in the world is a part of something bigger than itself and nature seeks balance in everything. !
!
If you seek support without challenge you’ll meet the wrong partner, if you seek love without support or challenge you’ll be alone. That person who is managing their mind and heart based on emotions and feelings will always be running around fighting to escape the bad, find the good. !
!
I am one of those people. I am a real pleasure hunter and that’s why I find the emotional shower such a gift. If I’m uncertain, pissed off, confused, lost, I just grab a piece of paper and away I go. A few minutes later … I’m grounded, grateful and my heart is open again.!

When you have that commitment not to make trouble for yourself you take responsibility for your reactions. You know that emotions are unavoidable. You know that feelings and emotions make great stories but you are super aware that reacting or acting on emotion is surely going to make trouble for your life.!
!
If it looks good, tastes good, feels good and smells good, it’s good and bad. Out in nature you know that emotion (good without bad, or bad without good) cannot exist. Emotion, therefore is a trick of our unconsciousness. Not authentic, highly complex and totally distracting.!
!
A highly emotionally driven person looks local. If, in this moment something looks good, tastes good, feels good and smells good, it’s good. They don’t have the perspective or insight to see that the impact of the POSITIVE NOW perception might have a negative impact in the future, or a negative impact somewhere else in life. Like we all get when we’ve had one glass of wine and promised not to have another. Once the first glass is in our head, the second one looks more attractive.!

An emotional shower, Balances Emotion by throwing the positive against the negative, or the negative against the positive and as a result, finding nature. It relaxes you and softens your mind. The ultimate result is that you turn up 110% wherever you are. Not in the past or the future, not fearful or guilty.!
! A balanced mind is an inspired mind.! !
So, the Emotional Shower is not eliminating emotions...It requires that you feel things, smell things, taste things.... by feeling and knowing your emotional condition you can be self aware and know what you are reacting to. The key, however, is NEVER, EVER act on them. Instead, use the energy wisely.!

Emotions are “energy in motions” the more emotion, the more energy you lose. Some people go to work and just sit at a desk and come home exhausted. This is the cost of emotion. You can even sit, alone, in a room and come out exhausted because emotions use energy. Here’s how to turn “Energy in Motion” into Inspiration and Mojo.!

! Stop everything you are doing. Remove yourself from interruptions.! ! Take a note pad.! ! Make four columns! ! First column list all the great things you achieved - did today! Third column list all the things you half did, or didn’t do well today!

Ok, balance these: In column two list what was bad about what you did good. And in column four list what was good about what you did bad. It’s amazing. That’s how nature thinks … support and challenge are in perfect balance.!

There are two ways I can tell the following story; one is to be victim and the other is not. The victim story is far more entertaining. It would go like this: “I have had my heart broken many times in my life. In these times I have felt like I would never love again. I have gone to the depths of despair searching for solace.” The other way I could tell the story would be like this “many times in my life I have outgrown relationships but I haven’t known how to move on. I became more and more unthankful for the relationship I was in, driving my partner away with ingratitude, until it was over. Then I remained unthankful for a long period of time, searching for solace.”!

one of those two stories stinks. The other is less entertaining. One of those two stories I can do something about the other one I’m a victim and can’t.!
!
The bottom line for all of these things in life is that thankfulness builds us and on thankfulness destroys us. If you have an unthankful day you can be guaranteed that tomorrow morning you wake up feeling like crap. If you have and unthankful week it can be guaranteed that you will wake up for the rest of the month feeling like crap. Unthankfulness is the cause of all mental unrest. If you can find a way to fix this problem you can find a way to live inspired.!

