IT TOOK ME THREE WEEKS TO STUDY FRANKIE AND HIS HABITS, AND TO REJECT HALF A DOZEN WAYS TO PULL HITI EVERYONE HAS A SOFT SPOT, NO MATrER HOW MANY BOOYOUARDS THEY SURROUNDED THEMSELVES WITHI BUT FRANKIE WAS AN OLD HAND AT COVERING HIS TAIL! NOT ONLY COULDN'T GET CLOSE TO HIM ...BUT HE DIDN'T APPEAR TO HAVE SO MUCH AS

THE NIGHT AFTER WE'D SETTLED INTO OUR NEW PLACES, DROPPED RENE AT A JOINT WHERE KNEW FRANKIE AND HIS GOONS LIKED TO KILL TIME! THEN SPLIT, KNOWING THAT THE CHICK. WITH THAT BODY THATD TEMPT A SAINT. WOULD HAVE OUR BOY EATING OUT OF HER HAND BEFORE THE NIGHT WAS THROUGH! I

featurt^ has been impeccable! Let me also applaud the covers from SanJulian and Enrich! Beautiful work, fjentlemen! And the contents page iluatrationa Gonzalez has been pro-

ducing (in some cases theee have been even more eye-catching than the cover paintings!) prove to me that if he had the time he could do some really outstanding work and his recent contributions to VAMPI tell me he's been giving it everything

he's got!

Incidentally, if anyone's taking count, issue lOH marks the third time we've seen Vampl nude the first being number H7. the second

being number 100. Interestingly.

Vampi seems Alexandra Moltke of Dark Shadows! (It's Mayo's Vampi I've notitxxi that Jose's

that i-esembles Caroline Munro!)

When is Warren going to print some more Vampi posters? Might I suggest that if you intend to reprint a cover painting as a post€;r. you le-ave off the magazine lettering and such? When you hang a picture on your wall, you usually want to look at it— not read it! HENRY R. KUJAWA

When

read Vampi No- 108 I thought, "They won't be able to top thi8one."Butyou did. Vampi No. 110 was a definite improvement -and why not? When Enrich, Alex Toth, Esteban Maroto and Jose Gonzalez are in it, it has to be good. Even I

first

though we lost (?) Pantha and The Fox. I didn't find myself missing them one bit. I found the high point of the issue to be "Torpedo." Toth's artwork was moody and AbuU's script was tight and action packe<l. It's interesting to see things through the eyes of the socalled "bad guy " Kec^p this one
