Who am I? My name is Ledine R. S. Pereira, short Lenny. 25 years old and born in the second smallest island in Africa “São Tomé y Principe” an island where you lose track of time a paradise you wish to stay. I currently live in Hull, but my heart is back home always, at the age of 15 I co-founded an non-governmental organization called The friendly hand of Folha Fede who helps children by donating school materials impoverished areas of STP. I believe children should be given the tools of knowledge because they are our future leaders. Since young age I wanted to be a model and when opportunity came I went for it, and here I am and loving it every second especially because most of the money I make from 12

I am passionate about volunteering and my spare time are spent doing it, I was a volunteer to the Hull City of Culture 2017 and loved showing the good things we have in Hull. I am Politics and International Relations graduate by the University of Hull, currently I work in an office environment which I really enjoy. Coming second in this competition is actually great, specially going hand in hand with an established model, I wish her my best congratulations and to others fellow models who took part and thank to all who took time to vote for us, and thank you Integrity magazine for the opportunity.

Von Vo: Nothing but the best
A year has passed so quickly and I have learnt so much from the incredible people I have met along my journey. Now I know that no matter how many times you have done this shoot in the past you will always get nerves before you take your place in front of the camera and begin to ‘wow’ everyone. There are other gems like always bring safety pins, tape and a brush to photo ops and how to put make up on while travelling to the shoot. That is not to say travelling is always trouble free and trains are harder than buses!! I am lucky to have had nothing but the best experiences with photoshoots in the past, treading through water, chasing sunlight , posing for the 18
photographer wherever he/she wants me and praying it won’t rain and ruin make-up and hair that took 3 hours to complete. The thing is to remain confident no matter what you are being asked to do. The more confident you are the easier it is. 2019 was a busy year and my aim for this year is to find more jobs abroad and work more with the people who have used me already.Ideally I’d like to have a magazine cover....so lets see if that happens. I am enjoying myself so much. ..building a network.of contacts...doing go-sees ..shoots....its the best.

Neil Monaghan Election Night May you live in interesting times; goes the ancient Chinese curse. Well times have certainly been interesting in the political world these last few years. The rise of populism in the US and across Europe, Brexit and the great schism it has created – have all allowed an uglier side of politics to emerge. Inspired, or more accurately terrified by our political direction of travel, I decided to write and direct a film about it. A horror film! I chose to use the trope of the home invasion movie to explore themes of division in society and how this has stoked the fires of hate-crime and bigotry. Election Night features a group of friends who gather to watch the election results on television. Meanwhile violent far-right protestors are rioting in the streets and its not long before these two worlds collide. During the first half of 2019, together with producer Ben Pickering, I assembled a group of highly talented and committed actors to battle it out. It was a gruelling shoot, with long days, high drama and intense, physically challenging fight sequences. This is a film that lives or dies on the strength of the actor’s performances and thankfully our cast delivered in spades. Post-production is nearing completion and we will be releasing the film in the first half of 2020. Somehow our society needs to evolve into something far better than what we have. Something kinder, with greater equality that does not tolerate hatred. I hope, in some small way, our movie Election Night will add to the vital debate that will hopefully lead us to a brighter future. Photo credit – Emma Barrott

Ella Greenwood
I’m Ella Greenwood, an 18-year-old actor & producer from London. I have been acting for many years, on stage, screen and with voice-overs. I’m a member of the National Youth Theatre and was recently called a ‘Rising Young Acting Talent’ by David Duprey of That Moment In and ‘one of those “up-and-comers” to watch circumspectly’ by Entertainment Writer Ruth Hill. After finishing my A-levels last summer, I began work on producing my first film. I’ve always loved the idea of being able to create and share my own stories. Faulty Roots is my upcoming short film which is about the friendship between two teens and the effect that depression has on different aspects of a teenager’s life. I knew that I wanted to share an important story and so I set about with the aim of promoting mental health awareness in teens. I wrote, produced, directed and acted in the film. I had an amazing team of people who helped me along the way, and I also had 24
great supporters who shared news of my film, contributed to the crowdfunding campaign and some who also came on board as producers. I knew that I wanted to promote and support female filmmakers and so hired a majority female crew. I needed to find the right actors to share the story and so cast the young actor Sani Thabo who I had seen in a film which was screened at the BFI and the talented actress Sarah Eastwood who I had worked with previously on the film In Front of You. They both did an incredible job. We’re currently getting the film through the last stages of post before it is completed and then will be submitting it to many film festivals across the globe. Faulty Roots was my first time on the other side of the camera and I enjoyed the whole process so much that I am currently working with a few writers and will be producing more projects in 2020. I also have a few films and other projects that I acted in that are scheduled to be released soon as well.