So what is unthankfulness and how do we deal with it?
! To explain this, we need a little background.! ! There are three things people cannot live without:! ! Someone to love! Something to do! Something to look forward to!
!
When anyone of these is missing or is challenged, we are unthankful. It’s simple. Now, even if our observation of the challenge is inappropriate or incorrect we still feel unthankful.!
!
Let’s say for example my relationship breaks up and I feel like I have no one to love and nothing to look forward to. That's how I feel so I feel unthankful. But is it the truth? Do I have no one to love and is there nothing to look forward to? Obviously not. I do have someone to love and I do have lots to look forward to I just can’t see it at that moment because I’m overwhelmed and ungrounded.!
!
If I ground myself I will see that there is someone to love, myself, others and my future partner. I will also see there is lots to look forward to an even though I may have had a lot of energy invested in that relationship, I am not a victim, and that relationship had to break up in order for me to live the life that I was meant to live. So there’s lots to look forward to.!
! The minute I get that understanding I am thankful that my relationship broke up.! !
So, in ancient Eastern teachings they would say that time was a great healer. The reason they say this is that after a period of time you will become thankful no matter what the circumstance. And thankfulness is healing. But do you want to wait a long time to get thankful?!
!
One un-thankful day can ruin the next day. One un-thankful week can ruin the next month. One un-thankful month can ruin a whole year. Do you really want to wait a long time to get thankful?!
!
What stops us from getting thankful? The answer is ourselves. We become frightened and we therefore grasp for the only thing we know and that is, what we already have. But if we could trust the unknown, trust nature, trust ourselves then letting go and being thankful would be easy. We would know that the end of one thing is the beginning of another. We would know that in nature nothing is ever missing and so a new relationship will be on our doorstep very quickly. We will know that it’s essential to let go when things

in nature have finished the use by date. Anything that blocks our gratitude blocks our energy. you will find an unthankful person to be a very exhausting person. Firstly they will be exhausting to themselves because it’s really unpleasant to have such an unthankful voice in our head. Second they will be exhausting to others because it’s really draining to be around an unthankful person.!
!
There was a time when people mistook positive thinking for thankful thinking. They are very similar however there’s one stark difference: positive thinking is only thankful for the positive where is thankful thinking is thankful for both negative and positive experience. In nature positive and negative experience are always balanced and therefore if we always try to use positive thinking 50% of our thoughts will be unthankful because they will be negative there is no choice about this. Thankful thinking therefore means even the negative things have something to be thankful for. The ending of a relationship is one such example. But there are many others.!
!
Someone to Love It might be astonishing to find out that you can’t give what you haven’t got. And therefore there is no hope in hell of finding someone to love you more than you love yourself. What gets in the way of loving yourself is being unthankful for who you are as you are. So even thankfulness towards yourself can be a major boost to your relationship and ultimately toward having a great day today.!
!
So, I hope the first suggestion in your Innerwealth morning routine is to really help you recognise that the “Someone to Love”starts with you. Because if your heart has closed and your head is unthankful, so will others be toward you. People become as you treat them so, the place to start is to treat yourself with thankfulness. Stop trying to change you.!
!
That means to give yourself, self-respect. Give yourself permission to be thankful for being you during the day. Commit to picking up your daily energy pack from nature in the morning and preserving it throughout the day by staying thankful. Unthankful sucks energy while thankful stores and builds on it. !
!
Something to Do It’s not just something to do that is important. it’s something to do that you love to do that important. But we don’t want to put the power into the hands of the activity. For example if you say I hate my job it’s not the jobs problem.!
!
If you say I hate anything it's not the anything that has the problem it’s your attitude and you can change your attitude any time you want. An attitude of gratitude is your choice.!
!
When my colleague interviews people she looks at their resume and then asks them to do what they say they can do from their resume. If they say they can design a bridge she

gives them a pen, a paper and a computer and a fictitious gap in the office and says “go for it.” The fact is they can do the design, the only questions are: how long will it take and will it work?” But there’s a hidden question: she’s watching to see if they love doing it. If they get all stressed and worried, then it’s goodbye. Attitude comes before aptitude.!
!
If you can say to yourself that you are in the perfect place right now no matter where that place is then you will be able to find a way to be thankful for where you are rather than to be moaning and groaning about how hard life is and how you wish it were different and how the seminar could change things and how you need to have a break. That is so boring and ungrateful, it’s soul destroying.!
!
To take a walk in the high Himalayas takes six months preparation. The walk itself is only a few days but the amount of effort that goes into being ready is extraordinary. If I love walking in the Himalayas I also need to love preparation otherwise I will have six months of un-thankfulness and 14 days of recovery. That's ridiculous. But it’s no more ridiculous than the idea of working in 11 months a year in order to gain four weeks holiday in order to do something you are thankful for. That’s like waking up every morning for 11 months feeling tired and struggling to get out of bed so that for one month you can go somewhere and sleep-in and recover.Which is no different to working five days struggling to get out of bed so that for two days on the weekend you can sleep in and recover.!

