O
ne of the most common chronic childhood diseases is dental cavities. Sometimes this particular disease gets carried over well ahead into an individual's adult life. This chronic health issue has several contributing reasons, such as negligence of oral health, frequent snacking, sipping sugary drinks, etc. But the most prominent reason behind it is people's fear of visiting a dentist. Oftentimes, most people perceive that an appointment with a dentist and an oral health check-up will result in induced pain. This somewhere comes from the fact that the methods to treat dental issues were quite harsh in the olden times. Although the latest technology and techniques today have made oral health treatment less painful, people are still unaware of the developments in the field and dread paying a visit to dental clinics.
In an interview with Insights Care, Dr Anjali shares her journey in the healthcare industry and how she's providing exceptional care to her patients through her clinic, City Dental. Dr Anjali, please give us a brief overview of your journey as a root canal specialist at City Dental. I started my BDS in 2007 from Govt. Dental College, Chennai, after securing 4000 AIR in the NEET exam. Since 2012, after completing my 'dental surgery' course, I have been associated with various private clinics and hospitals. I have gained experience by working with Fortis Hospital, Faridabad, and Sri Balaji Action Hospital, Paschim Vihar. I have done specialization in facial aesthetics from IAOFE and also gained expertise in painless Root canal treatments.
To help people get over this fear of theirs, dentists and oral health professionals are relentlessly adopting the latest technologies and techniques of treatment. One such diligent professional in the field is Dr Anjali Agarwal. Being a root canal specialist, Dr Anjali constantly strives to provide the best care to her patients.
At present, I have my own clinic – CITY DENTAL at Pitampura, New Delhi, and I am also a visiting consultant at Munimayaram Hospital, Pitampura. Tell us more about City Dental, its vision, and how its distinct services and offerings are impacting the industry and its clients. City Dental has been serving painless smiles for more than 13 years now. We have two centres one at Saraswati Vihar and second at HU-84, Pitampura. We stress providing painless treatments with patient education. Our centers are equipped with all modern facilities in dentistry, and we provide all kinds of dental treatments.

Considering the example of the COVID-19 pandemic, how do you plan to navigate through similar situations in the future? COVID -19 pandemic has been a real nightmare for all dentists as we are the ones dealing directly with the oral cavity and hence in direct contact with the virus. But indeed, these times taught us how to fight back and survive in such a pandemic. What efforts did you take during the pandemic to sustain operations and ensure the safety of your team at the same time? We at City Dental ensured safety by following all the protocols issued by healthcare facilities in the public interest.
My advice to the budding entrepreneurs and enthusiasts aspiring to venture into the healthcare industry would be never to compromise on the service you provide. We deal with people in pain, and providing the best treatment available is our utmost duty, so patience and love with care should be our core strength while providing treatments. How do you envision further strengthening City Dental's stronghold in 2022 and beyond? City Dental has always been known for its painless services with utmost care about sterilization protocols. We keep on upgrading our team from time to time, and also we make sure we provide our patients with the best dental treatments available round the clock.
• UV chambers were installed for proper sanitization of the operatories. • All the dental chairs were sanitized along with instruments which were autoclaved and separately sealed packed for all the individuals. • Temperature checking and proper case history were taken along with basic travel /fever/cough/cold histories. • We ensured there was no rush in the waiting area. One patient at one time with no attendance allowed unless and until necessary • Proper fumigation mask protocols were followed. • Doctors and assistants made sure they were safe by carrying out all the procedures wearing a PPE kit, proper masks, and gloves. What is your opinion on the necessity for healthcare organizations to leverage technologies like AI and ML, especially when catering to the ever-evolving healthcare needs? Leverage technologies like AI and ML obviously help in healthcare by increasing the productivity and precision of the facilities delivered. For example, our basic dental impressions for the crowns have been replaced by intraoral scanners, which are way more comfortable for the patient. As an established industry leader, what would be your advice to the budding entrepreneurs and enthusiasts aspiring to venture into the healthcare services industry?