tors attending. The youngest I met, were an outstanding couple of eighteen years olds who had just released a short film about teenage mental health issues. Also of note Louisa Nairne,an actress and writer, currently writing a sitcom, assisted by Jay her producer was talking about her project. Follow her on IG @louinairne. The Fan Carpet, the organisation that was started in 2004 to be the red carpet for film going fans and now has some 55,000 users, were busy discussing all manner of activities. Corina Jane who is instrumental in organising many things for The Fan Carpet was busy conducting interviews for the website for much of the evening. The Fan Carpet runs lots of promotions on their website which I promised to mention. (www,thefancarpet.com) The 4th Gold Movie awards night are on 9th January at the Regent Street Cinema and to raise funds for them there were several prizes to be won, the top prize being an overnight stay at a Grange Luxury Hotel. It was an interesting Networking event and film focussed rather than Christmas which made it all the more enjoyable. Quote of the evening came from Tony Fadil, who said ‘Wherever you go leave a good impression.’ This event certainly achieved that. Photographer Robert Meader did an amazing job taking photos of celebrities, actors, actresses, producers, directors and influencers on the red carpet. Director Jesse Lin and his short film ‘Poached’. Poached is a multi-award winning short film by LA based director/writer Jesse Lin. Based in an airstream trailer situated in a Western style Canyon desert setting, the story has only two characters, Jack (Simon Martin) and Charlie (Charlie Clapham). I connected with Jesse via Skype after meeting actor and musician Simon Martin at The Gold movie Awards Pre-Party, held at Upper House, a pub/club in the heart of Islington London.
Andrew Mayling, composer, singer-songwriter and session musician from Oxford, UK and member of the band Boxer Rebellion, has been touring as guitarist, with BRIT nominated singer Freya Ridings. He is currently working on is own and EP and his first single ‘Rockpools’ is out now.
I asked Lin about the concept behind Poached and why he chose Simon and Charlie to play the lead characters. He explained that the storyline came about because of his fascination with coming of age and overcoming one’s own darkness. Poached certainly delivers on that. His interest in both fairy tales and gangsters transfers onto screen and the viewer is left with an aftertaste of intrigue and wonder with the roll of the credits.
What I particularly find endearing about Jesse Lin, is his ethical and fair attitude towards his crew. When most directors and producers struggle to find funding for their projects, let alone pay the crew, Lin ensured that each of his crew members received fair payment for the five days of filming on Poached. It’s this attitude, along with his ability to turn an idea into a multi award winning film, that will ensure this young director goes far. Jesse Lin is definitely a name to watch in the competitive world of film-making.
Simon and Jesse met at school and the director always knew he wanted them to work together on this film. As well as an award winning actor, Simon is also an accomplished musician, having toured rock clubs around the world.
I asked Jesse for some tips for aspiring filmmakers. He quoted Elliot Lister, Director of the film Nightingale…’You must be brave.’ In my opinion, that definitely sums up this amazing young director.
Charlie Clapham, is a TV and film actor best known for his portrayal of Freddie Roscoe in Channel 4’s television series Hollyoaks. Apart from winning the Best Acting Duo award at LA’s Index Film Festival alongside Simon, his accolades include nominations for Best Actor and Best Newcomer for his role in Hollyoaks.
- Paula Clark
Lin had a strong crew in place for the film, including Producer and Production Designer Jacqueline Puwalski, Director of Photography and cinematography Sara Ross-Samko, Composer Ahmed Al Abaca and Co-composer and Score Producer Andrew Mayling. When I met up with Jesse, Simon and Andrew at The Gold Movie Awards in Regents Street Cinema, London last week, they had just achieved their third award for Poached – namely Best Song, which Mayling co-composed. 30

Resonate Parties Resonate Parties came into Fruition early last year in 2019 We set out to build a dedicated website, where our community could buy tickets for events As well as read DJ Biographies, and keep up to date with all things Resonate. We are dedicated to putting on Quality House Music events, but we give a percentage to Macmillan Cancer Support. Our Launch event in August was a huge success at the Kings Head members Club in Shoreditch, it’s a quirky venue and we bravely took on 3 rooms playing the best in Soulful, Vocal House, with a Tech house room for the harder House Head. Everson Allen half of the Respected Rat Pack attended and kindly called out the Raffle Number’s we had for items that were donated to raise money for Macmillan. We were given a painting by the talented artist Davey Brown, a leather handbag from Paul Smith, and T shirts from Future Past Clothing. It’s not easy to conduct raffle in a club environment so we won’t be doing that again but we raised just under £1000 pounds for Macmillan and they were delighted. We returned in November to the same venue, and we raised just under £600 minus the raffle, so we will keep on giving back but will not compromise on the quality of our parties. We have discovered new talent and bought them to Resonate Parties to play for us. One duo two young girls from Manchester Nakia Oliver and Fabienne Oliver appeared recently and they took the roof off. They have since made their debut on Radio one Dance, The show was a huge success and I have to say we were so proud to be affiliated with them. We are delighted to have the girls back in London on February 29th, we are hosting an event called “Red or dead” at the Red Rooms, The old Blitz club famous for Spandau ballet, boy George, Steve Strange, It later went on to be Browns Private members Club. We have a series of 4 parties booked at this venue, and we are super excited. Future dates are February 29th, April 11th we have an all-female line-up some very talented ladies indeed. 38
We wanted to try something different, and we are creating some buzz online with this announcement. Our Friends at Reconnect have in the last 5 years put on amazing Boat Parties in London, and we were approached to host the after party on June 6th, this is a Collaboration between 4 promoters Culture Shock, Reconnect, and Havin IT and of course the new kid on the block Resonate Parties. We have other events in the pipeline and a special party in planning for our 1 year birthday. To add things into the mix further, myself and Dan Power have launched Resonate AM this is an Artist Mangement Platform. We basically showcase DJ’s Profiles on our website, and this will become a platform for promoters and club owners to book DJ’s easily and in the comfort of knowing we are dedicated in finding the right DJ for the right event. We are proud to have Trevor Fung, Chelsea Singh, Owen Clarke, Lenny Fontana to name a few. We continue to find new talent and give them an opportunity to play for resonate Parties and get the exposure they need to become the Artists of the future. DJ’s to watch out for as well as the young sisters, are Carter and Elijah Jones, young thirsty guns that always deliver in their sets. God Willing 2020 is looking to be very fruit full for Paul Dawes and Dan Power AKA Resonate Parties and Resonate AM

TONNIC The New Year has got off to a great start, with new recordings and exciting projects. There is the release of the new 4 track EP: Rejoice. A collaboration with my good friend, DJ and producer, Nik Denton on his Tool Box House Label, which celebrates its 16th Anniversary. ‘Music always energises me; I just love to perform.’ And throughout my career, music has provided many opportunities to travel the world, from Europe, America, South Africa; and most recently, Macau China. I am always passionate about what I do, and another aspect is working with my new band. The rehearsals are under way, preparing for premium London venues, and upcoming summer UK festivals. Other projects include the creative development to showcase UK talent: songwriters, performers, DJ’s, spoken word artistes and so on.

I will always have a finger on the pulse of the club scene, because that is where it all began for me, since those early years of 24-hour clubbing @ Trade, Turnmills. Welcoming the New Decade performing at Egg London, with Trade founder; promoter, and club owner @EGG LND Laurence Malice, is testament this. The end of January 2020 will find me in Rome Italy, to perform at the super club brand Muccassassina 30th Birthday celebration. I was also asked by the club’s creative director Diego Longobardi to write, and record the vocals for the club’s new anthem: Runway with DJ and music producer Enrico Meloni, I believe that looking back is an integral to moving forward. The past is set as the marker; to show where you are from, how far you have come, and indeed, where you are going. Stay Blessed.