Stinking thinking or an attitude of gratitude? What we are not thankful for, we breed, attract or become.!
!
So, thankfulness is a buoyancy of life that taps into the human power source, our natural reserves of energy and brings them to the surface. A deliciously sexy and magnetic person might look completely different to what we expected but they will certainly be hugely thankful. That’s the energy you want to create before you sleep at night. Thankful for your day, thankful for the day ahead. It’s the best bedtime prayer.!

There is no excuse. On thankfulness breeds sickness and disease, it unattractive and repelling, it causes us to over eat and under sleep, it ages us, destroys our self-confidence and almost guarantees trouble. So there is a crucial point in your life where you say to yourself “I am thankful” no matter what happens or does not happen to me.!
!
The Morning Gratitude Wheel Unlike the balance form, you can do this one in your head. At night as you put your head on the pillow and when you wake before you lift it off, do your gratitude practice. Some people call it meditation. Sit or lie in stillness and experience the graphic in your minds eye. The seven areas of life. Now, just go around the circle being thankful for everything you can think of in that area. If there is something you can’t be thankful for, like in my example there are a few great examples:!

! I was living in New York. It was December, our house in Australia had just burnt to the ground and was not highly insured. I had the flu. The World Trade Centre had been attacked some months earlier and our offices were being taken from us to house high rent paying companies who needed to relocate up to Soho. My children were living independently with their mother and my partner and I had agreed to go separate ways.!

I filled out this form. Truly feeling thankful… I had tears of gratitude streaming out the corners of my eyes (outside corners tears are inspired eye tears). In spite of what looked bad, I had never felt so thankful and fulfilled. !

THE FRIGHTENING POWER OF YOUR IMAGINATION !
Something to Look forward to I am not a therapist or a psychologist. I am a nature guy. I simply help people reconnect to nature. We have discussed two of the three ingredients that come from being connected to nature. The first was someone to love, the second was something to do, and the third is something to look forward to.!
!
99% of all clients struggles that I have worked with throughout 35 years come from this one single challenge. The challenge of not having something to look forward to.!
!
For the great majority of my clients this challenge comes about not because of failure but because of success. When we are young we have a dream and we live out the years of our youth and early 20s fulfilling that dream. One day we find ourselves on the doorstep of that dream. We have done more than we expected. We have achieved what we wanted. And now what?!
!
For some this is called a midlife crisis but my observation is that of midlife crisis starts anywhere between 25 and 55 years old. So it's not really midlife. But it is a turning point in our life. What drove us and motivated us to achieve things up to a certain point in our life evaporates. Suddenly the old ways of thinking make us feel tired. We feel exhausted trying to motivate ourselves based on the old gap between what we have and what we want. Slowly but surely we become unthankful and we start seeking stimulation.!

The opportunity in our life at this time is to expand our reach. To use the resources and opportunities that have been presented to us to this time in our life to expand our possibilities and include a humanitarian socially conscious aspect to our lives. In other words to find our life purpose. A purpose greater than ourselves.!
!
When a person has nothing to look forward to, whether this is caused by an incident that steals away some hope or dream that they had or whether it’s through fulfilment and success the result is identical, depression. tomorrow being better than today. It nature anything that stops growing gets recycled. And we are part of nature so when we are green we are growing when we are ripe we rot. Simply this means while we have an inspiring reason to get out of bed in the morning (this is not a relationship) we will be energised and vital and stay young at heart. !

You need to become awesome friends with your imagination.
! The fastest growing mind science on earth at present is Neuroplasticity. What’s the fundamental premise? If you can imagine it, you can create it. !
!
This works both good and bad. If you think it will go wrong it probably will. If you can imagine it happening it probably will. Neuroplasticity demonstrates that none of us is fixed with the brain we thought we had. We can change our mind and the skills to do this are in their modern infancy. !
!
There is no better demonstration of this science than the recent television documentary by Todd Sampson - Redesign My Brain : ABC TV … In one demonstration he throws darts at a dart board with his left (non throwing arm) and gets a score… then spends 30 days practicing throwing darts with his left arm, in his imagination. When he’s tested for the second time his score is vastly improved. Mind over matter.!

