Mandeville Business Leader Chad Bordelon Now Running for Mayor
Mandeville, LA – More than 100 city leaders and Mandeville families gathered on May 7 to celebrate Chad Bordelon declaring his candidacy for
Mayor in the 2020 city election. Bordelon seeks his first public office after several successful local business ventures.
“I love Mandeville. I’ve raised my family here and operated three businesses here over the past 25 years. I plan to retire here” Chad Bordelon, 50 explained to the crowd. “I believe that we need to be focusing on our tax base, proactively engaging our businesses to ensure sustainability against online retailers in the future. I have a particular aptitude for visionary leadership. This will be mission critical for understanding future opportunities in Mandeville and, more importantly, capitalizing on them.”
Bordelon owns and operates the Fleur De Lis Event Center in Mandeville.
He and wife Karen have been married 27 years with five (almost) grown children – their youngest is a senior at Mandeville HS next year.
“The current mayor of Mandeville is stepping down due to term limits. There is no succession path for the office of Mayor, therefore the 2020 election will be an open field of candidates” observed Bordelon. “Through my years of local business experience, I am very qualified and familiar with the inner workings of our city government. I’ve been active from the private side of the table. I am now willing to serve on the public side. This is not a job I need, instead it is a job I’m called to do.” Kick Off Rally
