MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD
Following the Reggio Emilia approach to early years education, our specialist EY teachers understand that children learn most effectively through a playful, exploratory approach. By engaging in the learning space, our young learners discover the social, emotional, and physical skills that will lay the academic foundation they require to adequately prepare them for elementary education and later schooling.
Providing full immersion in the English language across the school offers students a unique opportunity to learn the language effectively as they build the foundations of verbal proficiency in an authentic and relational manner. Teachers work with students in small groups and are attentive to their developing skills in order to effectively support them in the first stages of language acquisition.
Every member of staff at Kiddy is responsible for the wellbeing and learning of every student. Upon enrollment, our specially-trained EY teachers design an individualised learning plan to actively understand and respond to the needs of our learners, while acknowledging their unique personalities to reinforce their potential.
We collaborate closely as a team to share best practice in early years education and discuss learning goals for each child. EDUCATIONAL APPROACH
KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM The curricular programme implemented at our Kiddy English Kindergarten, Milan, is the robust Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our activities are intended to support children in their development across the 7 areas of the EYFS which are: 1. Communication and language
At Kiddy English, we place children at the center of learning, and implement a holistic, engaging and enquiry play-based approach to early years schooling to stimulate their curiosity. It is our mission to ensure that each child reaches their full potential and is supported in taking risks. Our Kindergarten offers your child an exciting entry into formal education with dedicated staff focused on the wellbeing and development of each child and state-of-the-art early years resources. Each day, early learners participate in learning activities within a setting that supports their full immersion in the English language in classes taught by fully native English-speaking teachers. When older EY students leave our kindergarten in Milan, they are confident speaking, understanding, writing, and able to demonstrate their language abilities to a very high level, which provides them with a strong foundation for the next part of their learning journey. Furthermore, our early learning educators are fully-committed to providing a safe, enabling and interactive learning environment that supports and nurtures the social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth of each student within an international community.

Expressive arts and design Our fully qualified teachers design learning experiences to be fun, interactive and collaborative, while simultaneously supporting and guiding your child’s development. As our student’s progress through the school, they will begin to work on structured programmes such as Read Write Inc. Phonics, and White Rose Mathematics which will provide them with the best possible head start to their literacy and mathematical understanding. We also have specialist teachers providing gymnastics sessions, art classes, Chinese tuition and swimming lessons on a weekly basis. As an additional bonus, we offer extracurricular after-school activities such as music, dance and Judo lessons.

The environment where our students spend their school hours is of vital importance.
SCHOOL SERVICES
Our classes are spacious, bright and multifunctional areas with interactive boards and games that allow their imaginations to truly soar. At the heart of our school is a piazza area where students from across the school can socialise and collaborate. There is also a diverse and well-resourced library, and an art atelier for students to develop and enhance their creative and imaginative skills using high quality art materials. The gym is a central area where younger students can develop their gross motor skills and physical development by participating in weekly sessions supported by a diverse range of sporting equipment to support learning.
Food and Nutrition
Our recently refurbished large outdoor garden area is the perfect place for our students to run, cycle, climb and play with their friends. The art atelier is filled with fresh flowers and blooms to inspire children to get creative with natural materials.
Lunch and snacks are provided by our canteen group, Compass, who offer seasonal menus and can cater for any dietary requirements. Please notify your child’s teacher to discuss any allergies or medical needs.
Uniforms The Kiddy English uniform is mandatory, and can be ordered from our official supplier, OVS.
School Bus Paganelli is the provider of our school bus service. A route will be planned to pick-up and drop-off your child close to your home. The bus has a special designated assistant who accompanies and helps children during their daily journeys to and from school.
The outdoor kitchen is filled with culinary resources and cooking materials, allowing students to develop their imagination and role-play real life scenarios, while the expansive sand area offers a space for shared play and construction projects. Your child will be provided with a fresh and nutritious lunch centered around seasonal produce freshly prepared by staff in the school canteen. Students and teachers eat together at lunch time which is a key social moment and allows for enjoyable lessons in healthy eating and table manners.