SHEENA BRATT
Hi there! I’m UK-based multi-genre vocalist and guitarist Sheena Bratt, thank you Integrity Magazine for inviting me to discuss my projects. I use music and my network to help promote environmental and social solutions, for example; optimal food growing and The Venus Project’s proposals for abundance, sustainability and peace, using the best emerging science and technology for all, in a Resource-Based Economy. I have given solutions-focused presentations at events, and discussed clean energy on BBC TV’s Sunday Politics. I also have experience modelling, marketing, proofreading, radio presenting, DJ-ing, playing percussion in clubs, I did a Law & Philosophy degree, a PGCE and was a teacher. I’ve been creating and performing music since childhood; it’s a lifelong love that has led to my involvement with techno, D&B, acoustic, pop/ folk-rock, house and trance releases. House EP ‘Enigma’ by Cael Ralph featuring myself, and a Phuturephil remix, released October 2019 on Silent Koalas, has been played by DJs including Simon Sinfield (Frisky Radio), Mateo Paz (Poland’s Kielce FM) and Wilson Costa (France’s 42
Warm FM). Thanks for all the support! I’m also Venus Rising’s singer and rhythm guitarist; in 2019 we played at the IPO Festival in Liverpool’s Cavern Club, and supported the Phil Hilborne Band at The Robin 2. We’re currently working on a follow up EP to our debut album. In 2018 I sang live house twice at Jonathan Ulysses’ Ibiza Hive (UK) with Cael Ralph DJ-ing, and I’ve sang live trance with Hemstock & Jennings. In December 2018, Black Hole released ‘Time Stood Still’ by Adam White & AJ Gibson featuring myself, which was premiered by Sied van Riel at Melbourne Arena’s Subculture event. I’m currently working with producers in various genres. I’m also a solo acoustic artist; with my guitar I’ve played live around the UK, in Luxembourg, Thailand, on TV Globo (Brazil) and was solo support to Glenn Tilbrook (UK). I’m excited about a recently announced solo acoustic gig at the #OnePureSea Beach House event in Fuerteventura April 2021, featuring beach and ocean cleans, headlined by Alex P, Toni Oneto, Jason Bye etc. Thanks for reading! DEAN SHERRY PHEVER We celebrated 5 years in existence in 2019, so very recently in December we celebrated with an end of year 5th birthday event, open to the public (limited), in Dublin’s Jam Park venue (x-Wright Venue) for our team, friends and lucky guests.
reaction and testament to 5 years hard work justified.
I spent over 5 years as resident DJ & booker in the Wright Venue, so being no stranger to these surroundings was delighted to take over one fo the room/areas to host our PHEVER 5th Birthday & combined end of year Christmas crew event. Taking host over the Back Bar room we firstly installed a monstrous Funktion One soundsystem, DJ monitors and DJ booth to allow our selection of guest DJs perform in proper audio style for the event - huge thanks to Collie & Hertz Hire for this - highly recommended for indoor/outdoor event hire nationwide. Seeing as we represent the sound of the Irish underground, we felt definite need to enhance the room we had secured to be a little better sounding and looking for this particular event… the 5K system in a confined space limited to 120-150ppl as you can imagine absolutely rooooocked!
Duvz aka Jamie Carroll Adrain Bilt Ciaran Healy Conor Dunne Gary Seery Ev Wilde Sean O’ Brien Gracey Friel Emmet O C Paul Mc Clelland Niall Hanlon & Shane Keville (Aurag) Frank Kearney James Moran Michael Corkery (Open Deck)
The team now behind JamPark involving Bodytonic, District 8 & much more have really turned this site around and have set about firmly putting it onto the global map for credible underground clubbing - with the main room now reminiscent of London’s Printworks - and the sound & lighting really set the tone for this in a unique & entertaining way that will thankfully nurture new generations of clubbers hopefully for many years to come in a fast evaporating nightlife scene in the capital this is very much needed - so long may they last. And Give Us The Night :) Back to our own festivities… we had approximately two thirds of our large extended team in attendance, plus some partners, friends and as mentioned lucky members of the public that signed up (for free) to this festive event by online application. The event sold out over room-capacity actually, but was an immense 44
So while the main District8 room hosted Maceo Plex & Ellen Allien playing downstairs, we featured a rotation of our own talent including:
-And the room was rammed all night! As a special on this occasion, we also featured the Annual PHEVER:Awards - an internal show of appreciation to those that most deserved based on continued listenership ratings & consistency; so super proud to congratulate: Highest Rated Shows Overall: Nitelink hosted by The Dirtbirds The Gay Burn Show hosted by Paddy & Karen The Best Sets hosted by Hugo Mc Cann Most Consistent Listenership: Tony Murray (The Beatcounter) Shane O’ Connor (Halcyon Sundaze) Gary Egan (SmasHau5) Adrian Bilt (Sound Vibration) Gracey Friel (House Arrest) best specialist show: Reggae Richie (People’s Choice)
Best Newcomer(s): Paul Mc Clelland (Solo House Sessions) - Gary Seery (Strings Of Life) And finally - Best Overall Comeback/ Chancer award: Karl Byrne (Reflex Radio) Huge congratulations to all the winners it’s not possible to award everyone involved but massive thank you as a whole to our entire live team from the management group

TREMENDOUS The Debut Album “Relentless” is now due out early 2020. Whats Going down A paper blog of Pete Brazier aka The Original Zombie @ Vertical Rooms Studio. A massive 2020 hello from us all here over at Cambridge’s award winning music production facility Vertical Rooms. Its been a steaming festive break and we are primed and chomping at the bit for what this year is going to bring. Although we have releases cued up for My Bad Sister , The Loves Lost , Toby and R.T.Brook as mentioned in the previous Integrity Magazine in December we also have some special magic coming from one of our most secret underground heroes Coebe. For those who know nothing about the urban sonic magician, Coebe has been nurturing an uber mellow chilled audio pallet of the freshest noise this side of the Atlantic for the last few years and only now is some of it about to come to fruition for 2020 in the shape of his E.P. and full album Sweet Dreams. Coebe hails from the very same tiny Hertfordshire village that Uk legends Pink Floyd lived and worked in and made some of their finest noise from. Coebe explains. ‘When you get right up here in the village you are in one of the highest places in the U.K. and not only is it incredibly beautiful and inspiring it also makes your ears pop like when you are on a plane and that simple thing alone makes mellow music sound right at home up here. When I first met Zombie it was clear we both had a real passion for alternative noise and things on the front edge of mellow and almost ambient sounds - when Zombie mentioned Brian Eno I knew we were on the same page’ After a low key release on an indie label who promised the world Coebe and Zombie were stuck tighter than dentures with some label wrangling’s that went on and on so now after much heat they are finally launching their own label The Sauce Records (TSR) to cater for them initially and moving forward a whole heap of other underground cutting edge uber chilled acts and live events. Coebe says ‘ There is no hard and fast model , we are playing this close to our chest as we feel we are the crest 48
of the wave here not the aftermath. We believe in being the wave and leading the way to places other dare not risk to go. If you feel you are cutting edge then get involved. Madly hyped to see what 2020 brings’. Sweet Dreams E.P. out January31st 2020 on The Sauce Records.

