Who we are: Centropa is a Vienna/Budapaest/Washington-based Jewish historical institute that uses new technologies, multimedia films and exhibtions to tell the story of 20th century Jewish history in Europe. Our programs are much more about how Jews lived - not only how they perished during the Holocaust. In Ukraine, our team interviewed 292 Jewish Holocaust survivors, digitized 5,000 old family photographs, and now we are turning those stories into short films.