Celebrating Healthcare Sector's Women Leaders
Dr Aswini Naidu
A
leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. —John C. Maxwell “
“
The most interesting thing about leadership is that it is not biased or limited to any specific gender. If your actions encourage others to learn more, dream more, do more, and become more, you are a leader. Today—the modern age—is the era of women empowerment, where women are countering all stereotypes and myths, and they have emerged as astonishing leaders. With a passion to bring changes by their work, women leaders, are setting a benchmark of success in all dimensions such as technological innovations, scientific discoveries, and healthcare sectors. With multiple responsibilities, today women leaders have also emerged as professional role models for others too. They are accepting the challenges and taking the organization to the height of success through their strong leadership.

We endeavor to create a positive change within the healthcare space to empower hospitals with improved efficiency and patients with better care and be viewed as global leaders facilitating this movement on a magnified scale. Borne from the objective of bridging the gap between healthcare services and optimal patient care, Avisa Smart Hospitals is disrupting the way hospitals, clinics, diagnostic centers, and pharmacies operate. Our team is led by highly experienced doctors who hold not just first-hand experience of the existing gaps within the healthcare system but also a futuristic vision and passion for resolving them. To facilitate this transformation, we are equipping the healthcare space with smart infrastructure, interconnected management systems, software installations, and state-of-the-art equipment. With patient-centric care at the forefront of our solutions, we are enabling a quantitative leap in the experience patients have within hospitals and beyond. With services that present the best of innovation and practical application, we are laying down the path for hospitals to extend quality care while benefiting from optimized costs, operations, and management. Considering the example of the COVID-19 pandemic, how do you plan to navigate through similar situations in the future? The key to navigating any pandemic should be on strengthening the foundation of the healthcare system which primarily includes all healthcare workers, hospital systems, and the patients. Avisa smart hospital focused on bridging the gaps in hospitals for optimal patient care and enhanced operational efficiency which would be continued further as well without or without COVID-like situations. We at Avisa aim to bring a positive revolution with a focus on patient-centric care and at the same time increase the hospitals' efficiency as well with more value-added services in the future. What is your opinion on the necessity for healthcare organizations to leverage technologies like AI and ML, especially when catering to the ever-evolving healthcare needs? Technology in healthcare is the need of the hour. The increase in the amount of data and its complexity in a
healthcare setup is indicative of the need for artificial intelligence to be extensively applied in the healthcare field. Different types of AI are presently being employed by both healthcare payers and providers, along with certain companies that are life-science-based. AI is being increasingly applied for recommendations regarding diagnosis and treatment, adherence and engagement from the patients' end, and activities related to administration in a healthcare setup. This contributes to unearthing specific patterns and future predictions that enhance the diagnostic and treatment process and plans for a particular medical condition by making it more informed, secure, and reliable which would benefit patients and help Avisa reach closer to its mission. Avisa has developed a patient app that would be a one-stop solution for all patient care services which works on AI and ML. The Avisa app had a remarkable impact on AI and machine learning for improvising and transforming healthcare set up indicates its potential to save time, resources, and lives of the people.
How do you envision further strengthening Avisa Smart Hospital's stronghold in 2022 and beyond? Avisa's concept is unique which aims in bridging the gaps in healthcare and bringing improved patient-centric care which would be done in a phase-wise manner. Our remote patient monitoring device which can track and monitor all vitals and 30+ rapid tests is expanding its portfolio to the various assay of tests including cancer makers, digital stethoscope, drug use tests, etc. which can be used in different platforms for screening, faster diagnosis, and treatment of a patient. Avisa is also bringing state-of-the-art labs with an eldercare home facility in centers across India. The roadmap for Avisa involves creating personalized and better patient care leading to their improved quality of life as well enhancing the working of the traditional hospital by converting traditional hospitals to smart hospitals and creating a chain of smart hospitals across India and UAE.
Avisa remote patient monitoring systems also work on AI & ML which helps to track and monitor the patient even from their home. Due to this improvement in a healthcare setup that is inclusive of cost-efficiency and a much better survival rate, the healthcare industry has become a key sector for AI and machine learning and more healthcare organizations should learn and adapt to it. As an established industry leader, what would be your advice to the budding entrepreneurs and enthusiasts aspiring to venture into the healthcare services industry? The healthcare industry is growing more than ever, with technology, automation, and digitalization, and this is a great time to start aspiring and create something of your own or work with like-minded people. That being said, first and foremost, I would advise to be consistent and patient. With ever-evolving needs and technology the world has become fast-paced and competitive but at the same time before venturing into any commitment always research and analyze, be consistent with your work and have the patience to get results and of course, be smart and always have high hopes.