The story so far... Rinaldo Montezz started making re-mixes in the early eigthies at the age of 11,just simply with a tapedeck, mixer and two recordplayers. With this he won several tapemixing contests. R.A.M. Productions After a meeting with a few good friends, Manuel Goncalves and Arne “sd” Peyer, they decided to form a remix and production team called R.A.M. Productions, which was later enforced by a fourth dj called Richen Diaz. Started in 1990 with small mixes for a local radiostation called delta radio, they knew they wanted to make bigger and longer mixes. Inspired by ben liebrand, who was making the grandmixes for radio Veronica, they knew it for sure: “this is what we want to do”. So they started to produce their first yearmix and it was recieved very positivly everywhere. Especialy by local radio stations as salsa fm , barendrecht fm and many more. R.A.M Productions won a remix contest on radio 538 with their “coolmix”, and where asked to make monthly mixes for stads radio rotterdam program: turbulentie. Finally after 5 years of making small mixes and yearmixes they were asked by Veronica fm to make a yearmix for them. And so they made the yearmix for veronica fm in ‘96-’97-’98. They also produced , as Clup 4 , four dance tracks on vinyl. This was on the label 7 clup records. These tracks were often played on the tmf television show : “ the d.j.’s “ and also where several times in the dancecharts. Rinaldo Montezz Now , only Rinaldo is producing remixes and tracks. Various in styles and always looking for boundaries. All those years (more than 20 years) he also played in several clubs like: Danssalon - the Escape - the Challenge , and for almost 20 years as the residence d.j. at the Gay Palace Nightclub in Rotterdam – the Netherlands. 52
Now Rinaldo is free for bookings all over the world. His music style varies from commercial (club) tunes to pumpin’ remixes of populair tracks, some made by Rinaldo himself. Rinaldo: “ it’s a great way to test my remixes on a audience. They are very rigorous on what they like and dislike, so they are the best jury and the judge”. Rinaldo’s personal style is very broad. From funky grooves with good vocals, anthem styled remixes to pumping tribal sounds which is guaranteed to make the people wild ! Still active in the dancescene, remixing and producing for various great names and new and upcoming artists. Rinaldo: “ Often, i get only the vocals from a song, and i’m asked to build a new track around it... and that’s okay, because i love the challenge. But it doesn’t matter how long you are doing this, i’m always very nervous to hear what they think about what you have done to their “baby”. I’m honored to be working with some of the greatest artists and producers i admired since i was a kid, and to be asked for projects ( e.g. Peace Project ) where we can mean something for the world”. The remixing, producing and deejaying will continue. So you haven’t heard the last from the musical centipide: Rinaldo Montezz ....His story will continue...

PETER ROSS Peter Ross is not just a DJ; behind that performance is an individual of many skills. It’s been said he gets away with so many innuendos when he’s on the Radio, known for a very tongue in cheek delivery, but as most performers it’s an act and one he admits to being a passion. What is good Radio? Peter says; “It should be spontaneous and not pre programmed, who knows what can happen prior to the day and it’s important to react to events whether silly news or listeners feedback. Too many stations are programmed by people who know nothing about music, blandness seems to be the norm, what a shame”. So who is Peter Ross? Peter started off in retail in London’s West End and did very well as a young man, but it wasn’t enough. Peter became a DJ in London’s highly fashionable Night Club, ‘Legends’ where he was selected to supply the music for Elizabeth Taylor’s special birthday party in the 80’s. Peter recalls asking a friend to help out (Paul Gambaccini) so he wouldn’t play the wrong thing. This was a platform for Peter. Next, Radio for real, Pennine Radio and then a break on Radio Luxembourg. Other stations to his credit, Southern Sound, Jazz FM and a brief stint in the States and France. There are several celebrity interviews of Peter on YouTube. Realising radio could not fulfil his ambition, Peter became an entrepreneur and starting a franchise that turned into a money-spinner; property and other opportunities followed, and he invented an in-car storage system sold Worldwide. Over the last 10 years Peter started a music streaming service and represented Artists: Produced West End Shows, and has been associated with; Brian May, Trevor Horn, Rick Wakeman, Russ Ballard and Nile Rogers the list go on. Summed up; Peter admits that he’s a middleman, putting great ideas and people together. His present venture is with Samsung supplying full refurbishment on huge LED screens and infrastructure for Stadiums and Cricket Venues in which his son Tom is his business partner.

IRISH SARAH Sarah Lacey is the director of talent managment at one of the two most exclusive Miami Nightclubs. Sarah Arrived in the town only seven years prior, with no contacts and no where to live. Since she has managed to build up her career and now takes care of world renouned A-List celebrities on a weekly basis. Her personality combined with her multi-tasking ability have enabled her to climb up the ranks in the two biggest nightclubs in the area, LIV and STORY. “I’m dealing with Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, all these amazing women. I remember one night walking into our club, one of the A-list celebrities complimented me on my top, and I immediately, and it’s so Irish, I said ‘Oh thanks but I got it in Penneys’. And I remember she caught my hand and said, ‘Darling take the compliment and never put yourself down”

While the tables can run from upwards of $10,000 a night, Sarah ensures that the guests aren’t only paying for the table, but access to celebrities. She knows people spend years saving up for the experience so she wants to give them the best night she can. Sarah was the daughter of a butcher and her new life seems miles away from her humble backstory, but there was a sales drive building up in her life that ultimately pushed her to book the ticket to Miami and begin her new life. “I got a taste for selling something,” she explained. “I researched where to go, it was Miami, Vegas or Ibiza - Ibiza was seasonal, so I booked a one way ticket to Miaim. I had no contacts. I was so hungry and driven, I hounded the bosses of these clubs and I put everything into it. I cut back on drinking, i’d say my prayers every night, it was what i wanted to do.
“People will say, what’s Kanye and Kim or Beyonce like. I get on with them well and I will handle them from start to finish because we talk about what’s real. We talk about being humbled. I wouldn’t push it [religion] on people, but to have faith and know where you came from, it pays my bills, I bought a farmhouse in Cork and that’s where I plan to live. This is just to make money and go home.”

