Exel brand was founded in 1960 by three chemists that began to manufacture electronic detonators for explosives. The name Exel drives from the company’s origin, explosive electronics. Composite products were introduced in 1970. Since, we have been one of the foremost Finnish sports equipment manufactures. In 1973 we started the production of cross-country poles and 1976 Innsbruck olympic games were the breakthrough for Exel cross-country poles. The rest is golden history To this day Exel is known for it’s pioneering spirit that has led to innovations, shaping the sports as we know it.

Updated versions of our popular Fusion straps. New materials are softer, but at the same time stronger, making the Fusion2 straps now even more comfortable to use. Updated velcro material.
Normal plastic buggle in the strap side is removed and tightening part is added to the strap frame to remove any hard spots inside the straps.