Dr Meenal Bhide Holistic Approach to Treating Patients Physically and Psychologically

S
cientists have developed a plethora of drugs to treat various diseases. In most cases, when patients take the prescribed medicines or drug treatments, they feel healthy for some period, and then they face the same illness again. In today's times, it has become important to focus on both physical and mental wellness to get out of illness effectively. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, people have become extra conscious of their physical and mental well-being. Human minds are very powerful, but at the same time, they can be fragile too. It needs to express itself physically more often to get things out of the system. If only the physical aspect is focused and the mind is ignored, our body tends to recreate the circumstances that caused the illness in the first place. Similarly, if the body is not given attention, the mind also starts to slow down or divert towards unhealthy thoughts and habits. Doctors in healthcare, especially homeopathic doctors, recognize how important it is to marry physical and psychological wellness to lead a healthy life. Dr Meenal Bhide, a Homeopath, has adapted holistic approaches to address physical and mental health aspects. At her Manomay Clinic in Pune, she is helping numerous patients online and offline to understand their bodies and minds better and, at the same time, cure their illnesses through various therapies. The Beginning of the Journey Dr Meenal completed her Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S) from Mumbai University. Though her immediate family members were not medicos, she was always interested in biology and wanted to study medicine from her school days. She has her clinic in Pune for the past 20 years. Since homeopathy has a holistic approach to treating patients, she was keen to learn about alternative therapies as a support or to supplement a patient's healing. So, she studied Reiki up to the third degree, Acupressure, Aroma Therapy, Counselling, Bach Flower Therapy, and Dance Therapy. Homeopathy and Well-Being In her practice over the years, Dr Meenal has observed that the patient does not get completely cured unless and until the mental well-being is taken care of. In some cases, even
21 | March 2022
In homeopathy, we always aim at treating any diseased individual as a whole, i.e., taking into consideration his/her physical and psychological well-being and not focusing only on the disease.
if the physical ailment is dealt with initially, the cure does not last long in the absence of mental fitness. "In homeopathy, we always aim at treating any diseased individual as a whole, i.e., taking into consideration his/her physical and psychological well-being and not focusing only on the disease," she says. The patient needs to "feel" better, not just "get" better. This is because the mind and body are like two sides of the same coin and thus inseparable. "Movement" therapy or "Dance" therapy is based on this principle. Dance Therapy In Dance Therapy, simple body movements are used to achieve both physical and mental well-being. It focuses on the expression of the mind through various hand gestures, body postures, and scientifically designed movements. This can be used as a treatment for certain ailments as well as for the prevention of many diseases. "Most of the time, people are tired of taking too much medication, so this alternative therapy works wonderfully for all age groups," Dr Meenal tells us. She has taken workshops for patients with Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Squint, Arthritis, Sciatica, post-COVID phase, and geriatric problems, to name a few.
www.insightscare.com
“The in-person counselling and consultation were done mostly online. However, dispensing medicines did not stop. Dance therapy sessions were done online, and many participants across the country/abroad could join in due to the availability of virtual platforms," she adds. Technology Adaptation in Healthcare The healthcare industry has started to adapt to technology to give better health assistance to the public. Due to backto-back pandemic waves, it has become important for the public and healthcare professionals to stay connected in today's time.
Changing Health Awareness People have started looking at their health from an altogether different perspective post-pandemic, which is a welcome phenomenon. Time has proven that Health is Wealth in the real sense. "Due to advanced technology, information related to medical science is available very easily, but professional experience and 'in-person' guidance are indispensable," Dr Meenal tells us. Career Challenges As a Homeopath and Bach Flower Practitioner, Dr Meenal gets many patients related to Psychological Health/Psychosomatic illnesses. So, in most cases, her role as a Counsellor is very crucial. "Eventually, a healthy rapport gets developed with the patient. Then at times, it becomes difficult to substitute the treating physician," she expresses. Pandemic Challenge COVID-19 pandemics in the last two years have put so much burden on the healthcare system everywhere in the world. People who were not giving attention to their health suffered from fatigue, stress, depression, and other physical and mental illnesses. When asked how she has handled the pandemic challenge at her clinic, Dr Meenal said, "For the past two years, it was a challenging situation for everyone. But for medicos, it was a phase of great learning as well."
