I'velovedmyexperienceworkingatagencies–when you'refirststarting,it'ssomucheasiertofigureoutwhat youdon'tlovedoing.Withinanagency,youhavetheability tomovearoundandtrydifferentbrandteams.WhenI reflectonmytimeatDentsu,I'veheldmanydifferentjobs andlearnedsomuchaboutmyself.
Workingwithtalentedpeople,learning,listening,raising myhand,andsigningupforworkatfirstmademystomach intoknots(questioningifIcoulddoit–Ialwaysdid),but it'sinthosemomentsthatIgrewintotheseniorcomms executiveIamnow
Anotherpieceofadviceforwomenleaderswouldbeabout boundaries–Iamaworkinprogressheretoo.However,I trulyfeelthreesentencescanhelpyouunlockgoodtogreat. Theyare'No,''Notnow,''Notme.'Forexample,'No,this doesnotalignwithourmissionandvision,''Notnow Fantasticideabutthisdoesnottakepriorityoverour currentcommitments,''Notme.Soandsoisbesttotake thaton.'IknowImyselfhaven'tusedtheseenough.Most leadersfatallyovercommit.So,thisyearespecially,I've beenworkingondecluttering.

Mycolleaguesweregenerallyyoungmenwhohadn’t committedtomarriageorchildrenatthatstage,sothey coulddevotemuchmoreoftheirtimetotrainingand certifications,whichI,too,hadtojuggleagainstother commitmentstofamily
Earlyon,wealsodidn’tyethavetheinternet,soalltraining hadtobeon-site,inperson,orfromabook/cd’s,whichwas alsolessflexiblethantheoptionsavailableinmoderntimes.
Whatsignificantimpactdidyoubringtoyourindustry?
Frommyveryfirstroleinmanagingpeopleataservice desk,Irecognizedthattoachievegreatsuccessforan organization,youmustfirstfocusonthepeoplethatmake uptheteam.
Ibegandevelopinghighlyengagedteamswholoved workingtogethertowardsstrategicgoals,elevating customerservicesignificantly.Ialsochartedthecourse towardsoutstandingcustomerserviceineachofthe organizationsIworkedfor,puttingpeoplefrontandcenter ineveryequation,boththeemployeesandthecustomers. Whatisyourtakeontechnology'simportance,andhow areyouleveragingit?
Technologyiseverywhere,andit’sanenablertoall business;yousimplycan’trunanybusinessthesedays withoutit.Fortechnologytobethat“enabler,”itneedsto yieldaverypositivecustomerexperience;itneedstobe simple,solid,andscalable.Myfocusistoensurethat whateverisbeingdeliveredtothecustomermakessenseto them,iseasyforthemtouse,andiswithlittletonofault whenrun.

From my very first role in managing people at a service desk, I recognized that to achieve great success for an organization, you must first focus on the people that make up the team.

Withoutadoubt,AIishereandtostay.Itisalready changingthewaywedoeverything.Weneedtoembrace andnotfearit.Ithasthepotentialtosimplifyourworld, improvingourlivesandunburdeningusfromcomplexity anddifficultyinmanytransactions.
Itwilltaketimeforustounderstandwhatcanbeimproved withAIandwhatrequireshumanconventionalcareand feeding.IamcurrentlyimplementinganAI/Chatbotinmy healthcareorganization,aimedatreducingturnaroundtime onquestionsandautomatingtheexecutionofbasic technicaltaskssuchaspasswordresets,software deployment,andconnectivityrestorationtokeysystems.
Thegoalistogetourcustomersupandrunningin2 minutesversusthetraditional10minutesofdisruptionthey normallyface.

Whatareyourgoalsintheupcomingfuture?
Iamquintessentiallyachallengerofthestatus-quo,andI thriveontransformation.Assuch,Iamexcitedaboutthe technologicalchangesthatwillallowusfurthertoleverage datascience,AI,andmachinelearning,makingourjobs andlivesmucheasier.