Imagination is the science of manifestation. The ancient yogi’s and mystics spent a lifetime mastering those imagination skills. You can do it overnight.!
!
At the University of Heartmath in Boulder Colorado, they put mind against machine, asking people to think movement and then observing silver strips in a vacuum tube actually move in response to the changed electrical field. The science is simply validating that what and how you think is not limited to what goes on inside your head. It impacts the world around you, extensively.!
!
To say that your imagination, when focussed on ever finer detail will be a vital piece of your success story is an understatement. If you can’t imagine it, you can’t create it. Simply incredible.!
!
I worked with a client who had lost his ability to imagine himself anywhere but where he is right now. He can’t even imagine tomorrow. This had made him incredibly anal retentive, emotionally vulnerable and unattractive to be around. His energy had become

heavy, stuck in the reality of now, and memories of the good old days. In a way, dark. Guilt blocks memory and imagination. We worked on his guilt issues and addressed his fears, and his imagination began to expand again. He was fighting nature and we simply got him back on track with nature using his imagination.!

Imagination is a muscle. if you don’t use it, you lose it.
! Your imagination is the foundation of your inspiration. First you must trust imagination, then you can trust, inspiration. !
!
Your imagination is highly vulnerable. People can squash your dreams, hopes and visions to the point where you just want to live in the now, dreamless. But that can be overcome.!
!
Firstly, it’s important to exercise your imagination every morning and night by placing in your mind pictures, sounds, scents, tastes and feelings you imagine having when a dream or vision manifests. Be intense in this imagination because rather than project yourself into the future you want to become so engaged in your imagination of the future that it feels like it is happening right now. In the use of imagination there is no separation between now and future. You actually expand the now to include the future.!
!
Imagination increases the probability of inspiration.
! When you can’t jump out of bed in the morning it’s because your dreams and imaginations are dead. Something killed your hopes and dreams and that’s really important to acknowledge. If you do something about that quickly there will be no side effects of that momentary loss. If it goes on for a month, you would be wise to get coaching. Imagination is how you access that bulletproof connection, that energy you stored from nature. You access your energy and bounce out of bed because your heart is engaged in life, not only your head.!
!
It’s easy to get trapped in our head. We can imagine all sorts of wild things in our head but that’s what makes the difference between real imagination and fantasy. One is from the heart and the other is from the head. You can feel the difference.!
!
Imagination from the heart is not filled with expletives and words. They are pictures, sometimes movies, we taste, touch, smell, see and hear the reality of a real imagination. Fantasies are, in contrast, words and emotional uppers, alone.!
! Sit quietly for a while and just listen to your body. Then follow these instructions:! ! 1. Sit still! 2. Turn your head up 45 degrees!

3. Turn your eyes up another 45 degrees! 4. Close your eye lids lightly but don’t close your eyes! 5. Begin inwardly reviewing your thank you wheel and add as many as possible! 6. When you start to feel at peace, simply invite a message from your imagination! 7. When pictures come, don’t question them. Write them down and then raise your eyes and remain open for more!
!
Don’t act on or think too much about all this.! What we’re trying to do is connect you to your inner guidance system.... It’s important and eventually, you’ll trust it more than any other source on earth.!
!
Now, gather pictures from the web or magazines that portray pieces of the pictures you saw in your mind’s eye. Create an Imagination Journal and write in it daily. Built your imagination muscle and remember to include all seven area of life in your imagination picture. !
! The more detail you create for your imaginations, the more the probability of success.! ! !

SELF-COACHING TELL ME WHAT I WANNA HEAR…
! Now you want to develop the habit of self belief. Everyday there’s a chance to pick up some news you don’t want to hear and start to believe it. Someone might call you a wanker or a loser and if your feet aren’t square on the ground when they say it, you might even start to believe it. Then it’s the end of you because now you are telling yourself something you don’t want/need to hear. Finally, you’ll believe it to be the only truth and then we’re really up against the wall.!
! All it is, is a process of coming alive. ! !
My friend was preparing for a Himalayan Mountain Expedition of major proportion 5,000km across the top of the Himalayas. First time ever… We were in her lounge making crocodile hats for her to sell at the Easter Show to raise more money. There were 15 of us stitching and glueing those hats when one guy said to my soon to be Himalayan Mountain

Expedition friend … “you know they don’t think you can survive for more than a few months at more than 4,000meters.” !

