We are naturally drawn to bright interiors; the more natural light the better when it comes to your home, but for 2018 we will be stepping away from pale colours that brighten up the home and will instead be looking to the darkest of all hues: black. Spotted everywhere throughout Maison, black is an unexpected colour for the home but can be introduced subtly with a few key elements, think black light fixtures in minimalist shapes and contemporary furniture with inky finishes. Refined and minimalistic, the Back to Black trend favours a pared-back interior scheme to really come into its own; don’t be tempted to offset the dark hue with too many embellishments, the key to getting this look right is simplicity.