22 | March 2022
When asked about her opinion about the need for technology adaptation in the healthcare sector, Dr Meenal says, "Healthcare professionals need to change their working style to align with new demands related to social health. Even we had to undergo online training to become a Corona Warrior in the first wave of the pandemic." Words of Guidance Expert advice is essential for aspirants who want to pursue a specific career path. It helps them to have the right direction for their career journey. For those who seek to enter into the homeopathy profession, Dr Meenal advises, "It is a noble profession, but the perspective has changed over a period. Only the aspiration may not give desirable results. There are many aspects, like duration of the course, investment, gestational period, and not to forget the hard work. " Future Plans Unfortunately, mental fitness gets neglected in our society. So, most of the time, people seek help only when a problem arises. Dr Meenal intends to help such people deal better with such conditions. She says, "Early identification of the problem, especially related to psychological health, will only lead to timely intervention in the form of counseling, medication, rehabilitation, etc. I am looking forward to working towards such preventive measures." "Also, I would like to focus on school-going children, their habits, hygiene, and health in general. If they are given proper knowledge at an early age, they can lead a healthy life ahead," she adds.

hen it comes to oral health, good preventative care is necessary. Oral health is a gateway to the overall health of a person because the mouth intakes whatever we consume whether it is good or bad. Even with the best dental habits, dental problems do happen.
Oral pathology is the science that diagnoses and treats disease in the teeth, gums, bones, jaw, and joints around the mouth. Dental problems are natural to happen to anyone, dental professionals help people to know more about the diseases and guide how to prevent them. We have reached the digital world, where technology grew and participation in treating disease has become exceptionally smooth. Recently we conducted an interview with Dr Pradakshana Vijay, an Oral Pathologist and Senior Resident at King George's Medical University, to know more about the dental industry and its progress. Dr Pradakshana is an expert in oral cancer with lots of knowledge and milestones, has experience in treating dental problems of people over a decade time. Below are the highlights of an interview: Kindly tell our readers about yourself and your professional journey so far. What was your inspiration to step into the healthcare sector? It was always a childhood dream to see myself in the white apron with Dr suffixed to my name. From the age of six, I aspired to become a doctor. Then seeing the doctors in the hospital in a white apron motivated me. It is not just a job, but a dream come true for me. profession. It was with the support and encouragement of my parents I pursued my dream. Though I belong to nonmedical family background, I always hoped to see myself in the profession. I completed my B.D.S. (Bachelor's in Dental Surgery) from Sri Rajiv Gandhi College of Dental Sciences, Bengaluru in 2009, and further did my specialization M.D.S. (Master's in Dental Surgery) in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from NIMS Dental College, Jaipur in 2015. Later I joined King George's Medical University (KGMU) as a Senior Resident in 2016 and completed my residency in 2020. I got a project approved and sanctioned by CSIR New Delhi and joined back KGMU as pool officer in 2020, and currently, I am serving the institute. Tell us about King George's Medical University, its mission, and its vision. What role did you play in furthering its development and outreach? Highness, the Prince of Wales in 1906. The college was completed and the work of the first medical session was started in October 1911, though the ceremonial opening of the college building by His Honour Sir John Prescot Hewett did not occur until January 27, 1912. The dental faculty of the college was born as a separate section of the Department of Surgery in 1949 with ten admissions to the B.D.S. course. It was converted into a separate department in 1950, had a new building in 1952, started post-graduate training courses in 1964, had another new building, and attained the status of a separate faculty in 1980. At present, it consists of 9 departments viz Oral Pathology, Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry, Orthodontics. Periodontics, Pedodontics, oral medicine, community dentistry, and Oral Surgery. The mission and vision of KGMU are to become one of the world's best providers of high-quality teaching and excellence in medical education, patient-centred care of the highest quality, generate outstanding leaders in healthcare and promote biomedical research. I have been involved in departmental and institutional activities like educational programs which include conferences and workshops, biomedical research activities, social outreach like dental camps. COVID-19 proved to be the biggest disruptor since the Dot-com bubble. How has the pandemic affected the operations and growth of your university? KGMU was the first healthcare facility in the state to admit COVID-19 patients from 2020. Since then, the journey from 'no beds' to a 'few cases' hasn't been easy. It was the toughest phase in the medical field. COVID management taught us a lot, and new additions were done to the healthcare system. Telemedicine was introduced, which helped doctors to reach those patients and places which were difficult to approach and treat. Plasma therapy was started, which acted as a boon to save many lives. What is your opinion on the necessity for hospitals and healthcare educators to align their offerings with newer technological developments, especially when it comes to catering to the ever-evolving healthcare needs?