His comments were innocent. He was just trying to care. But she flew into a rage like a wild tiger and told him to get out of her house and take his negativity with him. She knew there were risks but if she gave those thoughts weight, she’d talk herself into disaster. She knew there were negatives, she was well researched and an experiences climber, explorer. His care, his echo of the negatives that were meant to be his care, were intended to sew into her mind the fears that were in his. She shut him down good.!
!
So, self talk, self coaching is vital. It’s firstly about what you choose to allow in from others. I’m not advocating the violent reaction my adventure friend had, but I am advocating that exact same disciplined awareness. You don’t need to have people sewing stupid ideas that will sew doubt in your mind. There needs to be a careful examination around this because people who sew doubt into your mind are not always ideal friends and companions (parents sometimes do this accidentally). !
!
But the second issue is what you allow in from you. If you don’t sew good, nourishing productive thoughts into your mind, your mind will turn to crud. If you mind turns to doubt and crud, you’ll eat crud, do crud, look like crud. You’ll ultimately behave like crud. You need to take this very seriously. The one thing that all Neuroplasticity agrees with is that what you sew in your mind becomes your reality. So, even if it seems like ridiculous at first, you need to surround yourself with a positive affirmative environment, including what’s in your noggin (head).!
!
Nobody can do to you more than you do to yourself so their fears and doubts will already be inside you. Don’t blame people for saying things you aren’t already thinking. But you can, in your way manage those thoughts. If you allow people to say things on the outside that bring to your dominant thoughts the things you are thinking on the inside then you’ll be getting guided down the wrong track.!
!
Don’t start treating yourself like a pin cushion that allows anyone to send darts your way. It’s not whether they are right or wrong, you know they are right, it’s just that you want to know there are two sides to you and everything you do but you want to focus on the positive. This is self-coaching.!
!
If someone thinks that you continually need to be told what’s wrong with you and what needs to be fixed about you or what could go wrong with what you do, it might be done in love but the result will be a terrible direction. You go in the direction of your dominant thought, so become vigilant, not in delusion, but in focus.!
!
You know there’s positive and negative about everyone and everything. But as we’ve mentioned people become as you treat them. You become as you treat you. Don’t blame

people. If you let people speak the negative about you, that’s your choice. They will stop if you ask them in the right way. They just think that saying what’s wrong is helpful.!

Let me explain: in business you succeed by finding out what’s wrong and fixing it. This is the process of continual innovation and refinement. You just look for what’s not working and improve. You innovate and create improvements. So that means, a great leader might be the perfect one to see where things are going wrong, where there are opportunities for change. They get rewarded for it. !
!
Now that same person comes home and does the same to their family. They might feel positive, like they do at work, for helping you or someone else by pointing out the opportunity to improve. They focus on the negative and think it’s love.!
!
All you need to do is to remind them that the reason two people come together is to make each other feel good. You don’t feel good being told what’s wrong. But, you can say that you do acknowledge that this skill in relation to their work is awesome. You are not being ironic, telling someone what’s wrong and what they keep pointing out about what’s wrong.!
!
You are just drawing lines in the sand to protect your thoughts, and to protect your intimacy. In the honeymoon of your romance did you tell your partner what was wrong or right about them? Well, if you want the honeymoon to last forever, keep doing it. Keep speaking about what’s great, rather than focus on what you don’t like. They already know what’s wrong with them. Nobody beats us up more than we do to ourselves. You can believe and trust that, it’s a law.!
!
More love, more energy, more vitality, more life, better decisions, better clarity, less drama, improved health, wealth and happiness.
! If you believe what you are saying to yourself about your future possibilities, then it isn’t coaching, it’s just repeating old beliefs. Coaching means lifting yourself above, and into the domain of the potential. That means you need to be coaching yourself to be something you don’t really know or believe. You just create the mind talk that it’s going to happen then worry about believing it later. !
!
Too often people are just stuck in tic-toc - like saying to themselves “I am a good parent” where “good” is a positive that presumes there is not balancing negative. That’s like an automatic set-up. One part of their head is building them up and the other part is pushing them down. Reality is that we’re all good and bad parents, we are wise to know it and accept it. Nothing on earth can change it. Even if one of the children think we are good the other might, even with the exact same treatment, think we’re bad at parenting. !

