The International School of Siena opened in 2010 and has developed and grown considerably during the subsequent years. We are the only IB throughschool in Tuscany, fully authorised for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

Learning at International School of Siena is exciting and engaging, as students strive for excellence in a climate that is caring and responsive to individual needs and goals. Our global vision is coordinated by an outstanding team of educational leaders and implemented by our highly skilled and dedicated professional staff.

We have recently relocated to our stunning new school building where we enjoy a spacious, light, modern teaching spaces with a spacious indoor gym, Drama/Dance studio, two Libraries, Music and Art rooms and Science laboratories fitted out to the highest standards. Our Early Years spaces are specially designed to complement the Reggio Inspired teaching approach.

Learning at the International School of Siena is an international experience with students from around 25 nationalities. This leads to a perception of the world that merges understanding of our global context with the development of skills and attitudes that young people require to participate fully in the world of tomorrow, both as national and global citizens.

At the same time, we deeply appreciate the diversity of mother tongue languages in our school community and aim to utilise our diversity as well as supporting each student to appreciate our host country of Italy and become full bilingual in English and Italian. We are so fortunate to be located in a beautiful area of Tuscany where we have access to a variety of cultural and educational resources in our local area which we strive to incorporate into the experience of the students, making connections between the classroom and the world around us.

We are a welcoming school community in which parents, students and staff work together to provide a stimulating programme, which engages each child in a concept-driven and inquiry-based environment.

International School Europe Kiddy English was founded in February 2015 for children ages 2 to 6, in the centre of Milan.

Based on a long history of the union of tradition and innovation, since 1958, with Aa network based on the encounter of three founding principles: responsibility, understanding and cooperation, all values that help our students to open to the world, to multiculturalism and to cultivate, from the very first years, an international mindset.

At International School Europe Kiddy English, children come first. Every child is unique. We inspire, not just teach. We let children explore, experience and love naturally the world they live in. Inspired directly by the world renowned Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Years Education, the Kiddy English Curriculum offers a holistic inquiry approach to constructivist learning, which is firmly grounded in the expressive arts and in the development of the creative thinking skills necessary for fulfilling your child’s potential in the 21st century.

Our environment, where our children spend their school hours, is of vital importance. Our classrooms are vast, bright and multifunctional spaces with interactive boards and games that allow children to fly with their fantasy. We have an outdoor space with a playing and reading area, where the little ones can have fun outside in total safety. Our gym, a room dedicated to the little ones’ physical activities, is structured to develop and stimulate their sense of space and physical encounters among peers.
