> These are our first steps testing materials and the technique. We developed some simple shapes making conclusions and exchanging experiences with other groups. > The sketches show the idea of the final project.
> Once we have designed the final project, we start drawing patterns
> Once the bubbles are inflated, we start connecting them with each other, creating a path between all three spaces.
SPUME During this project we explored new techniques of creating a space and discovered how air can be used as a building material. At the very beginning of the project we experimented, many different ideas were tested using tiny models. However, after the model making process we realized that the simple shapes maximize the efficiency of the material use and makes the best impression in the bigger scale. Therefore, a sphere was chosen to create a bubble shaped space. To create a more interesting space we worked in collaboration with other three groups. So, our final form of the 1:1 model is a cloud of bubbles interconnected to each other. The model is divided in three different size parts which creates interactive inside space. Finally, this model is like a spume which conveys the concept: ideas attract other ideas and create a final physical shape.