! For self coaching it’s better to say “I bring love to my parenting” or “I parent with heart” it’s much less tic-toc and more liveable in reality .- more aspirational.!
!
Another wrong self-coaching example might be “I am a brilliant leader” which sets us up for failure. If we build ourselves up, something or someone needs to balance and bring us down. Instead it might be best to say “I lead the world in my field” and then nominate the field. !
!
What’s important for us to achieve, is a permanent challenge to our head-space. Comfort and complacency must be avoided at all cost. Like saying “I have been a good parent” based on history, that’s so lame. Or “I was a great CEO” or “I was a champion athlete.” All that does is to make the “something to look forward to” less important.!
!
You need to say things you currently don’t quite know how you can do. You need to expand your reach, be more, not less. The key here is that your self-coaching needs to be a stretch. Just like when I coach people and say “I think you could lead the world in your field” when all they came to me for was to release some pain in their everyday life.!
!
The most influential thing in your headspace, is the language you speak to yourself.
! Not whether it’s English or French, but what words you use.! ! If you say to yourself “I am a good person” you know you just argued with nature. You know you are a good and a bad person. So, lets not drop into self-talk that just makes more trouble. We don’t build self-imprisoning thoughts. We want to work with nature to grow our life, improve our possibilities. We are going to talk ourselves into greatness.!
!
Again, skip the “amazing, the wonderful, the happy, the emotional uppers, feel good’s without downers and feel bads. That’s just old motivational language and you already know it causes depression and frustration.!
!
A personal living in a primitive place where technology and education are not yet present, might be saying “GOT TO” all the time. They don’t know another language. Got to Eat, Got to Sleep, Got to to Sex, Got to Survive. They don’t have a refrigerator so, tonight’s dinner is really reliant on their hunting and gathering skills. So, they don’t have choice. They “Got To” go hunting. So, when you hear yourself say “I Got To” you’ve joined a very primal club and if that’s what you love, and all the stress associated with attraction and repulsion, go for it. But please don’t complain about the stress, obesity and lost position at work. The fluctuations in Got To are just one drama after the next.!
!

! Many people talk about life balance, but their life balance is GOT TO. They GOT TO work, they GOT TO take time off, they GOT TO be a good parent. So, each GOT TO causes imbalance. !
!
Hence, most balance problems are not caused by Work versus Life competition. They are caused by people saying GOT TO.. whether they are at work or at home, they are actually thinking and therefore living out of balance. A person who is in the habit of saying “Got to” or “Should” will be out of balance even when they do something to cause balance. Even on holiday they will say “Got to” and be out of Balance. Not really able to relax without a significant belly full of alcohol.!
!
A person who says I GOT TO go to work. While at work they will say to their work mates, “I GOT TO HAVE A HOLIDAY.” Their work is potentially genius but if they have these primal emotions triggering their body into fight or flight all the time, they will not stay well, will be stressed and could have a significantly negative impact on the rest of the team.!

People who are operating in the GOT TO headspace can be the life of the party in public and manically depressed in private. They can exist in high places: Both at home and in business. Got to mindset is a powerful motivator and leans heavily on fear and guilt to keep those motivations alive. Sometimes they are the loudest voices, the most protesting, and sometimes they are blaming and righteous. You must be careful that such loud and righteous thoughts don’t start influencing your life. They are always offering extremes.!

