Day 1 Yogyakarta

On arrival in Yogyakarta, be transferred to your hotel. Stay the next three nights at Yogyakarta Plaza Hotel.

Day 2 Yogyakarta

Start the day with a visit to Candirejo, a traditional Javanese village which is rich with natural surroundings. Later, gain a real insight into local life as you participate in daily social activities. This afternoon, discover the spectacular Borobudur temple, the largest buddhist sanctuary in the world. (B)

Day 3 Yogyakarta

Explore the ancient village of Kotagede, discover local monuments such as Mataram Old Mosque and Kalang House before wandering through a traditional market. Take time to admire the historic Sultan’s palace, which dates back to the seventeenth century. (B) Day 4 Yogyakarta

Cycle through the quaint town past beautiful ricefields, villages and an old colonial canal to reach the Sambisari Temple. Later, discover Java’s most interesting Hindu shrine, Prambanan Temple. This afternoon, be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. (B)
