The campaign was spearheaded by Director of Engineering, Allan Barrera in coordination with different departments to hold eco-awareness activities throughout the week. A total of 54 employees participated reducing 2,567 carbon emission. Other eco-awareness activities were Waste Stream Audit which was conducted by collecting and segregating waste from different department and measuring each department’s consumption and Energy Reduction Day where departments are encouraged to save energy by turning off unused lights and using daylight in offices. The campaign concluded with a Recycled Art Exhibition held at the hotel lobby. Employees created crafts using scrap materials such as chair and chandelier made of recycled drinking bottles, a rescue boat made of used metal bars and scrap wood planks, an eco-dress made of used door knob menus, and a sculpture of chef made of assorted garbage materials such as cooking oil tins, drinking bottles, weighing scale, and patched apron.