If you simply say, “I GOT TO” catch the bus, you are burning fuel at an incredible rate, like a rocket launcher. If it is a real sprint down the street to catch the bus, then maybe in such life or death situations you can justify it. But if you are just empowering that bus to run your nervous system, then, it’s not healthy. !
!
Self-Coaching - Rising through Frustra Frustra are like the growth rings of a tree and they grow in all directions. You’ve no doubt seen a tree cut through the middle, and can recognise those growth rings. We human’s have those too.!
!
They are not necessarily physical growth rings, but more likely to be spiritual ones. Growth rings are comfort zones. The tree grows to a certain size then wraps itself in bark and then has to dump the bark and go for another round of growth negotiations with nature. During the comfort time the tree might feel that everything is perfect as it is, no need to change anything thank you.!

But, nature evolves us. And growth is essential. Those things that stop growing die. And in a human the only thing that can stop growing is your sense of adventure, your sense of possibility. !

When one area of life grows, all areas grow. The growth ring is a complete circle so, when you get pushed to new levels of incompetence at work (feeling inadequate and out of your comfort zone) it also means you’re probably being challenged at home too. !
!
When you hit a GOT TO it’s a good sign in one sense because it means you’ve grown. You’ve reached a new level of possibility and in this area you need to renegotiate your habits and lifestyle with nature. Maybe change your diet, your clothing, your thoughts, your way of thinking. It’s not a simple step when you hit a frusta and become incompetent. It’s commonly called “being off Track”!

The Back on Track process is designed to grow you in all seven areas of life by reinventing yourself. You might find yourself doing this frequently if you are in a high growth period in your life. During these high growth periods you’ll know it because you’ll feel a incompetent, you’ll have some doubt, your visions will feel weak and your self coaching will be about how great you used to be, rather than what is your possibility.!

During these Growth cycles, or frusta, your self-coaching can be, “I GOT TO GET OUTA HERE” or alternatively, and more healthy, you can say, “I’D LOVE TO DO THAT” or “I CHOOSE THIS” I choose to rise into this new level of possibility in my life.!
!
So, it’s not the circumstance that causes primal thinking, it’s your choice of language in your self-coaching.!
!
If you get a promotion at work, hopefully someone has seen your potential and said, “I ! think he/she can grow into that new job. I choose him or her for that role.” Now, if they gave you the promotion and you can already do that job, then you will be bored. They haven’t promoted or challenged you to grow. They’ve simply worked out how to suck more of the life-force out of you. You’ll be back into competence and ready for more growth within days of getting the new job. You’ll have one hand tied behind your back because you’ve been promoted but you’ll be in the same old mundane “can do” situation. You’ll be in a new position but wonder why it’s so disappointing. !
!
It’s disappointing because you are not in “GOT TO” - there’s no challenge. It’s not growth, there is no expansion. It goes against your true nature to just stay in a job or business where you are completely competent.!
!
In these situations I’ve seen healthy people take on extreme sports, have affairs, become obsessed about changing their house or even get militantly and violently angry at someone they blame for holding them back. Remember: the opposite to happiness is not unhappiness. It’s boredom. And boredom comes in a career, relationship, personal life,

business where you are 100% competent. In these situations you need a coach to remind you of your possibilities. Not how clever you were.!

Although “Got to” is a sign of incompetence, we are meant to coach ourselves with a process to become more competency at whatever we do so we rise to “Love to” again. !
!
This is called evolving. You evolve from GOT TO to LOVE TO and then up to GOT TO again. That’s why there are many rings on the tree growth. That’s why your life seems to have its ups and downs. It has them because you grow into them.!
!
But some people get stuck in GOT TO for a long time. They get addicted to the adrenalin. They love the drama of being in trouble or in worry or anxiety. Simply they are afraid to let go that “identity” they’ve created with all their friends that their life is difficult or dramatic or exciting. They don’t know how to be “content.”!
!
When we are a bad coach to ourselves no matter whether we are competent or incompetent, our self-coaching leads us to the language of GOT TO. We are really bad to ourselves, because GOT TO is violent, angry and harsh. It’s needed from time to time to motivate us, but not for long. If you took 90% of the GOT TO person’s workload away, they’d still say “I GOT TO” work, and be automatically stressed. They love the negative motivation because they are not comfortable being a good friend to themselves.!
!
So, GOT TO is a healthy place to visit when you first start something new, it’s a great place to push yourself for a moment or two, but it’s a terrible place to offer coaching to yourself.!
!
If you can take GOT TO out of your language you will calm down, have more energy, feel more balanced, need less holidays, enjoy time more, concentrate better, live longer, be happier, feel more romantic, and get more done in less time. It is however, conditional on your ability to develop a comfort with your own incompetence.!
!
When you find yourself saying GOT TO to yourself or to others, you can know that you are in a really Primal place in your mind. It’s ageing you, hurting your growth, devolving you, and wrecking your relationships. It’s ungrateful.!
!
For example: You are at work its late and your partner will be pissed at you, so you hear yourself talking to yourself thinking “ewe, I Got To go home.” You’d rather stay at work and enjoy your work because things at home are a bit yuk. This is a signal to you as your own life-coach that you need to do some work on yourself. First, you need to work out how to evolve your perspective at home and second how to see your domestic situation as a “Love to” rather than a Got to. !
!
Now many people start thinking that if they want to change their Got to to Love to, they need to change the thing. Like they might, in the above example, start thinking about discussing with their partner how their partner could be different and how that would