improving healthcare, including reduced human errors, improving clinical outcomes, improving practice efficiencies, and tracking data over time. What are the biggest challenges that you have faced operating such a highly versatile university? What are the most important lessons that you have learned in your vocation so far? The rising student expectations, the newer technological advances, making research sustainable, balancing research with teaching, the shift to e-learning. In your opinion, what could be the future of healthcare post the pandemic? And how are you strategizing your institution's pedagogy and operations for that future? Telehealth and telemedicine are the new face of the healthcare system, development of mobile applications for health update status and disease monitoring, the shift to preventive treatment protocols. What advice would you like to give to aspiring doctors and healthcare enthusiasts who wish to venture into the healthcare space? Managing your workload means being organized, asking for help when needed. Give yourself time to learn, manage stress, being a good listener to your patients, build connections with your colleagues, look for good opportunities and choose decisively between academics and private practice. Where do you see yourself in the future? Also, how do you envision scaling King George's Medical University in the coming years? I see myself as an emerging oral pathologist, learning and gaining experience in research and academics, innovating in the field of dentistry and my specialty in particular. I hope to hold a respectable position in the institution in the near future. I expect KGMU to be among one of the best healthcare providers globally in the field of academics, research, and patient care.

A conglomerate of healthy nations is our healthiest civilization. Thus, for a civilization to remain healthy, an individual's health is as important as that of all of us collectively. Because without one unit, there are no units. United, all the ones form us. Divided, we remain an individual unit and nothing more. The COVID-19 pandemic has made one thing very clear. That one unhealthy individual can spread a disease to many, threatening, in effect, the health of not only a community, society, or a nation but also the health of the entire humankind. The pandemic has also opened the rigid boundaries of healthcare, making it easier for the most vulnerable yet most neglected segments of the population to access at least essential healthcare services. It paved the way for a more personalized healthcare ecosystem transforming the wellness industry forever. This novel healthcare model simplifies and streamlines the various aspects of wellness solutions and the service landscape. The exact fundamental behind the personalized treatment is to make available patient-specific diagnoses and treatments to offer complete care.

Healthcare Unification by Diversification: Although we are one species of mammals, all human beings are diverse with their different metabolic responses, unique biological and psychological traits, and different lifestyle preferences for and effects of foods, temperatures, environments, activities, etc. Doctors, healthcare givers and the scientific community have long been known and understood this and concluded long before the pandemic came striking that a one-size-fitsall healthcare solution does not work at all. Thus, healthcare must be precise and tailored to the psychobiological needs and individual preferences. Experiment after experiment has proved that one set of treatments, medicines or even vaccines may not be effective for all patients. It might not be effective for all patients but might not be for another group with closely identical clinical parameters. Precision diagnoses and treatment, therefore, with its more 'customised' methodology, presents a solution to this problem. It helps in reducing trial and error-based experimental treatment decisions. It also enables more patient centrictreatment by integrating multi-modal data of an individual from various sources.

Digital Innova ons Prevention is Better than Cure: The focal point is the old-age motto that prevention is better than cure. Thus, it implements a preventive mode of medication rather than the reactive mode. Because comparatively, personalized treatment is more time-efficient and most cost-effective for pharmaceutical clinical trials. Healthcare personalisation is now easily possible by adopting technological advancements in automation, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data science, machine learning, predictive analysis, sensor and digital twin technologies. Present's Science Fiction is the Future of Healthcare These technologies work in combination to create a digital healthcare ecosystem where personalization is at the core of everything. Firstly, through the data gathering devices, all the patient's info and data are recorded, collected, stored, and shared using cloud computing, the internet of medical things (IoMT). Secondly, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) go hand-in-hand. ML is the AIs branch. In ML, various data patterns are identified to pinpoint and then categorise the unseen or hidden data patterns. Afterwards, they are applied and utilized to derive a conclusion by conducting a series of exploratory data analyses.
