The limiting factors for adduction include: • Soft tissue: apposition of thighs • Joint capsule: superior portion • Ligaments: upper iliofemoral / superior fibers, ischiofemoral, • Muscles: Gluteus medius, minimus, piriformis, TFL, ITB. Upper fibers of gluteus maximus
