HOTEL NEWS CHARITY IFTAR AT INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN UNDER THE PATRONAGE OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN NOOR As always, InterContinental Jordan takes charitable efforts and socially responsible initiatives seriously throughout the year. Thus, as the ﬁve-star property is accustomed to every Ramadan, it held a big Ramadan Iftar for four of the biggest and most important charitable institutions in Jordan, under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Noor. SOS, Save the Children, Mabarret Umm Al Hussein, and Al Nahda’s 310 guests were hosted in a lavish Iftar in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Noor, who has always been part of InterContinental Jordan’s journey, especially in its contribution towards the improvement and growth of the community. All guests enjoyed a fun and exciting Iftar event, which included a lot of entertainment and fun activities for the children. It was a successful event that many parties participated in to make sure that it stands out, and each one of the charities received a handsome donation from Jordan Commercial Bank.

HOTEL NEWS INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN BRINGS HAPPINESS DURING RAMADAN A very special time of year, Ramadan with its entire generous, hospitable and prosperous atmosphere is here, & as part of the yearly charitable activities organised by InterContinental Jordan, the hotel hosted an Iftar meal for H.R.H. Prince Ali Deaf Club at the centre with rich buffet. Everybody at the club enjoyed the Iftar activity & thanked InterContinental Jordan represented there by the Hotel Manger Mr. Bassam Abu Hasan for such a gesture during the Holy month of Ramadan.

HOTEL NEWS THE OPENING OF THE LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT CENTER AT INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN During the IHG IMEA Annual workshop that took place at InterContinental Jordan, Mr. Pascal Guavin, IHGâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Commercial Chief Operating OfďŹ cer, and Mr. Michael Koth, General Manager of InterContinental Jordan, inaugurated the advanced Learning & Development Center at InterContinental Jordan. The InterContinental Jordan Learning & Development Center is a specialized center aimed at offering the InterContinental Jordan colleagues corporate trainings, including new orientations for the new joiners, leadership programs for high-potential colleagues and colleagues at the supervisory level, or technical and online trainings, such as English language, computer skills trainings, and many others. The center is equipped with advanced technologies to provide better resources to the hotel colleagues to encourage them to work on their development in a modern setting, such as laptops, projectors and TV screens.

HOTEL NEWS THEMED GALA DINNER AT THE CITADEL ORGANZIED BY INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN As part of the IHG IMEA Annual Commercial Workshop that took place at InterContinental Jordan, the five-star property organized a lavish gala dinner for all attendees of the three-day workshop at the breathtaking and famous landmark, the Citadel. The majestic place filled with an air of history and a little bit of mystery was the ideal backdrop for the themed gala dinner that was attended by more than 150 IHG colleagues from the region. The overall theme was Roman, including the rich and delicious dinner, whereby the cocktails were inspired by the Greek era, while the desserts followed the Omayyad theme and culinary art. The themed gala dinner did not stop at the food, as there was a female flute player providing beautiful soft music accompanied by a story-teller who narrated to the guests the mesmerizing story and history of the Citadel. There were also Roman gladiators roaming the location on horses, reminiscent of the old mystique times of the ancient Roman Empire. It was definitely a memorable and outstanding night that everyone enjoyed and will never forget. The IHG IMEA Annual Commercial Workshop is organized annually in one of the countries in the region, and it is one of the most important and pivotal activities undertaken by IHG for the benefit of its Sales & Marketing teams and the IHG properties as a whole.

HOTEL NEWS IHG ANNUAL COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP AT INTERCONTINENTAL JORDAN InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) properties in India, Middle East, & Africa, gathered for their Annual Commercial Workshop in the five-star luxurious hotel InterContinental Jordan. More than 150 IHG colleagues working in the Sales & Marketing departments of the various IHG hotels and brands met together in a three-day workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by both Mr. Aqel Biltagi, Mayor of Amman- who attended as a guest speaker- and Mr. Pascal Guavin, Chief Operating Officer at IHG, whereby both delivered speeches and announced the commencement of the eventful and rich workshop. Mr. Biltagi’s speech was an inspirational one that received a lot of positive feedback, as it focused on how Jordan is truly a safe haven for all visitors, and that each one of the attendees of the IHG colleagues are ambassadors to Jordan who convey a bright image of what the Kingdom is all about. The workshop was also attended by James Britchford, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for IHG IMEA, and Shailesh Pallipuram, Head Revenue Management & Analytics for IHG AMEA.The workshop included many meetings, presentations, discussions, and awards that are related to the core of IHG and hospitality and tourism. There were also many recreational events in between, such as a lavish themed gala dinner at the Citadel, cocktail receptions, and dinners.