These drugs contain chemical compositions of the kind which can be used to increase the survival rates of patients. Patients with severe complications like sepsis alongside COVID-19 are successfully treated by developing novel therapeutic strategies. Using data-driven insights, isolation and identification of underlying as well as associated conditions are possible. It further helps in knowing that patients with severe COVID19 reactions develop more complications. Furthermore, clinical processes are transformed by the use of digital twins. It is possible by creating advanced modelling of the human body with the help of augmented medical care through digital tracking. Scientists, doctors, and researchers learn more about existing and new diseases, novel treatments and medications, and enhanced medical equipment. They are creating a globally streamlined healthcare ecosystem of Digital Personalized Wellness, where each unique patient is treated uniquely. In other words, the present's science fiction is global healthcare's future. - Gaurav PR Wankhade
The ML algorithms stipulate all the possibilities of recognizing target-centered treatments and medicines. Many such treatments, drugs and vaccines have been developed based on clinical, laboratory, nutrition, genomics and lifestyle-related data. Then comes the role of AI. Vaccines and treatments are developed using AI personalised medicines throughout clinical development's relevant phases. Moreover, AI tech plays a vital role in implementing modern personalized health products. Digital Personalized Wellness All these technologies have enabled the creation of Digital Patient Models. These models have significantly aided the scientific community in identifying COVID-19's high-risk genes. This way, drugs developed for other diseases could also be repurposed in the treatment of coronavirus.

ndia is a country where a significant section of the nation's population lives in the village. Our country's success and development are dependent on improved living situations in rural areas, where all necessary lifesupporting amenities, including healthcare, are readily available to everybody. Poverty, sickness, and a lack of sanitation characterize the environment in Indian villages. People living in villages are suffering greatly from numerous chronic diseases because of the lack of amenities and poor management in rural areas. Special attention must be paid to health care in rural regions to control the spread of diseases and minimize the rising rates of mortality caused by a lack of suitable health facilities. Dr Pawar Hospital Palus is among India's foremost healthcare centers, providing excellent treatment across a spectrum of specialties. Dr Pawar hospital Palus was founded in 2009 by Dr Sadhana Amol Pawar and, over the last few years, has been focused on providing quality healthcare services to the rural population and especially providing all the services related to obstetrics and gynecology. In the following interview, Dr Sadhana talks more about her specialty services and how she's striving towards making rural healthcare in India more advanced and accessible. Kindly tell our readers about yourself and your professional journey so far. I am Dr Sadhana Amol Pawar, and I am working as a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist at Dr Pawar hospital at Palus, a small city in the Sangli district of Maharashtra. I have done my secondary schooling in Jawahar Navoday Vidyalaya Palus. I did my M.B.B.S at Government Medical College Miraj And my postgraduation in obstetrics and gynecology at Dr V.M.M.C Medical college Solapur. I have been practicing at my own 35 bedded hospital along with my orthopedic surgeon husband since 2009 at Palus. I am engaged in various social activities for women's health.

I do write about various topics related to women's health like PCOS, adolescence, obesity prevention, premenstrual syndrome, menopause, pregnancy, contraception, sexual dysfunction, cancers in females, etc., through newspapers, magazines, social media and, I do deliver lectures on these various topics in women gatherings, school, colleges, etc. Besides this, I work on women's empowerment by making them aware of the constitution, politics, various laws, etc. We, through our NGO, adopted villages during floods in Western Maharashtra. We do conduct camps like bone mineral density checking, haemoglobin checking, thyroid function testing, etc. What was your inspiration to step into the healthcare sector? My inspiration to step into the healthcare sector was watching, since childhood, the misery faced by my villagers, relatives, and friends due to the lack of a proper healthcare system in the rural area. Tell us about Dr Pawar hospital, its mission, and vision, and what role did you play in furthering its development and outreach? Dr Pawar hospital is a 35 bedded hospital founded in 2009. Its mission is to provide quality healthcare services to rural populations and to spread health awareness amongst them. I do provide all services related to obstetrics and gynecology, ranging from infertility to cancer management to the standard level as much as possible. COVID-19 proved to be the biggest disruptor since the dot-com bubble. How has the pandemic affected the operation and growth of your hospital? The COVID-19 pandemic came with a storm of horror and uncertainty in the minds of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff working at our hospital. The time came when most of the staff were not allowed by their family to work. But still, we continued our services; we chose humanity over self. We counseled our staff, provided the necessary personal

protection equipment kits, and continued to serve our patients. We had the opportunity to serve people free of cost because of the MJPJAY and PMJAY schemes. We conducted deliveries of pregnant ladies when they were rejected everywhere due to fear. And that feels so great now when we look at those kids covid pandemic-born kids accompanying their mothers for follow-up. What are the biggest challenges that you have faced operating such a highly reputed multi-specialty facility? What are the most important lessons that you have learned in your vocation so far? We face many challenges because this hospital is in a small city where we have a lack of consultants, nursing and paramedical staff, blood bank, anesthetist, and tertiary care center. But still, we have proudly cared for and cured thousands of our patients without any morbidity and mortality. What I learned so far is if you are sincere in providing your service without exploitation of patients, you will never face any medicolegal or violence.
