A GUIDE TO SURVIVING AT HOME AND IN THE WILD
For Fall 2015, Original Penguin takes an adventure to the great outdoors. Starting in a secluded forest, the collection explores the lighter side of camping, following the trail wherever it leads. Looking at Original Penguin’s heritage as “The Original Leisure Company” the brand offers a playful look at all things outdoors -- transforming the autumnal foliage into whimsical vine and camo prints as seen on a chambray long sleeve woven and the classic Earl Polo. The color palette blends deep shades of blue with burnt oranges and Italian plums juxtaposed against various shades of ultramarine green, sycamore and rosin to provide a refined palette for any outdoor escape. The adventure leisurely moves lakeside, as the collection reflects the open water set against epic, ombre blushed landscapes. Hues of auburn red, nugget gold and chive brighten up the Color palette as seen on abstract spatter and raindrop prints adorning a classic rosin bomber and a printed P55 jogger, a new pant silhouette introduced for this season. Outerwear is prominent whether it’s a red mélange Ratner with draw chord strings or a grey quilted down jacket with a pop of snorkel blue. Finally, as the sun begins to set, the collection looks to the sky to admire the array of colors from the Aurora Borealis set against marbled ice and glistening starry nights. Cracked ice and starry prints are consistent throughout the collection as colors freeze into crystal and pearl blues alongside seaport teals, rich purples and cadmium yellows. A speckled night shadow blazer provides a sharp tailored yet cozy alternative to a warm fisherman’s sweater with ribbed cable detailing. Flannels offer an amazing blanket statement in heavyweight twills and plaids that pair perfectly with a new army pant, creating a comfortable and modern ensemble for any dusk to dawn excursion.

HOW TO CRAFT THE PERFECT OLD FASHIONED Fig. 1 INGREDIENTS
.5 oz dry vermouth 1 maraschino cherry lemon twist
2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
.5 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes of orange bitters
Step 1
In mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine whiskey, vermouth and bitters.
Step 2
Stir well for 30 seconds, then strain into cocktail glass.
Step 3
Add cherry, lemon twist and serve.

Find a location with good lighting and a mirror. Ask yourself if people would trust the devilish rogue staring back at you. Realize that’s not happening. Then Dampen and comb moustache.
Take a moment of silence to recognize that it took way too long for you to grow this. Trim for shape. Cut down the surrounding area to clear the canvas that is your face. Do this while keeping your hand as steady as possible.
Trim for length. Remove unwanted areas using the top of your lip as the cutoff line.