GRAHAM GOLD Well it was a hectic time over the festive season here in non Koh Phangan in Thailand with gigs pretty much every night- the highlight was the 6000 people party at Jungle Experience which saw Huxley headlining-I played before himwhat a nice guy too! Received the shocking news today about the spiritual home of Peach, Koko (Camden Palace) on fire-and watched all the videos too-so tragic. Fingers crossed the first reports about just the roof being damaged are true! So into 2020, and producing more is at the top of my list-especially as I just forked out for the Ableton 10 Suite upgrade! I am in the studio right now, once again with Jourdan Bordes-they guy I wrote ‘Spulig’ with, which did really well when released on Dynamica mid-2019. Also, It is just finding the time because I live 300 metres from the beach and I want some beach time!! But and more realistically, these first few months are always spent promoting the Peach Reunions which take place every Easter-this year we are back again at The Steel Yard-the venue got the huge thumbs up from all the Peachy Ravers who attended in 2019. Our headliner this year will be Dave Pearce-we chose Dave because he gives people what they want-the big classics, and this allows me to be a bit more anal in my track selection. After all, there was a lot of amazing trance between 1997 and 2002, and in all my classic trance sets I try to be less obvious and avoid the MOS Trance Anthems classics. Plus, we are back in Ibiza May 16-23 for the Old Skool Ibiza week, and this needs working on to. It is possible I MAY spend much of the summer in Ibiza this year if some plans I am working on come to fruition-and then mid-August head off to the U.S, for a 4 week tour someone is working on for me-and that will take in Burning Man-I have NEVER been and of course it is top of my bucket list.

DEREK CARR 2019 finished with Derek Carr rocking the house in Galway. Another weekend and another fantastic gig. Dublin, Leeds, Berlin, Paris and London are some of the highlights of the past 18 months for the resurgent Derek Carr, arguably Ireland’s finest exponent of melodic techno. Starting off as a Producer via his own imprint Trident and then with Nice & Nasty, Derek offered the Irish public a clean, crisp and soulful blend of Detroit techno that was unlike other popular or club techno of the time. Alongside Fabrice Lig, Arne Weingberg and Erell Ranson, Carr was avoiding the cliched minimal sound, the over hyped hard sound and creating a beautiful, soulful sound often aptly referred to as Hi Tech Soul. Early vinyl Eps on Copper Beach (trident), Futuristic Overtones (Nice & Nasty) and then Headspace, Geek and Dgitial Soul, all of our selling for a small fortune on discogs these days, paved the way for Derek’s seminal LP, Science & Soul on CD and Download on Nice & Nasty. A few digital releases on Nice & Nasty and some gone by and a resurgence in Derek as a DJ, Live act and producer in tandem with the resurgence of vinyl has witnessed Derek release on labels like For those that knoe, Subwax, Ferox, and Firescope have placed Derek firmly among the true pioneers of UK and European techno. Born and raised in Westmeath (west of Dublin), Derek got an early taste for finely crafted melodic techno through labels such as Warp and Network‘ and pioneers of the Hypnotic Groove’. Having been a fan of bands such as Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode through his formative years, Derek felt drawn to this new sound coming from Detroit, Sheffield and Leeds and it is of no surprise that Derek’s journey has taken him to work with the likes of John Shima,(firescope) and Steven Rutter of B12 fame and of course Firescope. “it couldn’t happen to a nicer fella and great musician and I hope his success continues” stated Dave Ingham of Nice & Nasty records. Next up for Derek are gigs in Bristol (17/01) and Dublin 18/01) and then Back to Berlin (29/02) with new 12” Warm machine on his own im60
print Trident in February, a double 12 inch with Belrin’s Pariter (Sushitech) and then a brand new LP on Firescope this summer and maybe the end of 2020 will feature the much anticipated release of the seminal Science & Soul on vinyl via Nice & Nasty.

6 Key ‘Self-Promises,’ to Help you Succeed in 2020 By: Linda Steele I promise that this is not going to be a column telling you how to set goals for the upcoming year. If the only time you commit to goal-setting in January 1 of each year, I regret to inform you that you will not be running a hedge fund by December 31. Adopting these six key ‘self-promises,’ will be a huge step towards achieving your goals for 2020 and beyond! 1) Do what you say you will do for yourself or someone else. Be reliable, dependable, follow through on promises. Never make a promise you can’t keep and be sure those you are promising are worth the effort. This will require you to think before you speak, (which can be a challenge for some of us!) Saying no is not an easy thing, but is absolutely essential to achieving your goals. 2) Be prepared to adapt to change when life comes at you fast! Sometimes there are no warnings before things go off track. Be prepared to change gears and re-prioritize. Being able to adapt and thrive despite obstacles makes the reward even greater once your goal is realized! 3) Make friends, not enemies. Networking can be time-consuming, but embracing these opportunities when presented can be helpful in unanticipated ways. I’ve been known to strike up conversations on the plane discussing projects I’m excited about. Be friendly! You never know… the person you’re talking to may be helpful! 4) Do not take things personally. We’ve all had a bad day for no good reason. Allow others to have an opinion and hope your positive behav66
ior encourages them to respect yours. If you learn how to master this more than 90% of the time, let me know and I will get you a book deal and a talk show. Seriously. 5) Find one good quality in everyone. Positive input and opinions are powerful! If you spend more than 45 seconds in trying to determine one positive quality, it is time to RUN! 6) Like who you are. If you do not like who you are, it is time to figure out why. Let me caution you: Know who you are first, and make sure you are not changing a characteristic to accommodate someone else. Pleasing one, can disappoint another. Incorporating these ‘self-promises,’ into your routine can create good habits that set you up for success! Results and progress do not happen overnight no matter what you are trying to accomplish, but if you don’t take the first step, you’ll never hit the final step!

