Making Sense Bread & Circus branding development
route one
Following on from the original feedback, we have altered the elephant’s feet to demonstrate more of the typical ‘balancing circus elephant’ shape. The logo type itself has not changed, but the brand collateral has. By incorporating a modern, sans serif font for the rest of the brand, we are able to stand astride modern and classical. This ensures that the logo itself will not date, but become a timeless, memorable mark - demonstrating the sophisticated, up-market nature of the brand. The use of beautiful, luxurious papers and unusual printing techniques will bring a further understated sophistication to the restaurant across all of the designs.

route two
This logo development brings a more modern approach to the brand. The flowing ‘R’ brings some character to the mark that more modern fonts can sometimes lack. Although this logo mark is a little less timeless, it is far more modern. With the brand development we have looked at incorporating black and white imagery and vertical stripes to once again give a more contemporary style. The elephant features over imagery as a character in his own right that could feature throughout the restaurant.
MENU EXAMPLE
1. Striking black and white imagery brings a story to the brand for a rich visual style.

route three
A far more radical development of the original logo that celebrates the variety of life - and the circus. This mixture of classical, modern and decorative fonts creates an eccentric mark that could have great standout along a crowded street. It is a great expression of quirk, wit and charm that Britain is so famed for. With such a rich and decorative mark the logo should be given a lot of space to breath, and so brand collateral should remain fairly uncluttered without appearing too stark. The etching illustrations still sit perfectly with this style, keeping the brand rooted in a more timeless place, rather than latest trends that could date quickly.