help them come out of this together because if they survive, we do survive. There should be more research in virology, and there should be more and more new tertiary care centers even at the periphery. What advice would you like to give to aspiring doctors and healthcare enthusiast who wishes to venture into the hospital in the coming years? I will advise the aspiring doctors not the entry in this field for money-making and to carry forward legacy the of keeping this profession noble as it is through centuries. Also, I would advise them to enter this field only if they are passionate about serving humanity. No one can practice medicine if there is no love for humanity and if there is no compassionate heart. Where do you see yourself in the future? Also, how do you envision scaling Dr Pawar hospital in the coming years? We hope to expand our service to more specialties and treat and caring more and more patients in our area by making available all the health care schemes by the government.
In your opinion, what would be the future of healthcare post the pandemic? How are you strategizing your multi-specialty hospital's operations for that future? The future of the healthcare industry is always promising. But as in the post-covid era, the economy is in a delicate stage we have to offer people service at a low cost. We must

Today Dr Shubhangi is a very successful dentist and an aspiring woman leader displaying her excellent leadership. In an exclusive interview with Insights Care, Dr Shubhangi Aarya sheds light on the organization's journey, its services, and her vision for the future. Please tell us about Ora Care Dental Clinic and Hi-Tech Dental Clinic in detail. Ora Care Dental Clinic and Hi-Tech Dental Clinic have been operational in Virar since the year 2006. At that point in time, there were not many options for people of Virar, and they had to rush to the Mumbai suburbs for their dental treatment since we had three outlets, one in West and two in East. It was very convenient for people of Virar to get their dental treatment done. Thanks to our expert team, now we have patients coming from the Mumbai suburbs and beyond Virar from Palghar and Dahanu. Brief us about your educational background and your journey in the field of dentistry. 2003 to 2005. I started my first clinic in May 2006 at Virar West soon after I started the second clinic in July 2006 in Virar East. What was your inspiration behind deciding to practice in the dentistry niche? The study of the human body had always fascinated me right from when I was a student, so becoming a surgeon was like a dream from my childhood. In the later years, I realized dentistry was emerging as a rapidly developing field, and one of the positive attributes is that even a dental graduate can perform surgeries. I believe when we put a smile on a patient's face, the happiness a surgeon feels is more than that of a patient. This is what inspired me to pursue dentistry. What are the USPs that highlight Ora Care Dental Clinic and Hi-Tech Dental Clinic as the leading names in the field of dentistry? One of the biggest USPs of our clinic is that all types of dental treatments are available under one roof. We cater to dental treatment needs from predicative to geriatric patients. Our expert team makes the patients comfortable and relaxed, as many patients are nervous and anxious about treatment.
www.insightscare.com
We have all types of modern and enhanced equipment available to us. Also, the clinics are situated in the main market area of Manvel pada and Jivdani road, which makes it there easily accessible. Over the period of 16 years, we have played our part in creating awareness about dental treatments and dental hygiene. What are the professional qualities that you think your patients value in you the most? The most valued professional quality is TRUST. We have been able to gain our patients' trust over the period of 16 years due to our expert team, timely deliverers of dentures, crowns, and bridges, proper guidance to the patients regarding diagnosis, treatments plan, and prognosis. Another quality valued by our patients is our commitment to the patient's treatment needs. Our patients also value the skills which our team has achieved through continuous learning and hard work. Our team is confidently empathetic, focused, and respectful to our patients. Excellent communication as well organized, various, and collaborative team is what makes our patients value us. How would you coach a pediatric patient through a tooth extraction or similar procedure? While handling a pediatric patient, the most important quality required by a dentist is PATIENCE. We do not force the child to co-operate. Initially, we let the child get accustomed to our clinical decorum. Once the child trusts us that the treatment to be done is to give relief from pain and treatment itself is painless, it becomes less cumbers for a dentist to treat a pediatric patient. Post extraction instructions are given twice to the children well as parents in the language best understood to them with emphasis on following the instructions. How do you adapt to change in a fast-paced workplace? Indeed, the work has become fast-paced as compared to earlier times. Excellent time management skills come hardly in a fast-paced workplace. Dividing responsibilities equally in the team as per the strength and weaknesses of the team member helps to provide balance while keeping up to the goal.
