Discover Ambon and Saparua
Day 1 Ambon
On arrival in Ambon, be transferred to your hotel. Stay the next two night at Hotel Maluku Resort.
Day 2 Ambon
Begin your day with a journey to the Leihitu Peninsula. Discover the Hitu and Hila villages before continuing onto Maluku to explore the famous old Immanuel Church which dates back to 1780, this church was destroyed in the Muslim Christian clashes in January 1999 but in 2009 the old church was rebuilt. Explore the old Mosque Wapauwe which is located in the Kaitetu village, dating back to 1414. Continue your journey to Allang, Lilibooi, Hatu and Larike village which are famous for its sacred eels. Day 3 Ambon to Saparua
Travel to Tulehu fort before boarding your small boat to begin cruising to Saparua island. Discover the Old Dutch fortress Duurstede before continuing to Ouw village which is the only village that has traditionally produced pottery for local use and colonial buildings.
Later, visit Nolloth village to explore the old church and traditional baileu village hall standing by the road-side. Overnight at Perdana Hotel. (B) Day 4 Saparua to Ambon
Journey by local speedboat to Nusa Laut island, along the way keep your eyes peeled for dolphins nearby. Enjoy a walking tour of Fort Beverwijk and Ameth village via Nalahia village, this stroll will take you along the coastline allowing you to take in the stunning scenery along the way. Next, enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to Molana Beach to snorkel amongst the colourful coral. Later, continue the journey over land to Ambon. Overnight at Hotel Maluku Resort. (BL)
Day 5 Ambon
After breakfast be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