Rebalance, Mind body & soul
just the CBD I was needing and not so much the THC as well. Q) We know your brand name is Rebalance (mind body & Soul) but what made you come up with that name?.
Award winning actor and film maker Marcus J Langford has set out on a new mission, as you may be aware in November 2018 the government in the uk changed it’s stance on medical cannabis and with this in mind Marcus took himself to his GP thinking for the first time in his life he was going to finally be able to get safe access to his preferred medication from his doctor and not a street dealer. How wrong was he for thinking that. So after asking the doctor and being refused he went on to ask if the doctor realized we had what’s called an Endocannabinoid system within our bodies. Her reply was no!. This then lead him to the conclusion that he was going to have to try and boot this door open somehow himself and took to the internet. Having already done over 10years of research into the medical benefits of cannabis it just seemed like the right thing to do. Now buying his own products online, his suppliers put a post on the internet about the UK’s first ever Hemp and CBD expo of it’s kind and it was happening at the NEC in Birmingham. Just days after he decided to start selling cbd supplements it was like the universe wanted to help him make this happen. Marcus went along to the expo and got to meet face to face with some fantastic companies, manufacturers and most importantly for him the owners of the said companies. After spending the day there he walked away with some of the best contacts in the industry from around the world.
A) Well that’s simple really, I strongly believe due to all the years of research I’ve ever done that cannabis is what really balances us back out properly thanks to our bodies own Endocannabinoid system.
Q) What was the reason you started using CBD yourself?
Q) Does running this company mean you are no longer Acting and film making?
A) I had been a cannabis smoker most of my life due to mental health illnesses that steamed from childhood trauma. I suffer from bipolar type 2, unstable personality disorder (A FORM OF PTSD) depression and anxiety. So I found smoking cannabis was the only thing that really helped me whilst leaving my personality intact. Once I learnt about the science behind why cannabis worked so well I knew it was actually
A) Hell no!!!, this is just my passion project that’s to help other people. Acting and film making is great but it’s a very unstable life financially so I’ll just try my best to continue doing both!. It’s more a therapy than a job. It’s my first passion. The Haunting of Alcatraz is next to be released anytime now and then Tribal that I filmed the BTS on. After that it’s onto filming the Krays new blood and I’m really looking for-
76
Q) What made you go that extra step and launch your own brand?. A) It just seemed like a natural progression really and I’d had a couple of customers that said they didn’t really like the hemp taste of the full spectrum oils I was supplying from other companies. I knew I could have my own made that were actually different flavours and they tasted great too. So I jumped in with two feet really. Q) What products do you currently sell. A) I currently stock a wide range of products from cbd bath bombs, cbd Vape liquids, cbd tinctures, vape pens and I’d say our best selling products are the balms and muscle rubs that are applied topically. I also have just launch a lovely tattoos butter and helps with the recovery process. Q) Are your products lab tested. A) Yes I think it’s very important that all of our products are third party lab tested. A report is available on request for all our products.
ward to that one as it’s a brutal role.
Q) where can we find your cbd products?. A) I’m available online only at the moment. Go to www.hinckleycbd.co.uk Or social media fb, instagram and Twitter. @hinckleycbd

BLACK AND CLASS GLAMOUR This is a shoot conducted as a charity event. We raised funds and presented them to a young lady at West Jefferson High School in Harvey, La. Model/event coordinator: ReRe Models: Shon (La’Shondra Bridges), Breiona Simone and Bryan Anthony
Shon (La’Shondra Bridges) ReRe
Model/actress who loves to give back to the community. Has several outreach programs dedicated to encouraging others, raising donations for the homeless and less fortunate. Before I accepted this call though I wanted it so bad, still I was too afraid. After battling health issues and near death I knew if I trusted God to bring me through that, then there was no sense in being afraid of anything else. So here I am, jumped in fully and loving it! 80
La’Shondra Bridges(20) Louisiana native Texas resident . I have a passion for working with children and am currently working on my cosmetology license. I hesitated with getting into modeling at first because of anxiety and poor self esteem issues. I didn’t believe I was “pretty enough” or that my body was nice enough to be in front of the camera. Slowly I overcame and am still overcoming those thoughts and my hope is to show others that you control how far you can go. There is no limit besides the one you set for yourself.
Breiona Simone
My name is Breiona Simone, I was born and raised in New Orleans. Ever since a young child modeling has always made me feel empowered and as if I mattered. I wanna be a model because , I love Being on the other side of the lens . When I’m modeling nothing else matters in the world. I’m as fierce as I want be, as confident as I seek to be, an as photogenic as I aspire to be.
Bryan Anthony
hi Bryan James Anthony. I'm a very versatile, interesting and funny model. I love to find art and beauty in every part the world offers. I want males to know it is OK to be beautiful.

Bellissima Bella ! "You don't always get what you want but when I'd said I'd love to go to Cannes last year that I actually would!!" It was breathtaking to be at one of the world's leading film festivals. And be a part of something incredible. It was jaw dropping. I met so many incredible people. Some have become close friends. Meeting people was very much what 2019 was about. I met the designer Iris Rodriguez who had me walk her catwalk at the Scottish International Festival. which was extremely exciting....additionally I have also walked in London Fashion Week and ~Paris Fashion Week. Fortunately I have an agency, Quillans and Brendan and his team work hard on my behalf and the signs are that 2020 will be an even better year.