Overall, every team maker should value the importance of time and goals let. How is the adoption of modern technology enhancing medical procedures in the field of dentistry? Dentistry is one of the rapidly emerging fields of medicine. There technology changes with the blink of an eye. The uses of many instruments, materials, and techniques have become obsolete over the period. Although some of them have stood the test of time and are still used with excellent results, modern technology has changed the game. Practice management software has made life easy. The use of social media has helped us to reach out to patients and vice versa. The use of modern material and technique has not only helped the doctors but the patients as well. Undoubtedly it has saved a lot of time and effort for the doctors and patients equally. Modern technique has opened many doors for the patients as well as doctors when it comes to diagnosis, treatment planning, and different treatment modalities available. As an experienced professional, what would you like to advise the budding aspirants willing to enter the Dentistry niche? Thanks for counting me as an experienced professional, but I think I am still learning, and I would also advise the budding aspirants that learning never stops in the field of Dentistry. Every new patient is a new challenge and a new learning experience. Do not get disaster if you make mistakes. After all, they will teach you more than what you have learned in the protected environment of your college. Never hesitate to ask for help from your colleagues. Do not see your colleague as your competitors; rather, see them as your guide. Hard work, dedication, passion for dentistry, constituency, excellent communication, adaptation to change, and striving for excellence will help you achieve great heights.
Timely assessment of the work done and the work to be done also helps to ease the burden. Setting small, practical, achievable goals has also helped in a fast-paced workplace.

resources, it was too difficult to manage all patients, but we tried our best by doing a rigorous duty of 12 to 16 hours in a PPE kit without food and water for straight ten hours, and it was too difficult as a female during menstruation as well. But duty and patients came first, as always. The pandemic has changed our perspective altogether. It made us more tolerant and more grateful for what we have. We have grown as a society and have learned to help and support each other. People have also shown support to us COVID warriors as well. They have abided by the laws by following the use of masks, getting vaccinated, and following doctors' advice. The main way of managing things is to get properly educated about the scenario and disease and follow up with your doctors. What is your opinion on the necessity for hospitals and healthcare providers to align their offerings with newer technological developments, especially when catering to the ever-evolving healthcare needs?
our Anesthesia department. The anaesthesia department is also playing an integral part in the newly developed cancer centre as well. What advice would you like to give to aspiring doctors?
The medical field is an ever-evolving field. So, I am also in my learning phase to keep up with the change. Speaking as a healthcare professional, it is required of us to keep learning and move forward. Many workshops are being conducted to give an overview of new advancements. I am fortunate enough to be a part of the training schedule conducted by the West Bengal government, where I had to train medical officers and nurses regarding this pandemic situation and patient handling in ICU as well. In your opinion, what could be the future of healthcare and medical education post-pandemic? And how are you strategizing North Bengal Medical College and Hospital operations for that future?
Follow your dreams. If you are sure enough to love and dedicate your life to medicine, you should take up this field. Consistency and perseverance are the keys to success. Follow your heart, and do not ever give up. Where do you see yourself in the future? Also, how do you envision scaling North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in the coming years? I am a student, and I will keep learning. I plan to explore the new and upcoming branches of pain treatment, alleviating chronic and acute pain, giving patients a better quality of life, and bringing smiles to their faces.
In my opinion, more stress needs to be given to the mental health of students. Apart from that, many practical approaches should be implemented from the early years of MBBS. Communication skills among the students should be improved such that future responsibilities of counselling patients will follow smoothly. Multiple HDU/ICU/HYBRID CCU, all under the Anesthesia department, are operational and provide the best treatment. The entire critical care sector is being catered by
