01 tirering strings around a simpel inflatable body
As distraction fills the studio we wanted to create a space that somewhat separates the student from the tumbling environment. Our installation tries to create a space that is part of neither the studio space nor the outside courtyard. It’s a space that sits in-between. As a starting point we chose to place a table near a window. We wanted to connect the two square-shaped objects with a simple gesture. The installation is part furniture, part clothing, as the student enters the workspace through a small opening - pulling it over ones head and placing it around the waist. With a single rubber band the transition between outside and the installation space is adjustable. It’s easy to manipulate the size with very simple tools. The adjustments slightly change the atmosphere of the space.