Netherwxrld Syndicate
Netherwxrld Syndicate are an artistic collective made up of two members; FeeLaRouge & Lord Noir. Both share a vision to shape the future of music, fashion and all things creative; with an extremely D.I.Y. approach. FeeLaRouge works primarily within Graphic Design/Videography/Photography, but also designs clothes and makes music. Lord Noir best known as an “Alt Hip-Hop” artist, also designs clothes and dabbles in Photography, but mainly writes, produces and distributes his own music. Together, the pair have already started a street clothing brand named ‘Netherwxrld’, and an independent record label known as - Netherwxrld Syndicate Records - which they plan to use as a platform for releasing their own music. Their hopes are to eventually sign on other artists that fit the bill, and expand into other various creative businesses. The concept behind Netherwxrld Syndicate was to make a unique scene that reflects all of their life experiences/inspirations; which allows them to express themselves through their various forms of art. Not only that, but; Netherwxrld also creates a way for them to escape from reality, where nothing has to conform to the norm. Through this, they hope to inspire others to do the same. To live their lives by their own standards, and to not let social expectations or standards hold them back. Make sure to check out Lord Noir’s new single “Gum Drops”, which will be released this February on all major streaming platforms. For any more information or collaborations please contact them via their social medias. Amber-Lauren Ballantyne-Styles I’m Amber-Lauren Ballantyne-Styles, a 19 year old professional commercial artist and I bypassed university in order to launch my brand Amber-Lauren Fine Art. I secured the mentoring of The Prince’s Trust in April 2014 and become an Ambassador for the Trust so I can help other young people in their quest to make their vocational dreams come true. My art business developed out of adversity when I was harangued by my acrobatic gymnastics coach at the age of 13. If you’re reading this whilst having a coffee break, all will be revealed if you watched a Youtube video that my Mum made to help me through this difficult period in my life. It is important to me to champion young girls with body image and bullying issues. Last year I donated a painting for auction to B-eat, the UK’s largest eating disorder charity, to help raise funds and awareness. Having been home educated from the age of 11, I was accepted into college a year early where I studied for a Diploma in Art and Design. I went on to do a Foundation in A&D to secure a university place at The Ruskin in Oxford where their admission limit is 24 per year out of thousands of hopefuls! I wasn’t one of the lucky few, but this was to be the catalyst that motivated me to start my business plan – and most importantly getting a collection of art together! As well as several exhibitions in the UK, my work is now in the following galleries – Art for Art’s Sake in Twyford, Berkshire and The Burford Garden Company Art Gallery in the Cotswolds. My first exhibition was in Oxford, I was 17 and it attracted the press, TV and radio and from then on, I never looked back! I’ve been featured in several online magazines and I’ve won three huge Art Awards this year. My clients include Pirelli F1 Motorsport, a large UK Hotel chain and celebrity author and former Bond Girl actress, Fiona Fullerton. I’ve procured some great testimonials from Sir Richard Branson, Sonia Meaden (mother of Deborah Meaden from The Dragon’s Den!), Fiona Fullerton and New York art critic, James Skully from Wallbreakers. 104
Thanks to the wonders of Social Media, I’ve sold much of my art and I’m currently in talks with a New York artist with whom I am discussing a show in Manhattan . I’m also working on a very exciting Art Show project in London with The Cult House and its creator, J A Neto from Brazil. I recently won an award with Eli-Chem Resins Uk Ltd., (suppliers of the resin glaze I use on many of my paintings) and my inclusion on this site was part of a cash/product prize. As a direct result of being on Artist’s Info, I’m now in talks with a very young artist and her mother from New Hampshire, northern USA. There are so many parallels to this gifted artist and myself, it’s quite uncanny! I know my story and success so far has been a great inspiration to this family. Amaranthia Sepia Gittens-Jones the artist whose name is above mine on this site’s listing, is using her art to help heal the emotional scars caused by her perpetrators. Like myself, this is already stirring the interest of the media in the USA and is catapulting her into the eyes of art collectors! Amarathia (AmaSepiaChan) and I have also done much charitable work and my most recent donation to the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity was held in the prestigious Berkeley Square in London’s Mayfair where my painting outsold a Tracey Emin and was auctioned alongside a Salvador Dali and a Sir Peter Blake! On a day to day basis, I teach art to children and adults one-to-one and in groups in my art studio in Garsington, Oxford, UK. I have a stunning collection of Italian silk scarves/wall hangings using my art for the designs and I hope to launch these products in the near future at The Prince’s Trust’s Tomorrow’s Store! For more information and to purchase my Art, please go to my website.

Poems by Paula Love Clark FALLING I fell. Under your charming spell. In a pub, over a pint of cider. June hot days, when college was over. How could I have known, You’d be the one to share my life? Someday you’d be hubby and I your wife. Finding love, light and joy, Over a pint of Bulmer’s Dry.

HEARTBREAK Cracking, splintering, aching heart,
Wretched, crying, bleeding, disintegrated, Pounding, yelling drum. Beating, yearning, dulled and broken, A symbol of my love; a token, That you stole with needy, greedy hands. Swore blind you would protect it. Instead you cut it clean in half And sorrow came and ate it. Promises of lovers’ futures, Betrayed in simple measures. You talked, then walked, did not look back. And I fell to knees you bastard. I will rise up, I will declare, My Queenhood and my power, But for now I slump in broken parts, A heartbreak to get over.

A Global Sleep Out to Call for an End to Global Homelessness For one night, in backyards, hometowns and iconic locations across the globe, we will sleep out in unison to create the world’s largest display of solidarity with and support of those experiencing homelessness and displacement. Join Will Smith, Dame Helen Mirren, some of the World’s biggest musicians and an expected 50,000 people throughout the world by sleeping out under the stars to help those who have no other choice. You will be helping to raise the life-saving funds needed to help a target of 1,000,000 homeless and displaced people in your area and throughout the world. 110 Who is behind the World’s Big Sleep Out? The World’s Big Sleep Out Campaign is founded by Josh Littlejohn MBE, the co-founder of the charity Social Bite - based in Scotland.
The event is run in partnership with the Institute for Global Homelessness (IGH), UNICEF USA, Malala Fund and Social Bite of which more details are below. Social Bite started as a small sandwich shop in Edinburgh that started offering employment and free food to homeless people. 110
They have grown to become a major charity with a mission of eradicating homelessness in Scotland. Social Bite have previously hosted visits from A-List actors George Clooney and Leonardo Di Caprio.
Social Bite have since undertaken major projects including building a bespoke village for people struggling with homelessness and developing a major “Housing First” program helping 830 people out of homelessness.
They have also previously organised the World’s largest ever Sleep Out in Edinburgh - Sleep in the Park. This event campaign has raised over $10,000,000 in two years to tackle homelessness in Scotland.

