HOT EL N E WS INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN CELEBRATES ITS 53RD ANNIVERSARY InterContinental Jordan has reached another milestone to be added to its long list of milestones and achievements, as the five-star luxury hotel celebrates its 53rd anniversary on Tuesday March 15th. InterContinental Jordan first opened its doors in 1963 and had become ever since one of the best and sought after five-star properties that locals and tourists alike consider as their first destination for entertainment, leisure and business. The hotel set the standard for luxury, excellent service, and world-class standards that others are trying to reach. Throughout the hotel’s long journey, the hotel won many hospitality and tourism awards, held many important events of various sorts and kinds, hosted state visits, presidents, dignitaries, celebrities, and public figures, as well as catering to many outside events. InterContinental Jordan has successfully merged the concept of luxury with the concept of comfort in every aspect of the guest experience. In which the culture of guests’ loyalty is developing and increasing due to high level of guest satisfaction. HOT EL N E WS IHG IN JORDAN PARTICIPATES IN EARTH HOUR Just like every year, InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) hotels in Jordan participated in this year’s Earth Hour, which took place on Saturday March 19th. InterContinental Jordan, InterContinental Aqaba Resort, Crowne Plaza Amman, Crowne Plaza Resort Petra, Crowne Plaza Jordan Dead Sea Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn Amman, and Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea celebrated this momentous occasion by switching off the lights across their premises from 8:30 pm till 9:30 pm as a support for Earth Hour, where candles were lit in the hotels’ lobbies, around the pools and their beaches. Partaking in this initiative is part of IHG’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, which focuses on the environment as an important element that should be taken care of and conserved for a better quality of living for all IHG stakeholders and the future generations.

FRENCH W INE EVENING AT INTERCONTINENTAL JORD AN InterContinental Jordan in cooperation with the French Culture Centre hosted a French Wine Evening on Monday 14th of March 2016 at the Café Boulevard, the spacious café area that overlooks the hotel's outdoor pool. The highlight of the evening was the remarkable performance of the French cellist Goulven KA, where his approach to the instrument was out of the traditional conventions. Among the invitees in the evening were The French Ambassador, H.E Mr. David Bertolotti and the CEO of Orange, Mr. Jerome Henique. The wine evening takes place the second Monday of each month, offering different types of exclusive wine from different countries around the world, served to the guests along with a rich buffet offering a variety of food, desserts and fine cheeses. This hotel's genuine activity attracts many guests and friends of InterContinental Jordan, as they take part in a bustle that offers a relaxing and unwinding environment in the stylish atmosphere that the hotel offers at the Café Boulevard. This occasion also offers the guests a great chance to taste, invigorate and enjoy the unique flavour of luxurious wines and a delicious buffet that will suit the type of wine that night.