make it all better. They might even get a therapist. That’s all great if you have time, money and life to waste. In nature, you can simply change how you coach yourself.!

When you are judging something as Got To - that something has become very powerful. Whether you “GOT TO” have it, or GOT TO get away from it, the “it” has all the power. You’ve given your power away. !
! To take the power back is simple self coaching:! !
1. Look for the balance in that thing/person/ job/ task.. there’s two sides to everything and GOT To comes from seeing only one.! 2. Link the thing/person/job/task … to your highest value.. then you’ll be thankful for what you’ve got rather than wanting to change it.!
!
So, Everyday, every morning start the day with your LOVE LIST morning exercise get your self-talk, self coaching into LOVE TO/CHOOSE TO and hold it there.!

Fifty romantic dinners with my partner in places we invent, not in restaurants, where we set up the whole meal, dinner and candles and music ourselves and then go to a romantic place to be together alone, sexy undies, music beside the bed, etc
This can be different everyday, you can change it tomorrow.. To another idea, no need to worry, they accumulate..... Just never look back on yesterdays and try to innovate each day with more information, more ideas, more inspiring thoughts.!

Seven Steps to Getting from GOT TO - To LOVE TO ‌
! Practice this process over and over and life change and personal drama, downers will become a thing of the past. I used to experience downers, even when I went through some business challenge it would get me right in the gut and I just couldn’t think straight. !
!
The problem was that I was thinking too narrowly about problem solving. I was trying to solve problems at the root of the problem rather than look from a big picture perspective and see the whole problem. In other words I was always solving fragments of problems by getting too buried in them. !
!

When I finally stepped back far enough, I could see that even a business problem that was challenging me had an emotional component, a spiritual component, a physical component, a financial component, a family component and a social impact. My old problem solving techniques would just focus on one of those areas, the area where the problem was, and I’d miss the real picture and therefore have incomplete, and incompetent solutions.!
!
I’ll give you another example: I was in a wonderful relationship and I wanted to marry this woman I had been dating for a few months. It wasn’t going well. She was overwhelmed by my enthusiasm and loved the attention but couldn’t connect me with her values. She wanted other things than the ones I could offer. She loved me but the life I was thinking we could live wasn’t her idea of the future. There was, in other words, a values and vision disconnect. When that happens, there’s love but no romance or commitment. She had itchy feet and was always eyeballing other men. I was hurt. Now, I’ve written a lot about relationships and for me to fall into this trap of my own doing was really embarrassing. Anyway, I was in GOT TO. !
!
So, try as I may, I couldn’t work out how to convince her about us. Then, I applied the Back on Track process. I realised that I was throwing all my life energy into a relationship because there were other areas of my life that were not healthy. I was looking at the relationship from too small perspective. I stepped back and there was the big picture and automatically the reasons this relationship was not working became so clear. I agreed with her, let go and moved on with only a tinge of sadness. I then went to process and dealt with the real issues that were blocking my way.!
!
The Back on Track process is one of a kind in the world. It’s 100% based on the Laws of Nature so, whatever changes you bring about doing that process, stick. I’ll go through it.!

Action … Live it .. create it and do it … Evolve your family/business/friends/ community/world!