PAWS2RESCUE Romanian Rescue Dogs
Paws2Rescue is a UK Registered charity (1156882) that works to relieve the plight of Romanian dogs by supporting private shelters with food and bedding, raising donations for veterinary treatments and running education and neutering programmes. We also help some of these dogs to find loving family homes in the UK and across Europe.
to know what has happened to the rest of them: because the government should instil a national neuter programme. The rest of the world knows that capture and kill does not work – when will the Romanian government wake up? Text to 70085 and message NEUTER 3 to donate £3 to our neuter campaign.
Our Work in Romania During our visits to Romania, we visit public shelters. The Romanian stray dog policy is capture, hold and kill. The government paid dog catchers catch the dogs on dog poles, not in a humane manner, the dogs screaming in fear, and the dogs are then taken in vans to the public shelters. The conditions in many of these is simply horrific. We have worked with our rescuers to try to improve conditions, or expose the shelters. Many of the shelter staff simply do not care about the dogs. Dogs in public shelters eat each other in hunger, disease is rife and the puppies die. Not every public shelter is like this, but many are. The law is that the dogs are held in the shelter for up to 14 days. After 14 days they are killed – and not using the kind injection that is used in the civilised world. In our visit in April 2017, we went to Mihailesti public shelter in Bucharest. Whilst it is clean, and the staff do care about the dogs, it is still a kill shelter. If the dogs are not adopted, after 14 days, they are killed here. Disease is rife, and the pups cannot survive. The kill list is long. It is our dilemma which dogs to take out – we think that it is not our right to choose who will live and die. We reserved and took out 14 dogs who are now in our rescuers care. It is heatbreaking 112
We care about the children too
At Easter and Christmas each year, we take donations from everyone across the UK over to Romania. With our rescuers help, we go to the rural villages, to abused childrens homes and to orphanages and share these special celebrations with the children. Romania is a religious country, and these two times of year are celebrated across the country. At Easter in April 2017, we went to Romania to meet some of these children. We took Easter eggs from the UK and shoeboxes filled with gifts. It was an emotional time, and also a sad realisation that these children had no idea how to show a dog love. When
we knelt down to hug stray dogs, the look on their faces was as though we were from another planet – and it really hit us this day, that the children are simply not educated – no one tells them how to treat a dog with love and care. Thank you everyone who kindly donates.
to raise money locally back in the UK, to build a school that would be free for all children. The plans made, the school will consist of 3 classrooms 3 toilets running water to drink and an office. Amazingly the cost of building this school is only around £4,000-£5,000. Working with the local dog and cat rescue Gambicats, we will educate the children about caring for animals, using our Paws2Rescue Education Programme already being used in schools across Romania. Gambia has a huge problem with stray cats and dogs, and we are keen to educate and help the future generations. The school will also have chickens, which the children will be taught to look after. With the land in Gambia purchased by our friends, and the perimeter wall built, the locals in Brufut are starting to make the bricks that will build the school. We are so excited for our 2019 project and cannot wait to extend our Animal Care Education programme into Gambia.
International Projects
Our main objective is to help the dogs in Romania. However any dog or animal in distress tears us apart. So every year, as part of Paws2Rescue’s commitment to helping animals in desperate need around the world, we undertake one International Project in addition to our work in Romania.
2019 - Gambia
This year our International Project is Gambia. Our friends in the UK, Tim and Tanya Catt, started helping a local pre school in Brufut, Gambia years ago. Conditions came to a head when they went last year to visit and the schoolchildren were in arrears in paying the landlord – he was threatening to close the school – shockingly, they only needed to pay £1 per term per child, but sometimes even this was hard to find. Our friends paid the arrears and decided

NoToDogMeat was founded by Julia de Cadenet,a dual-qualified lawyer, who first witnessed the horrors of the live meat markets in China in 2009. After lobbying for the rights of dogs in South Korea, where one dog is slaughtered every 13 seconds and torture is commonplace, she committed herself to mobilise others by raising awareness and to bring about change by starting the NoToDogMeat global campaign. This campaign began on social media in April 2013, by a like-minded group from the fields of law, veterinary science, journalism and animal rescue – all motivated by their love of ‘man’s best friend’. People around the world responded immediately and on May 18th 2013 NoToDogMeat held public protests for the first ‘World Awareness Day’ against the dog and cat meat trade in over 36 towns and cities. The charity World Protection for Dogs and Cats in the Meat Trade, the first charity of its kind in the United Kingdom was legally formed on May 24th 2013 and was placed on the UK Charity Commission register in November. We aim to promote enforcement of the ‘Universal Five Freedoms of the Sentient Being’ for the dogs and cats as defined in Article 7 of the OIE Terrestrial Code. In China close to 10 Million dogs are skinned alive, their fur then sold for cheap clothing. Frequently, this barbaric cruelty takes place in front of children. Dog meat festivals such as in Yulin are commonplace and there is no regard given to health or sanitation. Koreans believe the more the animal suffers the better the meat tastes. This means dogs are beaten and blowtorched alive and cats are boiled to make soup and elixirs. Imagine a kitchen full of pressure cookers where cats are plunged into hot water alive. This happens in a sophisticated country – the home of brands like Samsung, LEG and Hyundai. In Thailand pets are stolen or bought for a plastic bucket and then sold, trafficked into Vietnam for nearly $250 each where they await the most unspeakable torture. And, in Indonesia dogs are burnt alive in open markets just minutes from tourist attractions. This epidemic of cruelty which extends throughout Asia and beyond has no place in the new millennium. NoToDogMeat respects cultural differences but does not agree with the systematic torture dogs
and cats and the cultural practice of deliberately making an animal suffer. This is not farming but is an illegal, unregulated industry, run by criminal gangs and fuelled by greed. In May 2013, NoToDogMeat took a short film on the dog meat trade to the Cannes Film Festival (Marche du Film) using footage of cruelty gathered by long-term activist Kyenan Kum from IAKA. It was the first time ever the dog and cat meat trade had been exposed on such an international platform! Since then more videos have been made to show the horrors that dogs and cats are subjected to and was on mainstream media in October 2014 when Channel 4 broadcast their Unreported World documentary Vietnam’s Dog Snatchers. NoToDogMeat now has thousands of active supporters around the globe. Each and every one is invited to play a part in changing history, share skills and contribute to making a difference. No action is too small! NoToDogMeat encourages active campaigning from all members and supporters. We pay tribute to the work of other groups – yet after 30 years campaigning with little effect we believe it is time to change approach. Being part of a global movement means every chapter can act autonomously in its events organising and campaigning activities, supported by our London team of volunteers and can access to regularly updated free material available for download from this site. All donations go directly to the registered charity and are carefully spent, with only a small portion spent on running costs. If you would like know more about to NoToDogMeat or join us, please send us an email via the contact form or call us on + 44 207 873 2250. You can also reach us on Skype: NoToDogMeat. Petition sheets, donation cheques and correspondence can be sent to our registered address : NoToDogMeat.17 Cavendish Square, London W1G 0PH UK.
